The problem is you need to be pretty close to the dog. I've got two dogs that are about 100 yards away, but they're LOUD, and they go from about 2-3:00pm to 9-10:00pm. Damned neighbors shouldn't have dogs if they can't keep them quiet. Seems I'll need to set up my old PA system with a loudspeaker treble horn. What's your setup?
I download wav, flac mp4 20khz files and played on many devices including my phone. All they worked perfectly and I can hear. On RUclips particularly this video can not hear. Try with the dog and the same. RUclips just cut and delete sound due to performance and optimization. This is fake!!!
I’m 37 and I had to turn the volume up and stick my phone next to my ear to be able to hear it. It sounded like an old Apple II computer monitor when you first turned it on.

The CRT TV noise. This is how I knew that father was at home, chilling in his room. And yeah, he said he doesn't hear anything at all, good for him. I couldn't sit in front of the CRT and listen to this "whine", my head would explode.
I had a dr do a sinuplasty and her accidentally dilated my ET. I have hyperacusis now and PET on both sides. I had to have plugs or shims put in both tubes to close them because when I would breath air would freely flow and hit the inner part of my eardrum. I can hear my voice real loud cause everything just flows through my ET. Pretty much destroyed my life as an audiophile. Dont let doctors mess with ears or sinuses unless you really have to mistakes happen.
I played this in an auditorium and apparently high frequency sound travels farther so there were people on the other side of the room putting their hands over their ears.
The telephones in my office make this noise. I was getting headaches and now have tinnitus at this frequency, and I’m convinced sitting right next to these things caused it.😔
