It can be called non-alcoholic beer. Beer is an alcoholic malt drink and Barbican is non-alcoholic malt drink. There are other similar options like barley water drink etc.
Barbican is a non-alcoholic malt drink - which is also called non-alcoholic beer in western countries. As beer is an alcoholic malt drink. So technically he is right.
Some Malaysians are a bit stupid. Food places cannot get halal certification because they used the name beef bacon. Even if the beef is slaughtered and process properly so that it is halal. So they changed it beefacon or something and got the halal certification. So if you market it as halal beer instead of non-alcoholic beverage they probably wouldn't get halal certification. @@ozyMalkin
