I opened the *cough May ArtSnacks+ box and I figured I'm way too late posting this to wait until Saturday. Everyone needs a bright sunny day with huge fluffy clouds and if that isn't the weather you see out your window at least you'll see it here. And also I paint a less perky cloud scene but that wasn't entirely part of the plan. lol
Clouds are suppose to be one of the easiest things to paint...if that is the case...I've got some work to do.

Also a little trick, you can de-tack you paper by taping it to the table a couple of times and lifting it, prior to taping down you paper. This will reduce the tackiness, but still be effective and less likely to tear your paper ;)

"Dust-free" on erasers means the bits that come off when you use it clump together for easier cleaning rather than making a mess of tiny bits

I can only recommend that you do a lot of it, painting and drawing. Some results might be better than others, embrace all your babies and learn to enjoy the process instead of fearing the result.
I love how she doesn't get discouraged and is so enthusiastic and carefree while still doing her very best and putting in so much effort. It's so fun to watch her work because she is such a talented artist and at the same time her personality makes her videos so entertaining too. Best of both worlds.❤️

I realized about halfway through that you’re clouds without a reference could also be icebergs in the Arctic and like where the shadows are is like parts that are underwater.

“Plakkaatverf” is Dutch for gouache, you pronounce it PL[I-sound, but without the i if you would write this as [AAI] and short]K[the same sound but longer]TV[the a from back, short]RF. Don’t know if that makes sense haha

I think the best first set is the pastel brushmarkers. but take a look at the swatches and decide which ones you'd get the most use out of.
