Angelina is finding her own style more and more and will hopefully/probably never stop doing that. Amy Winehouse is certainly an inspiration and during the same concerts she also sang 'Tears dry on their own'. So yes you hear and see a bunch of Amy here. Other inspiration are amongst others: Adele, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Queen, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackon, The Beatles, Sam Smith and many others. She uses all of those to create her own style.
Her voice is very versatile and her vocal toolbox is very rich and she uses it to tell her stories and convey the emotion with the story. This song is nice and upbeat, the bass gives the song a heartbeat and her singing gives it a soul. The song has a beautiful message: she said it about never giving up on yourself and your dreams no matter what lives throws at you!
    Thanks!

When asked the question at 7 years of age, Angelina cited the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra and Dinah Washington as having influenced her. She has also covered a lot of Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston music and Adele is clearly someone she admires.
But it's obvious she is not limiting herself to specific genres or styles. She has sung Country, EDM, even Reggae in her short time in the social media spotlight. I have lost count of the number of different covers that prompt reactors and even experts like yourself to opine: "her voice suits the song" (or vice versa). Eventually one must conclude that Angelina can summon up an appropriate and often better-suited voice and singing style for any song she decides to sing.
Years ago I joked in a comment that she should do a rap. Lo and behold, she is given the title sequence of The Hating Game movie soundtrack and decides to "spit some bars" if I haven't butchered the vernacular. What she can achieve may in the end be limited by her versatility; I don't know who her target market will be even after following her for seven years. I've played her to teenagers who are, on the whole, underwhelmed by or indifferent to her song choices but almost across the board staggered by her singing.
Unfortunately commercial success being commensurate with vocal quality has not really been our reality for decades. On the other hand, today's reality is the only one Angelina has known and I have a feeling she is getting as much satisfaction from her burgeoning reputation as she ever will from cash in the bank. So her ambition to "sing for all the people of the world" may not turn out to be naive infant rambling after all because it's hard for me to believe that many people worldwide won't have at least heard her in ten years time.

Sadly, Angelina’s paternal grandfather died in March 2018 and her maternal grandfather died in November 2019. Angelina’s maternal grandmother Mery Zamani has had tremendous influence on Angelina and her career as she introduced Angelina to jazz at early age. Mery is somewhat famous Iranian contemporary writer, poet and painter who was also child prodigy herself being on Radio Iran's Children program at age 4 and began writing poetry and painting by age of 9. Later Mery was trained in art at Tokyo Academy in Japan where she met her Japanese husband, during her master degree's training in Japan. There is ten-year old video showing some of Mery's artwork in home setting: ruclips.net/video/i9NxX0tSjS0/видео.html
---- Mery has RUclips channel that supports Angelina called Angelina Jordan Fanclub Mosarz: ruclips.net/channel/UChM_lpT4shdnsez93QMJPig. There are lots of videos in it that could only have been taken by insider or family member. Mery is also widely known under artist alias name Mosarz
---- Mery illustrated book "Mellom to hjerter" (Between Two Hearts) that Angelina wrote and was published in November 2015 when Angelina was 9 years-old and became youngest published author in Norway. Book based on Angelina's diary/notebooks and describes her meeting with shoeless girl. Podcast was published by Angelina’s publisher, Cappelen Damm, in November 2015. In it Angelina talks with Erling Kittelsen, Norwegian author and poet and friend of family, about her book. Angelina tells of her understanding with little girl that Angelina will not wear shoes when she performs and that little girl will pray for Angelina. During pauses in talk, we hear small extracts from book which should be on children's reading list: ruclips.net/video/6p6iL989P_8/видео.html
There are three published Angelina videos created and directed by Mery:
---- Fly Me To The Moon (as 10-year old, sung with acoustic guitar in one of her most viewed videos: ruclips.net/video/jnnzbdt4_RE/видео.html)
---- When You're Smiling (as 11-year old, starts out with her missing school attendance. She is riding bike and comes across sad girl crying and stops to see what is wrong. You will have to watch to see what happens next: ruclips.net/video/bLuNQ6s7fCQ/видео.html)
---- Shield [as 12-year old, Angelina co-wrote this song. As 13-year old, Mery did artistic video of Angelina singing song: ruclips.net/video/m8OCbAlr_48/видео.html. As 12-year old, sung on very popular Scandinavian talk show Skavlan (2.5 to 3 million viewers per show): ruclips.net/video/lQtUbVKb0vs/видео.html]
[In interview (changes to English at about 0:36 mark) before Angelina sung on Skavlan, paraphrasing, she said that when she sings she goes into endless other world that is full of happiness. She said that song Shield is about someone you love and whose strong love protects you wherever you are. Angelina said song's sound was inspired by Bond films. Her favorite Bond film songs are Diamonds Are Forever and Goldfinger. She sings few bars of Diamonds Are Forever a cappella. She said that highlight of her career was singing for Quincy Jones' 85th birthday concert in London. When asked if she feels like she is 12 years old, Angelina says she only does when she looks at her passport: ruclips.net/video/97hjWg4ToRQ/видео.html]
[as 13-year old, sung on 7/12/2019 at outdoor concert at Prøysenhuset, Rudshøgda, Norway: ruclips.net/video/whH6fnKAooo/видео.html. As 12-year old, sung in club-like venue with same band used for 2018 Kongsberg Jazz Festival: ruclips.net/video/9sYypd1yGR4/видео.html]
---- Million Miles (co-wrote as 14-year old. Produced by Stargate. There are four video versions. Audio with lyrics using Mery’s and Angelina’s paintings as background: ruclips.net/video/NhKRh5ZtuWk/видео.html. Audio only: ruclips.net/video/2D9qvBfx47s/видео.html. Official music video: ruclips.net/video/XA1_CUaM52I/видео.html)
[you reacted on January 21, 2021 to video studio live performance]
[Angelina said: "This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one. I wrote this song thinking about all the great memories I had with my grandpa and how much it hurts to lose someone. I hope this song finds a place in your heart, as it comes straight from mine."]
---- 7th Heaven (co-wrote as 15-year old. Produced by Stargate. There are four video versions. Audio with lyrics that uses Mery’s painting Rows of Angels as background: ruclips.net/video/o4Vl3I1WWq4/видео.html. [Stargate is Norwegians Tor E. Hermansen and Mikkel S. Eriksen and based in LA. They have won 4 Grammy Awards. They also worked with Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Celine Dion, Sam Smith, Katy Perry, Whitney Houston, and others]
[Angelina said: “The initial idea for ‘7th Heaven’ was that I love the number 7, and ‘heaven’ is such a powerful word and makes you dream away. I collaborated with Stargate to create ‘7th Heaven’. The background story of making this song was that I had this melody that I played for Tor and Mikkel and it turned out that they loved the idea and it went pretty smooth from there to the finished song. We definitely tried many different elements to feel the right sound to it.”]
[Angelina believes: “Life has ups and downs, and you always have to be ready for whatever is coming up. The song is a reminder to look at everything in a positive light and not get down on yourself. Most importantly-no matter what you’re doing-don’t give up. It’s also meant to make you dance.”]
[Angelina tells how studio video will look: “The visual will look something like old school meets new school kinda vibe to it. I love the styles they had before and I want to bring it back again.”]
[Angelina revealed that she is often inspired to create music from personal pain: “Strong emotions, mainly painful ones, often make me write music.”]

Thank you for your informative reaction. I certainly like the idea of delving further into the artist. I also recommend when evaluating a cover song that you play a minute or so of the original before you do the actual artist.
Angelina's influences start back at 2 or 3 years old. Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Diana Washington, Aretha Franklin, Elvis, Whitney Houston, Adele, Amy Winehouse and many more have shaped her.
You to serve credit for what you do, and your viewers should like, comment, share and subscribe to your Channel. The fact is most do not know how best to support you or the artist, and would comply if they knew HOW and WHY! Begin by providing all reactor and artist links in your description. Next, inform your viewers either verbally, or by PINNING the support guidelines below, which educate your audience on HOW and WHY. You may also use this information personally to guide your verbal discussion.
    VIEWERS:
Help enhance the exposure of your favorite reactors and artists! It is essential to first address the RUclips algorithm, as it determines how frequently videos are displayed on viewers' RUclips feeds. "Showing love", as you hear from some reactors, does not help the algorithms. Rather, take the very specific actions below to elevate the reactors' and artists' analytics.
First, focus on the reactors as they are the ones who promote your favorite artists. Help them boost their algorithms by watching their entire REACTOR video, and liking, commenting, and sharing, then subscribing to THEIR channel links. Pay equal attention to the artists' algorithms, as this provides the same critical benefits! Use the ARTISTS' ORIGINAL video link to watch till the end, like, comment, and share, and subscribe to THEIR channel links as well.
It is clear that boosting REACTORS' and ARTISTS' algorithms improves their analytics, and ultimately expands both their fan bases. Follow these guidelines to help further the careers of your favorite artists, and to encourage new reactor subscriptions from greater fan loyalty, as have hundreds of others. PEACE AND LOVE.

Billie Holiday is her biggest inspiration. She has said that without Billie Holiday there would be no Angelina Jordan. Her first two public performances were Billie Holiday songs. Of course, all the other jazz greats influenced her too. She grew up on jazz because of the influence of her grandmother, artist Meri Zamani, from Iran. But she is her own 'driver' of the Angelina train! She goes where she wants and sings what she wants, and is not afraid of anything. Whitney Houston? No problem. James Brown? Just hand me the mic. Amy Winehouse? I'll do it after lunch. Fearless.

---- Angelina's influences include Billie Holiday; Dinah Washington; Amy Winehouse; Whitney Houston (Angelina's first recorded singing video was her at age 1 1/2 years old, with a microphone, singing Whitney's song I Will Always Love You that Angelina had heard on RUclips); Screamin' Jay Hawkins; many, many others
---- Angelina's maternal grandmother Mery Zamani introduced Angelina to jazz at an early age (Mery herself was a child artist prodigy and was also a contemporary writer and poet. See following for examples of Mery's artwork: ruclips.net/video/i9NxX0tSjS0/видео.html)
---- Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School. It is an integrated primary, middle and high school with around 550 pupils. The school is considered one of the most prestigious schools in Norway. The arts play a major role in the Waldorf's curriculum and the activities surrounding the school. The Oslo Waldorf School includes a professionally equipped theater hall. Due to its long waiting lists, pupils are often enrolled shortly after birth to attend the school. Angelina made her first studio recording at Waldorf of I Who Have Nothing at the age of 6-years old which can be seen here (make sure to click CC for subtitles as some Norwegian is spoken in the video): ruclips.net/video/RjQZKBpVaes/видео.html
---- Angelina participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where she received piano lessons and possibly some very basic vocal lessons. No attempt was made to change her style as that is not a good thing to do at any age unless one is hurting one's voice. In addition to singing and playing the piano, she plays violin, guitar and flute, and also paints. Unlike the US, the Norwegian system of extracurricular schools of music and performing arts (SMPA) is mandated by law. These schools are designed to reach all children and youth aged 6 to 15 in Norway. The law governing it states that each municipality, "alone or in collaboration with other municipalities, shall provide courses in music and other cultural activities for children and young people, organized in association with the school system and local cultural life" (see Norwegian Education Act 1998, § 13-6)
---- Among Angelina's favorite places to visit as a child was the "Bare Jazz Kafé" (Only Jazz Café) in Oslo. The owner noted that Angelina would listen to old classic jazz music
---- Angelina was said to love to sing all the time. She also was/is not afraid to tackle many genres of music spanning jazz, R&B, soul, gospel, country, pop, rock, EDM, classical written specifically for her, disco, movie sound-track, etc and across eras from the 1920's to 2020's. There are over 160 published covers on RUclips that Angelina has done. She has short snippets of more song covers published on TikTok and Instagram. This broad spectrum of music can only have helped Angelina's musicality
---- By singing jazz, Angelina learned singing by tackling what many people consider possibly the hardest music genre (some say in some ways even more than classical). Within jazz songs we have changing keys and do not have the same chord changes and patterns constantly occurring. The singer must become more of a musician and not just anyone who can carry a tune. She was exercising her vocal muscles in all kinds of ways, gaining more and more control over them
---- Angelina also appears to have been gifted with with height (reported to be at least 5' 10" tall), a longer neck, a wider/squarer face, and possibly a larger larynx than the average woman. She thus has lower pitch to be able to produce a lower Fo, plus has a longer vocal track to produce a 'darker'-sounding voice. Add to this fantastic breath control and a wonderful sense of musicality
---- As you know, there is the voice's lower register (i.e., one's chest voice where the sound one produces partially vibrates through your upper chest and gives it a deeper tone color), and the higher register (i.e., one's head voice which is sometimes called one's falsetto voice where the sound one produces partially vibrates through one's skull and gives it a brighter tone color). Each register is separated by “breaks” that can be just a single note, or several. Typically, these "bridge" note(s), are the most difficult notes in one's range to sing well. However, fortunately, one's vocal cords are a muscle that can be stretched and strengthened. One can extend one's overall range by stretching one's vocal cords, and, similarly, one can strengthen one's "breaks" via exercising, and training. One can seamlessly sing some of the same note(s) in the middle of one's range in both registers providing smooth transitions. In my opinion, Angelina’s transitions between registers are exquisite
---- Angelina also looks to have fantastic control of her vocal muscles and where she generates her sounds from. It appears she can move her larynx to add depth and tones to her sound
---- Angelina also appears to be cool as a cucumber when singing, that allows incredible control over all aspects of her singing whether singing softly a cappella (i.e., beginning of Bohemian Rhapsody) all the way up to full belting (i.e., also in Bohemian Rhapsody)
---- And as Angelina is growing older, her vocal muscles continue to grow and strengthen. Her techniques further improving as Angelina experiments. One can easily hear the changes in her voice by listening to older and newer performances of the same song. The hints of a child's voice grew to that of a young adult and in a few years should further grow into a mature adult's voice
---- Although it is not known whether or not Angelina has taken formal voice lessons, there is evidence that she does more than just open her mouth and start to sing. Where Angelina got these singing exercises from is unclear. Angelina's mother Sara Astar had said in a March 2014 interview that Angelina started out watching RUclips videos, started singing at age 1 1/2 years old, and loved jazz (within this interview click CC because in Norwegian: ruclips.net/video/4EPqVvliE7I/видео.html). Later, when Angelina was 10-years old, she was interviewed on Norwegian TV by Dorthe Skappel where Angelina shows Dorthe some breathing exercises that Angelina does. Where Angelina got these exercises in unknown. But this strongly suggests that Angelina did more than just sing to hone her craft. The totality of what Angelina did (and may now be doing) is not known (click on CC because interview is in Norwegian: ruclips.net/video/AlT20-mE6bc/видео.html)

---- Ain’t No Sunshine [Angelina was 12 years-old. This is Bill Withers classic 1971 R&B hit. Musicians Hank Roberts (great cello), Brian Wilson (drums), Mike Stark (piano) and Anna Coogan (guitar) originally performed song for singer Canen. Mashup was created using Angelina’s simple cover and band making fantastic composition: ruclips.net/video/JyziJiJ1HYg/видео.html]

---- I Will Survive (This 1978 disco hit by Gloria Gaynor is mashed with Angelina’s audio-only track. Whenever 35-year old Gloria is shown, she is singing. Whenever 10-year old Angelina is shown, she is singing. Close eyes and literally tough to tell any difference. Mind-blowing: ruclips.net/video/Nryuk21mXkQ/видео.html)
---- Easy On Me (Angelina was 15-years old when she released cover video of Adele’s latest hit song from 2021. Angelina has been influenced by many great singers of the past or present: Amy, Adele, Elvis, Ella, Etta, Frank, Dinah, Queen, et.al. But the single greatest influence on Angelina is Billie Holiday. As she is fond of saying: "Without Billie Holiday, there would be no Angelina Jordan". But in the end, she is uniquely Angelina Jordan.

Welcome back Tina, really miss you reacting to Angie. (The nerdier for us the better)
It's good if you've heard the original & than Angie's version of a song) This is her original.
Also remember she never sings a song the same way twice, so their all 1st time reactions.
Please react to these from Angie.
“Suspicious Minds” (Elvis Presley cover) ruclips.net/video/RTbKhkceR00/видео.html Angie
released this on 6-21-22. Angie is 16 here. Love all of Angie's nods to Elvis, also his
wife Priscilla & daughter Lisa Marie & Angie growing up too.
“I have nothing” by Whitney Houston ruclips.net/video/iX0g99jN26U/видео.html Official cover
Looks like they even gave her the rights to her version of the song. Dropped 7-23-22. She’s 16. I love how Angie put in some of her jazzy back phrasing in it also
Check out more from Angie’s 3 concerts in Norway,
Angie even opened her 7-7-22 concert with a new cover called “Mount Everest”
ruclips.net/video/DYVxnY06BWw/видео.html You should watch the original short song & see
what makes what she does even more amazing. Here’s the the original by Labrinth. ruclips.net/video/4yPZs81lK3w/видео.html
Her 3 concerts are 7-1-22 in Kurbadhagen, 7-7-22 at Kongsberg & 7-10-22 again at Kurbadhagen. Angie had a lot of fun & so did the fans. (Mattias Axelsson, Vidar
Enerud, Kathrine Angeltveit & Trond Andersen are good channels to start with
They have some good recordings & video's).
(PS) About the song 7th Heaven from Angie. Words written by Angelina Jordan,
Composer Lyricist: Angelina Jordan Astar Composer Lyricist: Mikkel Storleer Eriksen, Composer Lyricist: Tor Erik Hermansen (Mikkel and Tor Erik are also the producers known as Stargate) & releasedit on 3-19-21 on a Friday. This genre is kind of jazz/soul/R&B/pop. Actually Angie made a new genre, her patented Jazzy/pop. Her Angie style. Angie wrote
the words & Stargate produced this. Republic Records Co-Founder and C.E.O. Monte Lipman personally signed her to the label after he heard her song “Million Miles” back in
the August of 2020 & ran after her & signed her.
In a 3-18-21 interview with “WithGuitars” Angelina said “Life has ups and downs,
and you always have to be ready for whatever is coming up. The song is a reminder to
look at everything in a positive light and not get down on yourself. Most importantly-no
matter what you’re doing-don’t give up. It’s also meant to make you dance.” She smiles. Angie also said, (“The initial idea for “7th Heaven” was that I love the number “7 and Heaven” is such a powerful word and makes you dream away,” she explained. “I
collaborated with Stargate to create ‘7th Heaven.’ The background story of making this
song was that I had this melody that I played for Tor and Mikkel and it turned out that they loved the idea and it went pretty smooth from there to the finish the song.”)
Angie actually proves her genius again on the writing & why it's short. At the end most are craving more so you go back to listen to it again & again etc etc. Plus she ends that last word on Hope & on a high note for than you come down naturally or as most they
just keep listing to the positive message. Pure story telling & word using genius & at 14-15 when she wrote this. Remember her musicality & music intelligence have always been off the charts.

I just rewatched your previous reaction to Angelina’s ’Million Miles’, and I found it to be informative, enjoyable, and having a nice flow. I am not sure why you would need to make adjustments in your reaction video format or technique.
However, appears that you sparingly create playlists on this channel and group all reactions into one list. Hopefully soon you may feel compelled to create a playlist specific to Angelina reactions.
Hope my sub just now is well rewarded with more AJ reactions in the near future.

Enjoyed your review and analysis. As you said, Angelina was giving value to each word. Not only that but she gives value to each note! One of the many reasons her legions of fans love her singing. So much thought and care put into every song from start to finish. She has carefully and meticulously studied the greatest jazz artists since 3 years old so you will hear a little of many different artists in her voice but it is clear that Angelina IS music and has her own style and her own special voice that is very recognizable. Angelina's 200+ video library and numerous videos of her rehearsals and interviews from literally a baby to now makes for a perfect match for you if you want to delve into learning about and watching an artist grow and how the voice changes over time. GREAT REACTION!

You can also mix in a shit load of other Jazz and Blues greats ( she did open for Nora Jones when she was 11) into that mix. However, her biggest and most influential singer, was Etta James! One thing that strikes me about Angelina is her song choices. This is her original but her selections of songs to cover almost always include well-known songs usually performed by legends (even if from another era when they were huge). She rarely chooses "small" songs. This has maybe two explanations; one, they are iconic songs that she uses to test herself, and two, they are well-crafted proven musical foundations upon which she can add her vocal nuances. It is pretty easy to "raise the bar" on some run-of-the-mill pop song but much less so on a "Bohemian Rhapsody" or "Bille Jean" yet that is what Angelina does!
Welcome back and your new style and detail of explanation is excellent. Be warned that Angelina sometimes brings so many vocal techniques and individual treatments for certain words or phrases to the table that describing them might be a lengthy (but enjoyable) challenge!

I enjoyed your reaction and analysis. We should always try to improve and think your new format worked well. I, along with other Angelina angels, have been trying to improve the music reaction world on RUclips by suggesting to reactors to encourage viewers to support the featured artist. This is especially important for aspiring artists like Angelina. I hope you will implement our suggestions and join hundreds of reaction channels who already have.
Like most reactors, you request that your viewers like, comment, share and subscribe to your Channel. The fact is that most do not know how best to support you or the artist, but would comply if they knew HOW and WHY! Begin by providing all reactor and artist links in your description. Next, inform your viewers HOW and WHY either verbally, or by PINNING the support guidelines below. I suggest your reading it, as it will help you understand what your viewers need to do to support you.

Her main influenced are Billie Holiday and Elvis! Like Amy Winehouse they are both influenced by Priscilla Presley in hair and style! She sang a Whitney Houston song when she was one and a Half! Her first studio work was at age 6! She won Norway's Got Talent at 7 and 8! She sang on The View, Fly Me To The Moon, at 8! You reacted to her 9 year old Put A Spell On Me! At 10 she did a live performance of Feeling Good! An interesting one is her at 12 singing How Great Thou Art in Elvis's original key! She turned 18 in January and Headlined her own show in Las Vegas in February! Two great documentaries on her are The Angelina Jordan Story Born to Sing the early years and Angelina Jordan 10 Years in the Making which highlights her Vegas show! Her Whitney cover of I Have Nothing love shows her upper range and ability to cover but make it her own! She does all her own arrangements, speaks 5 languages, plays piano, violin, guitar, and flute, and authored her own book on why she goes barefoot at all her performances at age 9! She also does a lot of charity work, mostly to help children!

She said that song is about someone you love and whose strong love protects you wherever you are. He is Brandon Lowry who has written and produced multiple songs for others including Lana Del Ray, Britney Spears, Avicii, Adam Lambert and Madonna. Angelina’s people did not allow the release of the song because they thought it to be the wrong stylistic choice for her. Baby FuzZ never heard Angelina’s demo until years later. This is a “leaked” version of the song Angelina recorded which at first was blocked by Angelina’s people for fear of copyright infringement issues, but Baby FuzZ really liked the demo and allowed it to stay up on RUclips: ruclips.net/video/Dv8mjCh5iiE/видео.html)
---- Above The Water [sung by Angelina as 13-year old, and shows her incredible cross genre abilities. She collaborated with Norwegian EDM (Electronic Dance Music) duo TRXD and recorded vocals for song. TRXD is Truls Dyrstad and David Atarodiyan where TRXD represents their names (TRuls X David). In 2020, song was released officially as audio only track and has over 4 million plays on Spotify. This song is third most played song of TRXD on Spotify. However, amazing unofficial video was created that added some footage of shuffle dancers doing variations of Melbourne Shuffle that originated in Melbourne, Australia, in underground rave scene. Although not exactly known when Melbourne Shuffle was developed (probably in mid to late 1980s), it supposedly was first shown publicly in TV interview by Ruppert Keller in 1990. Dance eventually took off and has become very popular in mainstream EDM festival scene, practiced by millions of EDM fans all over world. The 3-hour video New Year Mix 2022 - Best of EDM Party Electro House & Festival Music gives you an excellent look at EDM and the millions of people who love it (ruclips.net/video/gQlUknjUX0I/видео.html). EDM is so popular that there is a website dedicated to news about it. This song would be played by disc jockeys at a dance location as rave means a lively party or gathering involving dancing and drinking: ruclips.net/video/y6SilwnR2Zc/видео.html]
---- I Will Survive (as 10-year old, Angelina again hits it out of the park, in another new music genre: disco! This is only disco song to win Grammy. In 2016, Library of Congress deemed Gloria Gaynor's original recording to be "culturally, historically, or artistically significant" and selected it for preservation in National Recording Registry: ruclips.net/video/ma7sa_n7k-8/видео.html)
---- Song For A [as 13-year old, Angelina sung with music by modern classical composer Nico Cartosio. It can be described as musical poetry. Lyrics come from poem by Robert Burns. Song was written specifically for Angelina as part of mostly instrumentals album Melting (8 instrumentals plus Song For A). Album was recorded at famous Abbey Road studio and released in April 2019: ruclips.net/video/Bo3mhxPM-uA/видео.html]

like the new format and I'd love to see more AJ reactions. Also to truly appreciate Angelina's extensive Jazz influences growing up you need to hear her most recent release of "My Funny Valentine" ruclips.net/video/bWiLOnHJYxg/видео.html its a masterclass vocal of Jazz techniques. Also she just released a tribute to Elvis with her own arrangement of "Suspicious Minds" it's modern twist yet respectful of Elvis's version. Hope to see these and more. Cheers and TY

If you may be considering examples of what some other vocal coaches include in their reactions, then here are a few of my favorites (assuming you have already watched Bohemian Rhapsode, but a quick search suggests ‘maybe not?’):
    ruclips.net/video/9VuIWL_AR7E/видео.html
    ruclips.net/video/f0oIHzpvv1Y/видео.html
    ruclips.net/video/XbKopENbPzk/видео.html
Unfortunately, these vocal coaches very sparingly create reactions to Angelina’s videos, so I rarely get to enjoy learning from them details about her many, many vocal techniques.
After watching many of Angelina’s recordings, listening to a variety of vocal & performance coaches, and watching the limited number of interviews with Angelina; my impression of her is that she probably has 1) an idyllic memory for sound, allowing her to remember everything she ever heard and giving her a wealth of knowledge to access at any time; 2) an abnormally sensitive perfect pitch, allowing her to hear finest of details in other singer voices; 3) an innate internal metronome, allowing her to always know exactly were/when she is within the time signature; and 4) developed incredible dexterity of her entire vocal tract, allowing her to not only mimic the sounds of other vocalists but to also emit the emotions those performers were experiencing during the original performances, without actually experiencing the emotions herself.

I think because she has long brunette hair and styles for the period she loves, as did Amy, people quickly associate her to Amy. Not to say Amy hasn't had some influence, she has, but Angelina is way beyond just one artist's influence. If you were to point to one, it would be Billie Holliday. I'm sure she also influenced Amy which accounts for some similarities. Angelina is a musical sponge with the ability to make use of everything she hears from all artist. Amy is just a sliver of who Angelina is musically. Thats not an insult. To have any influence on who may be the greatest vocalist of our time, is hardly a negative. Here is a disadvantage many reactors have. Because they don't want to preview performances, they have only listened to a very small sample of Angelina and have not heard her many works. Most of which were impromptu un-rehearsed masterpieces that were better vocally than the original. Nor have they listened to all her originals both by her and for her. So, the reactors...reaction as to her influences and style is incomplete based on minimum exposure. That is true for all the best reactors with a musical background. Just one of the nuances of wanting an authentic first listen reaction.

Wow Jeffrey, well said, and "just a sliver" is so accurate. As you know, Angelina's depth and complexity can't be matched, and she is not easily digestible even in a few sittings. I believe that her musical influences, Holiday, Fitzgerald, whoever they may be, are natural, whereas the Amy comparisons were forced upon her until she relented. Organic vs processed, if you will.

@@RiseAcademyofMusic Let me suggest that you take Angelina 101. Listen to 4 or 5 songs straight through. No reaction. Just enjoy. I'm sure with some creativity, you can find a way to do a great video with the songs. She has so many but in an attempt to crash course I would consider, "Bang Bang" from her NGT compitition at 7 or 8 yrs old, "Song for A" written for her by Nico Cartosio for his album, "How Great Thou Art" the Yozhik v Tumane video, "Stay" by Rhianna and maybe "Wicked Games" by Chris Isaac where she sits down to her Keyboard at home and striped it down to perfection. Watch the Digitally enhanced version. I wouldn't say these are her best works or not. Just a decent, tiny cross section that will help. Still just a sliver. Maybe 2-3% of what she has out there. All of these, she was 13 or younger. She is more capable now at 16. By the way, I wouldn't take the time to write all this if I didn't think you were a good reactor with ability to do AJ justice. You are very good.

I've always liked your analyses, so I love the new format. In fact, I just subscribed on the strength of it. Great to have you back. If I could make a recommendation for a future Angelina Jordan reaction, she has a rehearsal video singing I Will Always Love You with a guitarist accompanying. There were a few flaws here and there, but I still bawled like a baby. I'd love to hear your opinion on why that happens. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/eml4tIAqWUY/видео.html

I just made a RUclips channel with her music and will keep adding great videos. To give the right vibe I made "Katty vs Mary Hopkin" (Lontano dagli occhi in Sanremo 1969) Seemingly impossible. But turned out incredible.
