In defence of the person checking you in and as someone who has worked in the tourism industry split payments are notoriously tricky so I'd give them a pass at asking for help from a supervisor. Good review though, I'm staying here next April, got a great £100 per night discount so I'm staying for around £1700 for 5 nights.
Fair point, I just think when your paying that bit more for a premium hotel you should get a premium service. Still a small mark on an otherwise brilliant hotel

I see the room was on the 17th floor. Perhaps I missed it, but was that a Chamber, or a Sky Chamber?
