    Thank you for this message, the reformation is greatly misunderstood. My husband is a devote Roman Catholic and need prayers for him to come to saving faith in Jesus Christ. Through reading the scriptures the Lord saved me out of it, now I am praying for my husband to come to biblical truth.

    Thank you for this very instructive video on the history of reformation, and the ever present necessity to reform back to the Bible, individually and as a body of Christ. May the Lord Jesus Christ, through His Words, preached and read, continue to work His saving grace in the life of His beloved people who are redeemed by Him. May God help us to reform and always reforming back to the Word of God, by the Lord’s grace and to God’s glory!

      @@vicosee4439 yes brother, stay in the Word.
      I was raised a Heathen & knew little about "church". When God saved me, I was @ home after a night out. In the morning, I began to read the Word. About 3-4 weeks later, some folks I knew invited me to church. It happened to be Pentecostal.
      Within a few months, I started Bible College. During those studies, I started to notice the difference between what I was being taught & what I was studying in the Word. 😮
      Over the years, God directed my path through His Word & prayer to move theologically from "Pentecostal" to what I refer to as "Bapti-Costal" to what I later found out was known as "Reformed Theology".
      It has been a very humbling journey. Accepting the Sovereignty of God & beginning to actually understand Grace has brought contentment, peace & joy!....also, it has helped in sharing the Gospel as well, because I no longer waste energy trying to convert goats to sheep & have accepted that it is just our responsibility to share the Gospel, not convince people it is true!...."Those that have ears, let them hear"!

    The Catholic Church wants the world to believe that Peter was the first Pope. But Rome crucified Peter upside down on the cross. It is not a wonder for me that they wanted to keep it all to themselves. And still do much evil thinking they can

    I think that all of history is historical precedent for faith. Having read Kant I consider that some of what Luther did was good and some was not good. It was good that he felt challenging the consensus was necessary. It is sad that his exegesis was poor. Perhaps he aided the rise of Post-Kantian ideology particularly Hegel's Dialectical Methodology in Theological pursuit with men like Adolf Harnack and others of this period. The liberalism in Christian circle's I think starts with Luther.

    Anabaptist reformation still matter, the reform brethren didn't go far enough they are still catholic in many way. Bible Baptist are the true line in so called reformation.

  • @jdaze1
    @jdaze1 27 дней назад +1

    The reformation didn't go far enough. It kept the same core doctrines of the catholic church. The virgin birth, water baptism, the trinity, the physical body resurrection. All misinterpretation of the gospel story. We are saved because we REPENT for the FORGIVENESS OF SINS as John said not because someone physically died to pay our sin debt due on judgement day. Eternal death is the payment due not physical death. And FAITH means to believe that the Father will be faithful to his promises IF we live according to his requirements. That has not changed from the OT. Only the rituals of the law were abolished not the moral spiritual laws. We sin because we choose to sin. Period. No one forces us to sin. The carnal flesh must be crushed by our God nature. Choosing good over evil. If we continue to wilfully break the moral laws then there is no more forgiveness for sins. Period. This is made clear thruout the whole bible. Why people choose to believe what it says is mind boggling to me. No one was crucified to pay our sin debt. Hebrews 5:7, Psalm 18, 41, 91, Isaiah 53 says nothing about anyone physically dying to pay for anyones sin.

      @ It teaches that God made all mankind and predestined some of them for eternal life and some for eternal death. This is the Doctrine of Election. And regardless of how you couch it, it’s a blasphemy against his name. If a human did that with his children we’d call it pure evil.
      But God certainly didn’t do that. This is the Gospel: God made all mankind. Man sinned. God judged that sin and the punishment is death. Jesus came and lived and died and God accepted his death as the propitiation for all sins for all time. God gave man the ability and responsibility to surrender to his mercy, repent and have faith. To those who do, God will grant eternal life. God doesn’t predestined some to heaven and some to hell.
