@@muziq99 the requirements for push ups are lower yes. they can shoot, fight and make tactical decisions just as well. ive never ever in my life seen a swat team do tactical push ups and sit ups while on mission. aww man the bank robbers got away because our damn swat team was 5 push ups short! if only they had been men!
Depends on 3 factors - ranks - years on the force - position/ job in the the dept. Right now first year you make around 40k a year in the past it was like 20k but they changed that now. However after 5 1/2 years they make around 80k but I heard some make 6 figures due to overtime their has been major shortages that some officer work the max hours every shift. I am not very knowledgable about this I know more about the FDNY but it similar. And the officers I know have told me that the job is extremely hard on you mentally and physically. Not matter how hard you try to be a good cop people treat like an A-hole for the badge. Some people don't realize how much the NYPD has changed probation (the first 2 years of an officers career) is the time you can be fired over anything. Thats why a lot of cops leave the force after a few years and why a lot cops transfer out.
0:19 as usual the cameraman always survives
That's because we never see the videos from the cameramen who die ;)
I wonder if they would have night vision goggles and high/low flashlights mounted on their helmets
T-00 Mr. X Yes they do! But ESU doesn’t use them much because the people KNOW they’re coming
@@thebluechurch6182 Night vision is for dark spaces. Not if the enemy knows your there.
My dad works with Elizabeth Rodriguez
If they have chicks then the selection and assessment must not be that bad
Probably same requirements. How does it feel knowing that some women are better than you though? 😄

Freaking awesome.
Are the officers wearing The RMV bulletproof vest in this video?
This is about NYPD ESU SWAT teams!
ESU in my opinion the best SWAT dept in america
I highly doubt it
