Any change to make a rifle more ergonomic is a plus positive but not all people are built the same. For actual up grades I would recommend replacing all springs, detents . Most budget built rifles use inferior springs and detents. I recommend Sprinco springs, Colt or Geissele.. As far as nitride bolt carrier groups I'll give a pass. Many nitride BCG's use the same dimensions as phosphate and chrome which leaves the interior dimensions out of spec and gas inefficient.. Nickel boron plating is a poor coating that will fail with use.. Nothing wrong with phosphate - chrome BCGs. No matter which coating you use you don't want any coating on the extractor other than mil phosphate as the slick coating defeats the purpose of the extractor in the first place. For most self defense uses a quality dot sight such as the T-2 is the best option IMO..Always make sure the barrel is head spaced correctly like using the 5.56 go gauge of 1.4646, not the 223 commercial 1.4636.. Getting the the barrel checked for the correct throat and chamber checked with a function gauge is also a top end requirement for any barrel no matter the cost of the barrel...
