I really hope they have a skill based system like in Wii Sports where you play a certain sport and after each playthrough your skill goes higher on the graph or lower depending on how well you did in the game so the more you play the sport the better your character is at it

i think some of the people you went up against were bots because the way they were playing, and some had characters that you cant customize with the randomizer

I play high school tennis and after watching the way the game scores points…It just made me cringe. Like where did first one to 7 even come from if we are going by match point to a set, you have to win 6 not 7, and not to mention love-15-30-40 system
FSR is one of the best things AMD has worked on for the consumer. Open source, tons of compatibility..... Technologies like FSR is what's really going to push the bar for mobile devices, it's used on the Steam Deck too to increase performance. I'm actually surprised Switch Sports uses it, there's literally no indication!
That was one of the things that threw me off about tennis. That alone wouldn't be too much of a problem, but with the emphasis on timing swings rather than direction, and the unresponsive swings leads this to feel off for me Having the double be a projection seems like a good explanation for having the characters perform the same action, and them not performing the same action seems weird.
I think I will get this digitally since I'm probably playing this a lot when it releases. It's also going to be 10 bucks cheaper and $3 less for gold points.
I have to say while not everyone is a big fan of the new avatars, I certainly am. I love the classic old mii but it´s refreshing to see something new. Luckily you can still play as your mii later on I think, not a 100% sure
You’re able to play as a mii in the full version I believe, but I think people are mostly frustrated that Nintendo is trying to phase out the Mii’s since Wii Sports was essentially the Og mii game
I honestly don’t get the hate on these new avatars. For all we know, these could be the new Mii’s. The Mii creation tool is hidden away in settings on switch, but maybe they’ll feature it once again with brand new art styles.
Let's hope that they don't become the new Miis. The Miis were what made playing Wii Sports appealing to so many people, myself included. Plus, what is a Wii Sports game without Miis, honestly? If we have to deal with these XBOX avatars until we show Nintendo that Miis are still appreciated, then so be it.

I may be an old head, but Idk if I can bring myself to spend 60 dollars on this when I still have wii sports resort, wii sports, and a working wii. I'm not a fan of the splatoon, glossy, anime style. I wanted a focus on miis, lore of the island, and simple, wii-esque graphics and UI. I'm not saying the game doesn't look fun and isn't made well, I just can't see myself spending 60 bucks on it when the only thing I'm lacking from its predecessors is online play :/

Did you play every match with another player or bots?

The start did have a ton of Comm. errors, but eventually things were pretty smooth

It’s still in the game but they were playing a single match game so it’s using the Tiebreaker scoring system so it’s not the wrong scoring system here
