This is genuinely one of the most helpful & straight forward how-to plumbing videos I've ever seen. I do most of my own DIY, but I'm no expert in any of the areas & always check how it should be done. Keep up the good work!
Excellently filmed and explained. Thanks. You're the first one who explained/showed what the white triangular thing was for. One 'installer' shrugged his shoulders and threw it away!
Thanks so much for simplifying everything so well, I have successfully just fitted my first tap, really pleased with how easily it went, your video really helped.
Thanks so much for this video, made the process so simple to follow, i had the old one out and the new one in in under 30 mins. brilliantly clear explanations matey, had to like and subscribe for all my future DIY Jobs
Great video - i have the flexi pipes supplied but looks like its fixed pipes leading straight to the base of the tap. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Top vid thanks for sharing 🙏 on the instructions for these it mentions AUK3 and fluid category 5 backflow protection is required… 🤷♂️ am I safe to simply replace my kitchen tap?
I have this exact tap, but I'm getting really poor flow. I think its because I replaced the washer inside the pull out hose retaining nut (the one the hose presses against) with the wrong size. Do you know what size washer it should be?
Not that I have seen that many flexies but none were ever colour coded. Maybe the difference is in the construction of the hose, high temp or something. But as long as your tap isn't mixed, cold right, hot left...
@@samsonacc8081 The only problem will be with the red hot and blue cold markers on your tap as I put mine on the wrong way round. Luckily the markers were removable so switched them over with cold right and hot left!
Not to impugn your work as the instructions are very good. But you were only showing one connection being connected? but didn't show whether it was the hot or cold pipe? There are two connections, one hot and one cold. So that should be marked on the tap on/off lever. (red hot / blue cold). So what I would do is connect all the pipes as you said, but then I would turn the tap to hot and turn it on, and then I would blow through each pipe, one will be blocked and the other will let the air through. So the one that lets the air through is the hot pipe and you would connect that one to the hot inlet pipe and then the other to the cold inlet pipe. I'm not a plumber by the way. 10/10 for your video.
Probably a stupid question but is it left to open the main water tap or right, cos mine doesn't seem to get tight either way, I fear the tap falling off n water gushing out
I think I can do this, but I don't have the tap spanners and not sure if I might as well ask my plumber to do it when he comes to fix my radiator. Hmmmm.
This is a million times better than the rubbish instructions that came with my tap! Thanks!!

Now you showed what I wanted to see on the hoses because I didn't get directions with my faucet thanks

Great to hear! 😊
Excellent simple way to demonstrate! I’m an amateur and did it!
Ye solid explanation mate. Makes life a lot easier for those among us who didn't have dads!
Just fitted my tap, same model as this. This video really helped with the install, especially the tip connecting the black hose towards the end.
That’s great to hear, glad you found it helpful 😊
Is your pressure bad?
Bro i don’t think you missed a single stage ! 💪🏻💪🏻
😊👏🏼
He missed the hole size to be drilled into the bench, that's the whole reason I came to this video
Really helpful, thanks!
Nice one Dave 😊👊🏼
Nice work lads...... straight forward job

Excellent video. Well done. Easy to follow.
Much appreciated!
Awesome video 🤩

Hi Is there a video to replace the washers on the 3 gang mixer tap in this video
Fantastic explanation bought one today was at a stand still till I discovered your video now can do it with my eyes closed 😂
Glad it helped 👍🏻
Great video - i have the flexi pipes supplied but looks like its fixed pipes leading straight to the base of the tap. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Love this chaps, thanks for the shoutout!
Our pleasure! 😁
great video mate explained perfectly lost it 😆when you turned the walter back on 🤣🤣
Great tutorial, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it! 😁
Definitely this one
thank you for making this video its very helpful 👍
Nice vid dude, if the new faucet does not have a pull out sprayer - as the old one does. Can the pull out just be removed, to install the new tap?
Yes as it’s part of the tape itself 😊
Top vid thanks for sharing 🙏 on the instructions for these it mentions AUK3 and fluid category 5 backflow protection is required… 🤷♂️ am I safe to simply replace my kitchen tap?
You are correct! For this installation to be wras compliant a double check valve must be installed to protect against contamination.
I have this exact tap, but I'm getting really poor flow. I think its because I replaced the washer inside the pull out hose retaining nut (the one the hose presses against) with the wrong size. Do you know what size washer it should be?
Do the clamp fit all taps or you need to buy the tap with this type of fitting?
Great video! But what about if i dont need connectors? I saw that under my sink i have copper pipes going straight to the tap :/
Remove back to isolators and install flex 😊
gorgeous men that can do anything in a home...YESSSS!😋😋
You'd be surprised the amount of partners that take it for granted.
Quick question does it matter if the flexi get mixed up red with blue? Red fitted to cold tap and blue fitted to warm tap? Thanks
I always thought the colours on anything had to match unless stated otherwise? Correct me if I’m wrong

@fabianmckenna8197 yeah that's good when you can switch them

just an observation - shouldn't the rubber washer thing go between the sink and the plastic spacer? it serves no purpose where you have it.
Probably a stupid question but is it left to open the main water tap or right, cos mine doesn't seem to get tight either way, I fear the tap falling off n water gushing out
Why can’t you do the black hose whilst it’s out?
That tap would require a double check valve on the cold distribution pipe in order to be compliant with water regulations
I think I can do this, but I don't have the tap spanners and not sure if I might as well ask my plumber to do it when he comes to fix my radiator. Hmmmm.
Mines "hardwired" I think. Copper pipes both side of the valve. No Flexi
Hi, I recommend cutting the pipes adding isolations valves then install taps with flexi
@@homeimprovements cheers. I've got the isolation valves but for some reason they then carried on with copper instead of flexi after the valve
@reesycer that is perfectly normal, all your taps are gonna come with flexis anyway
we all pull our sinks out to fit taps
Not half a turn just quarter of a turn to turn water off
Why's your hat on backwards, and why do you need it on inside?
What a dumb question
Cause he rolls his way
Is he single?
Bloody hell bro is their anything you can’t do 🥷
Thanks
