@michaelcape7753 I somehow missed this comment, so sorry for the delayed response. I mention a similar point in the video, so I question if you watched the full video, but one is white mewtwo and another is zoroark and reshiram mashed together.
@@carbonated_gaming Some of these designs in the trailer aren't actually in palworld anymore. Assumingly cause they were a little to close to pokemon characters. Some that people say are ripoffs are a bit of a reach. I guess no other game can have a deer, a wolf or a squirrel cause pokemon did it... 🤦♂ Also some of these designs as well as pokemon and dragon quest designs are inspired from things ingrained in Japanese culture. Since all 3 devs are from the same country it makes sense that some designs would be similar to things in Japanese culture.
Not only were some designs in pokemon inspired by dragon quest. Pokemons trading happened literally because of a super rare item in dragon quest 2. (a Magic Hat) In a interview Satoshi Tajiri said, when it came time to choose a console for Pokemon Red & Blue, he remembered wanting to trade with friends for the magic hat, and he chose the Game Boy because of its Link Cable, which would allow players to trade Pokemon.

That’s what I’ve been thinking, but I don’t really care for the two being mashed together. Doesn’t mean Palworld is bad. I played it, it’s not for me. And I can’t defend the models, which really sucks since it actually is a good game.
I can't stand videos with giant persistent on-screen captions where each line appears with that goofy 'Pop!' motion. Why is this even a trend? Do content creators these days love accessability but hate using YT's *actual* closed captions?
RUclips’s closed captions are very inconsistent sometimes, especially with how fast I talk sometimes. Sometimes the closed captions will even “mash” my words together. And the big thing with captions/subtitles is a big stat thing, adding some motion and to add the hearing impaired. The last one is the big one for me since RUclips captions can be inconsistent
I actually think most of these designs are better looking than pokemon. How is it a rip off when its pokemon mixed with farm life, mixed with rust? How completely wierd.
This game is super Pokémon inspired if you’re being generous. Some of the designs are pretty good, but most seem to be mashes of Pokémon or just super similar. And just because the game has elements from other titles, this doesn’t mean it isn’t a ripoff of at least one title. I point out several instances of Pokémon similarities, and they aren’t just kinda close in similarity. The game could still be fun though and I’m going to stream it when it drops so it has a chance to surprise me and prove me wrong.

Since Pokémon sword and shield didn’t have Pokémon gun as a third version, Palworld had to step up

You didn’t understand what I said and I don’t think you even watched the full video. There are pals that are super similar if not blatant rip offs of one or several Pokémon. One is literally zoroark and reshiram put together, even using zoroarks eyes. Just a game is creature collecting, doesn’t mean it’s a Pokémon rip off, but this doesn’t seem like one of those games.

There’s nothing wrong with not liking Pokémon. Like what you like. I just can’t support the theft of artistic design from anyone. Pocketpair also seemed to have stolen from fan designs as well.
