    At 73 and living in a close knit English village, Bugging In is a no brainer.
    Our church provides a steadfast group of people to share any disaster.

I already have 2 forty ft. shipping containers, 2 sheds, 1-shed made into a tinny home and a shed garage that I am turning into my kitchen, bathroom. shower, toilet and 4- 270 gal rain water tubs for my water. In the history of Lot and Abraham, most of us miss a good chunk of the point.
    Why did they need to go different ways? To increase their wealth. I say the right decision at the end of the day was to stay together and deal with the issue of not having enough resources by down sizing their herds. They broke up their family so they could have more cattle. I say have a few more big bbqs to keep the herd size down and keep the family together. Good people and a good God are always your greatest resource.

      God knew Lot's heart. I believe the Holy Spirit was sent to Abraham to humble him and let him offer which land to take. Lot, instead of offering the better land to his uncle, took it for himself. We see where that got Lot later in life and ultimately he almost lost himself and his family as he did his wife.

See if I can just camp out while I work for someone. Should be fair game. God's will in my life is something I wonder about a lot. Should I leave the city just because it sucks to be here? 16:48 + … 😳… respectfully, I’m a little confused on what you’re saying here…can you elaborate?
    Having faith demands action on our behalf. (Faith without works is dead)
    The Bible is replete of what we are to do, …our Creator wants us to fight and protect the innocent and squash evil, to be Lions not lambs for slaughter.
    …Luke 22:36, in which Jesus himself says, “Let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one.”
    Are you going to fight off the evil ahead, or , suggesting to just let evil doer’s do whatever they want to you and yours?
    I hope not, I’d much prefer to see you and family staying alive over the dirtbags in this world.

    • @CountryLivingExperience
      @CountryLivingExperience  5 месяцев назад +2

      Sure. If we are to be Christlike, how did Christ handle situations he was put in? Did he turn the other cheek, did he tell Peter to put away the sword, etc? WWJD? He stepped in when the Pharisees were going to stone the woman for adultery but He handled it not with violence.
      That said, the Bible is also replete with stories of offense and defense in the old testament. So this is a challenging topic for me honestly. In the certain end times, when we are changing our characters to look more Christlike, there will be those who come for us. Should we rely on God for His protection and have faith that He will step in? Did he send the Angels to Lot to lead him and his family out of Sodom with and angry mob at their doorstep? Lots to think about.

      @MrTrekFanDan 5 месяцев назад

      I respect your struggle brother... we must put forth the effort, because God expects our action.
      I Highly recommend watching the Documentary film: "Innocents Betrayed: The History of Gun Control" (on RUclips, and pass it on to others), it is Eye-opening of what happens when good people wait.
      ...as for me, after digging deep into the Bible and Earth history, it is clear that evil MUST be quickly vanquished, or evil swallows the world. "Nip it in the Bud", weeds must be removed early and quick, or the entire garden will be swallowed and destroyed completely.
      Hitler almost took over the world, because America waited too long, and millions of innocents died, ...America finally intervened, and won, because we American's were on God's side. If we hadn't, we would be speaking German in a dystopia right now.

    Good and informative information for when to leave and when to stay put.
    But Revelation 12 is not about the Church. The woman is Israel, who gives birth to Jesus. Satan is the dragon who tried to destroy Jesus after He was when he couldn't do that, he went after Israel to destroy her, as he is to this day. The remnant that you spoke of is the nation of Israel, not the Church.
    Revelation shows us, as when speaking to John, the first three chapters are devoted to the Church - some good things, but mostly issues that needed to be addressed. At the end of chapter 4 verse 22, it says, "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
    Then Revelation 4:1, it says, "After these things..." after what? After Jesus deals with the churches he turns John's attention to heaven and shows him being brought up to heaven with the sound of a trumpet, representing the rapture of the Church. Chapters 4-18, the Church is never once mentioned. God's main attention is now focused on Israel and bringing her back to Him. Halfway through the Tribulation period, the Antichrist will offer up a sacrifice in the 3rd Jewish temple called the Abomination which causes desolation and destroys 2/3 of the Jewish population while 1/3 will flee to Petra in Jordan where God will hide them and take care of them there. (Read Daniel 9:27 & Matthew 24:15-22).
    This is not the Church. We don't live in Jerusalem or Judea, we don't recognize the Sabbath as a day of rest, we don't offer sacrifices in a temple and we don't live on our rooftops like those in Israel do.
    Also understand, if you want to talk about the saints mentioned in Revelation, then we have to make clear there are three sets of saints. OT saints, NT saints and Tribulation saints. The Tribulation saints will, for the most part, be handed over to Satan as shown in Rev 6:9-11, 7:9, 13-17 and are those martyred for coming to Christ during this period. These are not the NT saints/the Bride of Christ.
    For better understanding, there is a documovie that explains the wedding practice of the Galileans that were unique to them alone in which the groom and his family meet in the town's center for the proposal. He will bring a cup with him with wine in it. He will drink of the cup and then he offers her the cup. If she accepts it, she drinks of the cup and gives it back to him. Then he says he will not drink of it again until he drinks it with her in his father's house. He then leaves to build a home for her on his father's house and she returns home with her bridesmaids and works on her dress and things she will need for the wedding day. When she is finished, she will then wait and watch for him to return with her bridesmaids, dressed in her wedding dress. Once he is finished building their new home, he then waits for his father to tell him when to go and get her. And when the father is satisfied, he tells his son to go get his bride. He and his groomsmen then go to her in the middle of the night, generally in their custom, and he brings a bier where she then gets on it and she is lifted up into the air and taken to the father's house for the wedding, which lasts seven days. At the end of the seven days is the wedding feast.
    Check out the documovie on this particular wedding practice called, Before the Wrath. You can watch it on Amazon Prime.

    I personally struggle with preparedness in terms of having and using firearms. I grew up with guns in our home and we were all taught to use them safely, primarily for hunting (11 children) Now that I'm older have children of my own I don't own or keep guns. Im currently getting out of debt and will buy a small homestead by Christmas 2025 and I vasalate between having guns for protection or not having them at all and relying on God to protect me and my homestead. The taking of a life to me, whether under attack or not, is so serious that regardless of the reason I'm not sure I could do it as there isn't another human not valuable to God. I know it sounds naive to think this way, but if God found me worthy of saving, why not other sinners, even ones that would harm me and my family. Always conflicted by this. Thanks for sharing and I love the faith based content 🙏

    Floods in my area are a toss up. We usually have quite a bit of warning. We have time to dyke our homes and get supplies. People that are forced to leave their homes can’t fuel their pumps, and then they end up flooding, when the home could have been otherwise saved.

    I think an extremely important skill set to learn is what wild foods are available to us in our areas and any area we visit, even if it's just a pleasure trip. if we get robbed of our food and water it's not worth our lives, and being prepared to hunt and gather is so important for even our youngest family members

    Overall good content, but you got the first point about when to bug out regarding weather/environmental hazards wrong because you conflated the threat of hurricanes with that of tornadoes. Hurricanes and tornadoes are NOT in the same category. Hurricane = bug out EARLY!!, but tornadoes are not as predictable and come with far less advanced warning. Assuming you're at home or in a relatively solid structure of any kind, Tornado = STAY PUT!!

    You are FAR better off Bugging IN, because you know the area and how to setup countermeasures, or relocate to “safer” areas.
    Depending on area and timeframe, and if you’re in a city, or near the outskirts, or a disaster situation, Bugging Out is VERY foolish, and most will end up robbed, raped and or killed.

    Bug out is definitely more for the urban / suburban population set. That's me, until next year, when I'll be retired and moved to a more rural location one or two states over and out of Western Washington. I'm looking forward to getting a lot more garden space vs what we have currently, plus some small livestock. Until then, I keep bug out from my suburban location as an option, although staying put is my preferred option. We're backpackers - so for me and Mrs Token, it's not a big deal to sling the packs and head out for a week - backpacking, practice foot born bugout, no difference. That said, vehicle born bugout is preferred, if possible, vs foot. We have hybrid SUVs and could easily go 700-1000 miles with a couple 5 gallon jerry cans included in the load (which, of course, we keep around the home). We also mountain bike / bike pack and that would also be preferred vs pure foot borne simply for the ability to cover more miles a day toward a safe area. Bikes are overlooked as a means of transportation in a hard grid down / massive supply disruption scenario.
    In a power outage / grid down / Cascadia Subduction Zone 9.0 quake, as I like to say, it becomes camping in a hard sided tent by staying put / bugging in. Even if water supply was cutoff, we have a creek about 1/3 mile away, so unlike a family member who lives in the Phoenix area, there's no need for us to stockpile significant water supplies. Multiple propane tanks for the grill will power the 2 burner propane stove. The solar & gas generators will keep the fridge going long enough to eat through the perishables. The solar gen also powers the 12v cooler / portable fridge for car camping. Charcoal and firewood will let us bake bread in the camp Dutch oven (also fun to do this while car camping - car camping being a fun recreation activity that simulates vehicle born bug out). We also have a backpacking stove that runs not only on white gas, but on unleaded gasoline, so those multiple 5 gallon gas cans will go a long way. Seeing a pattern on how things fit together and are good for multiple uses, and how relatively inexpensive hobbies (backpacking, car camping, bike packing) share similar equipment and skill sets with bug in / out?
