Creative way to draw the diameters of your speaker circles. Need to borrow that. Thanks for the video, this was an enjoyable watch and an inspiration. Thinking of building something similar with extra parts laying around for a garage sound system.
I made one similar to this but I’m having a problem with it turning off when the volume is turned up past a certain point. It is plugged straight from a 12volt ac/dc adapter into the radio. What can I do to keep this from happening
When the power shut off, does this boom box can save memory? (radio station channel, EQ setting). If yes, how do you make it? Thanks. Nice video by the way.
How did you hook up computer power supply to car receiver? Also how did you calculate amps wattage? I’m working on the same project. It would be cool to buy a large pc power supply and add an amp too but when I think of car audio it uses 4 awg cable.
I only used a pc power supply because it was I had laying around you can buy a 12 to 14 volt transformer with a high amp output and you would be better off
Hey ! What's the thickness of the wood you used ? What is the overall weight of your box ? I have the project to build one with my own design/stereo system. Would you also recommend to apply fiberglass and resin on certain parts of the structure to make it more durable ?
A amp isn't required in every car stereo. If its loud enough without a amp why add one? It would just be harder to power the boombox because your power supply or battery would now have to power a stereo and a amplifier.

Thank you I'm glad I could inspire someone

You need a higher amps usually about 12 volt 10 amp power supply is enough

It will save memory as long as it stays plugged in

3/4 inch and about 30 lbs and a good quality wood glue is all you really need
Did you have any problem with static while using an auxiliary input?
No issues whatsoever
hey mate thanks for the vid, just wondering how come you dont need an amplifier?
The stereo had enough watts to sound good but adding a amp would definitely make it more awsome 😀
@@jlistdiy thanks heaps mate, appreciate it
