In big norwegian range test this summer EQS 450+ had just slighly better range (620km vs 596km) than 580 4 Matic so the difference might not be that big. For some reason 450+ (12.8% under wltp) underperformed much more compared to WLTP than 580 4Matic (7.88% under wltp). Speed and weather was the same for both models.

Hi Bjorn, i drive across Europe from the UK on a regular basis in an EQE. The best thing is the efficiency at high speed. You can sit at 150km/h and only use a bit extra energy before arriving at the next charge stop. Between that and the excellent cruise control it eats up the miles. I went skiiing twice this winter both 2500km journeys and it was so easy its almost unbelievable how fresh you arrive at your destination.

Slower than the Model 3 LR but in any case not comparable. different type, people who go for this would never consider a Model 3 LR. Needs to be compared to a fair price competitor and ao far there is only Model S and that is not in Europe yet as a new version. Once it is there that is the benchmark. EQS competes with Taycan, Etron GT and Model S Plaid I would say.
I was disappointed when I looked at the EQE here in Prague: in everything considerably worse than the EQS and to me far overpriced esp once you spec it to include reasonable extras. But it is good that we get more and more different EVs and as long as people like them and buy them it is always better than any petrol burning ICE

@@ahpadt nope that is a myth... I looked at it and it seemed wayyyy below mine and esp the new normal C Class. And lightyears away from the stunning interior of the EQS. but that is only my opinion.

you can't really compare: not the same journey, not the same hours of driving and above all: not the same temperatures..
