Yeah i’ve never seen anything like that even in a Mod before. I wonder if it’s just a huge woodland mansion that’s retextured because of the repurposed structures mod? I’m not sure. I actually didn’t explore it anymore after the video so I still have no clue what’s in there🤔🤔

Yes, things have definitely come a long way since then! I remember running the local Minecraft server on my computer back in the day and it was pretty laggy. Luckily you can now create a free modded Minecraft server with Aternos that runs smoothly without any lag. Follow the tutorial and let me know how it goes. Happy modding!😀😀🔥

This one doesn’t really lag either unless you have like a ton of mods added
Yeah I've already set up a server with over 60 mods on it with Aternos and it runs pretty smoothly. Remember in this video I loaded the modpack with over 300 mods on it and it was running smoothly when I joined the server.
My friends got error 1 while trying to launch Minecraft

You can only create a server with the modpacks listed in aternos, but im sure you will be able to find one similar.

How do we upload our own mod pack to use? I downloaded a Modpack but I also added more mods into the pack. How do I use that new pack on Aternos lol
That’s the downside to Aternos, and why for my server hosting I switched to a paid plan on SparkedHosting. You can’t upload mods to Aternos, you can only use their premade modpacks, or if you select forge you can you use the mods that Aternos uploads and verifies on the “mods” section of aternos. First off, great video. I've watched dozens of 'how-to install + play modded MC' and yours has been the most thorough. However, you do not mention whether or not your friends need to install the same mod in order to play with you. This is my biggest confusion. And if so, how do they go about it as I'm sure their steps will be different from yours. Thanks again for the great tutorial.
Edit: I just went through your comment responses and found the answer. Hopefully I can get my friends to install the modpack correctly.

after using this for server hosting for 10 minutes with only 2 of us playing i want to say that it is very laggy and buggy as opposed to other server hosting software that costs 10-20$
The more RAM you use up on the server the laggier it becomes. Yes you’re right it gets slow but it’s free and works🤷🏻♂️

Great question! 😁To ensure that everyone can connect and play together on the server, it's important that everyone has the same mods downloaded and installed. The CurseForge launcher makes it easy to manage and install mods, so it's required that your friends also install it. That way, everyone will have the same mods and will be able to connect to the server without any issues.

Make sure the mod is for the correct version of minecraft. For example if you're playing on 1.20.1 and the mod is for 1.19.2 you need to update the mod to the version that works with 1.20.1

These Aternos servers are good for under 5 players.
