well brings back some memories I was there in 93 . Sometimes I wish I could go on the runs again . But I am terminally ill . The runs , the Music and the scene was a way of life for all of us . Unless you was involved in it you would probably not understand . Keep the Faith
Remember doing the I,o,w in the 8ts Stockport crusaders sc use to turn up for the week , make camp near the beach huts just of the roundabout ,did security a few times at the main campsite , had a good chat with bad manners ,,,edwin starr. Happy memories
Wow!..What a great and a Professional video! I notice that Scooerers leave their helmets by their scooters as they wander around the show! You can't do THAT in what WAS South Africa!..lt'll immediately be stolen! GONE are the good old days when this place was know as..the Union of South Africa!😎🙄👊🤝
Absolutely love the scooter scene across the pond. Currently have a Vespa GTS 300. Sold three Harleys so I just ride my scooter now. Wish I had somewhere that I could go that had that many like minded people, but alas, the East Coast of America is very limited for scooter riders.
Very hard to answer George, someone told me 12000 (Which I think is way too much), a guy stood next to me whilst I was filming the rideout said 5000. That said, he had his scooter with him, but was not riding in the rideout so your guess is as good as mine!
No mods anywhere. 'Quadrophenia, a way of life'. I was there through all of it, nothing like the film. Some nice machines, as long as there are no rockers trying to kick it to bits.
I live in off the main drag down to Southampton docks and in the old days probably before the Duncan Smith benefits shake down 1000's of scooters would be heading South but in recent times hardly any and this year I think I saw zero.
Hey @MarkRichShootingthebreeze If you go to my RUclips homepage and click the arrow next to where it says 'Welcome to our channel' etc you'll be able to reveal my email address. Just drop me an email :)
I am just watching your video, what a great lot of beautiful little bikes. I can't help wondering what these groups of bikers would say if they were told, sorry, but you people can no longer ride your machines, global warming etc you know, it's for the good of the planet you know. I myself have 2 bikes which i ride nearly every day, sometimes even in winter if the roads are clean, my one bike is a piaggio bv 500 & the other is a 650 suzuki s-40 boulevard, i love them both equally, it would be like losing my really good friend if told i could never ride again. Screw the globalists, the earth is doing just fine. Bye now, love the variety of bikes, ric, an olde guy from ontario canada, let them just try.
Rideout is ALWAYS a spectacular event!😎🤝👍
Isn't it just - love having the island awash with scooterists 😁❤️

I'm glad you liked this video Paul. I was not old enough to do any of this in 1993, I expect it was different back then!

We have loads over here whether there is a rally on or not. Maybe you should pop over. The next rally is coming up soon - it will blow your mind!
Amazing!!! does anyone know roughly how many scooters here.
