Why are all your cameos with other youtubers about killing each other?
Joel, I really mean this, you are such a good actor. Most people suffer from sounding like they're acting when they act, and the other end of that spectrum is sounding bland. You just sound straight up natural.
I know a lot of what you do is improv. It would be great to see you in something more scripted. I think it'd be a good challenge for you and your skills.
I love how you colab with smaller creators to help them instead of just focusing on bigger creators to grow your own channel.
There's so much melancholy in the air. As two grown men who don't know each other sit by the pool, trying to grasp at friendship like they once did in their youth. When it was easier.

The betrayal and dread I felt when I saw the text were palpable. I actually teared up thinking of Joel's character not getting to do all the things he wanted to in life lol. Really well done!

I loved this one. The long pregnant pauses were BEAUTIFUL.
I love them as well! It was fun to add tension
I couldn't hear the eerie music at the end the first time I watched it. I thought it was his wife texting him and he was lying about doing a job to hang out with a new friend and escape life for an evening. Then the text comes in and snaps him back to reality.
I feel like if you slapped some film bars on this puppy, it could pass as an A24 film. I love it

The sound design at the end is so eerie it does a great job of raising the tension even though you know exactly what’s going to happen. I wanna watch Chlorine again now.

I'd like to think Dan works at the pool and he had to finish cleaning it and that was his job. He looked over at Joel because he was thinking it might be rude to get up and leave him after the heartfelt convo.

Since I'm a Chlorine fan, I had a feeling near the end what was happening as I saw the text msg. I got goosebumps with the choice of music/bug sound (whatever that was), the choice was perfect and creepy.....nicely done

SPOILER - Nicely done. A lot to unpack and left to interpretation. Why is this guy a target? It was all a setup but why did the supposed hit man let him live for so long? Was the hitman having second thoughts? Was he a hitman or in typical Joel Haver style was he there with a job to just make the other guy happy? Lol!

A couple of weeks ago I locked myself out of my car right outside of my favorite Mexican restaurant. I bought some tools at a nearby hardware store and fished my keys out through the car window. I never went back to that restaurant.
yeah the locking keys part of this short film is really true. I actually helped my neighbor break into his car after he locked himself out.
