16:00 I am always All In when I learn there's a new Robert Eggers film in the works and/or being released. I saw 𝘕𝘰𝘴𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘶 its first showing Christmas Day. It was awesome, but I couldn't quite give it five stars. While I wasn't expecting (nor did I want), a shot-for-shot remake, I _had_ hoped a few of the more iconic shots (most of which you even show), from the original might get a nod. At first I thought crediting Bram Stoker's _Dracula_ in the opening titles might be a winking jab at Stoker's estate suing Murnau, and his being ordered all copies of the original _Nosferatu_ destroyed by order of the court. I was extremely disappointed in Count Orlock's design here. Clearly he was designed to be Bram Stoker's _Dracula._ It hit me as I was thinking, "Why does he have a thick mustac- _oh..._ it's actually Dracula, not Count Orlock..." 🤦 Beyond those disappointing aspects, Eggers delivered a visual feast in spades, even weaving in how women were treated as second class in that era.
The closest to a "positive" review of _Kraven._ I'd initially wanted to see it (I only knew if the character via Werewolf By Night comics), but to many RUclips reviewers I like bashed it into the dirt; now I'm curious again...
