The fact that the team as a whole is not better when Jamal is playing better is concerning. Also, he has to take into account that as he gets older, it's going to be tougher with his mentality of playing into shape because your body doesn't respond as well as when you're young.
Plus they are playing with far more pace than they did last season, so this could be an adjustment period for Jamal Murray because i think he prefers a slower pace of play.
Stupidity at the age of 28 next season, the human body is stronger and significantly more stable. It starts to decrease from 35+, although even then athletes in particular have greater endurance. Laziness as well as bad habits and lack of sleep cause the body to be out of place. It is normal that, at least here in Serbia, everyone has a sport as a hobby or plays in one of the lower leagues, therefore they know what the summer and winter preparations mean, where the fitness returns to normal.
@JovicaMilutinovic Could be , I don't know enough about that. I just know that when you play hard from game 1 and youre out of shape you are more prone to injuries and once you already suffered a few serious ones, as Jamal did, he is even more susceptible to a recurring injury, those things get harder with age, recovery time could be longer as well. There is a reason the best players who also lasted longer were the most hard-working and in the best shape. MJ, Bryant, Lebron (+ his special Miami juice😉), Jukic too is well conditioned from the get-go.
I think defense.....they are really struggling on defense. They have to have more heart and toughness on the defensive end. We see it in spurts but consistency is the key. It was wild to start The Cavs and Pistons games, those teams shot like 70-80% to start those games! I mean every Nuggets basket was met with an opponent basket or they were called for a foul (with The Cavs it always seemed to be a 3) I'm not sure how Coach Malone is going to get this defense in order?
Murray's sense of entitlement is crazy. He's making much more money than he deserves to play basketball. Let him try easing in in a real job, and let's see how that goes. If he just want to try in the playoffs, pay him accordingly. 25% of his salary sounds good. Grow up and show up Murray.
@@MileHighSports I've been a Nuggets fan way longer than you, going back to the first day they rolled out the red, white, and blue ball at McNichols Arena. And in all that time, their most consequential run of great games against great teams, in the playoffs and in the regular season, has come with Jamal Murray playing a huge role. That is an indisputable fact, not a personal opinion. A lot of great players have worn the Nuggets uniform, and none of them not named Jokic or Alex English has been any better in clutch situations than Jamal Murray. Is he an entertaining interview? Why, no, he's not. We agree on that. I also admire MPJ the player and could care less about his statements about life. I understand your need to crank out regular content, same as people doing similar jobs to yours. And I'm not accusing you of not calling it like it is with Murray, you praise his good play as you criticize what appears to be lackadaisical play -- though neither of us really know exactly what his body is going through which leads to what's perceived as lackadaisical play. But the more the Denver online media rags on this guy, the more chances it leads to his exit, which perhaps you haven't considered leads to a whole lot less people following you when the team falls off a cliff after he departs.

For someone who has dribbled the ball so much some humility could go a long way.

Jamal Murray is not the same player that led the Nuggets to the western conference finals in Orlando and got beat by the Lakers

When Murray is back to normal when he play real good game and then the next game bad and the next is good game lol
I wonder how you would feel if someone spent five hours a week or more podcasting and pontificating about your psyche Ryan.
I would use $100 bills to wipe my tearful eyes…
Murray doesn’t think or care about us at all. We do not matter to him. And that’s fine.
