IMPORTANT --Re visits when you intend to extend for more than 30 days.... I was planning to use the online renewal of my Ph vacation visa online when I got there to add an additional month (fyi it's actually called a one month "Visa Waiver' and is quite easy to apply for once you are in Ph). Bottom line is that I had a China Air ticket from NYC to Manila returning in 60 days but they would NOT LET ME ON THE PLANE in NYC to start my trip! The China Air desk in NYC needed evidence of a (throw away) ticket leaving PH within 29 days and claimed they would get fined if they allowed me on the plane. MOST VLOGGERS MAKE LITTLE MENTION OF THIS. After panicking, I was able to buy an $80 one way ticket to Singapore from Manila using my smartphone within the 30 day window. I was then able to show the China Air desk in NYC the receipt for the flight, just before the doors closed to my flight to Manila. Much stress so be prepared.
I will be applying for 13a, I was hoping to see some info in this video. Thank you for your comment that give me clarification and peace of mind that I can visit JRC for help, 13a seems complicated and daunting
Good video Rod. I was NOT able to get an ECC online through the Immigration Portal. I did however get an ECC at the airport. The airport Immigration didn't want to give me an ECC and refused me 4 times until I explained their own rules to them. I didn't qualify for an ECC A as a tourist but I was qualified for an ECC B as someone leaving temporarily and returning. I had a tourist visa in good standing and I provided the receipt, I had a non refundable round trip ticket. On the portal site it doesn't say your visa in good standing Can't be a tourist visa. Someone else's mileage may vary. If I were the type to just take no for an answer I wouldn't have gotten the ECC B, if you are in the right you have to respectfully persist.
@@FilipinaAndTheForeigner I actually started to write something, then I re-read what I wrote. If the difference between and what qualifies you for each one is all you need, you should get that information off the Immigration Web Portal.
Hi good afternoon, I will be in the Philippines on the 8th of October and would like to have a sit and chat about how you can help my wife with our Petition for spouse visa, I would love to visit your office on Monday the 9th of October because I'm leaving for Leyte on the 10th of October 2023
What I find amazing is you have have pay to leave phlippines I think that's only country where u have pay to leave and go through so much things I can see coming there but leaving an caurious why us that ask Jr That question plz
Hey Rod, can we get the address to his office by the Ayala mall? And what about foreigners with dual citizenship? What is the process of getting their visas?
Does Jr work with the PRA . I'm looking at the SRRV visa as that will fit my needs. The agents that work with the PRA are paid by the PRA from the application fee collected by them. I'm not interested in paying double as that would not be the right thing to do.
Maaayung buntag and kumusta sir? I know you have rented many condos long term so question for you? When you rent your condos long term, do you sign a contract with the realtor(if the owner of the condo is out of the country) and how do you typically make your rent payment? Do you pay via bank draft or in person, or another way? Salamat. Ingat.
Does anyone know why I always pay the "express fee" when I extend my visa even though I apply for a visa 2-3 weeks before the visa expires? It has happened in the last 10 years. I spend 3 months in the Philippines every year
I know of one expat on Negros who asked that question. BI informed him that if he didn't want to pay the express lane fee that he could renew his visa without express lane fee...In Manila. The official explanation at the time was the express lane fees paid for the use of computers.
When now former President Duterte was first elected, he often took normal civilian flights from Manila to Davao to spend weekends at home and interacted with his fellow passengers. Upon hearing of these "Express Lane Fees" being charged to foreigners that were processed through the normal lanes, he called in the Commissioner of BI and asked where exactly these "Express Lanes" were and why people processed through the normal lanes were being charged these fees. Upon not receiving a satisfactory answer, he explained, in his own charming way, how the Commissioner's life expectancy, and that of others in the upper management of BI would be dramatically shortened if he ever heard about foreigners being charged such fees again, and the fees magically disappeared. I guess now that he is the former President, this scam, perpetrated with the blessings of people at the highest level of the Philippines government who should be mortified that it exists, has returned. There are no "Express Lanes" and every foreigner is charged this fee.
Rod, what do you use for your strong internet? Is that included in your condo dues? I have to go to the mall to get internet service for my laptop. Any advice?
If I have return ticket over 30 days from USA, can I get 30 days visa over thirty days at the airport on arrival, pay the fifty USD in php there? I am talking CEB Mactan airport
I hope they let you on the plane with a beyond 30 days onward ticket. Get pesos to pay the immigration fee before you go. The exchange rate may be bad but it's better than meeting an immigration stickler. I have heard of an Immigration officer walking a tourist through security to a money changer and back in again but I wouldn't count on it as it probably depends on how busy they are and if a BI officer wants to take a walk.
@@robertkubrick3738 thanks. I am bringing back Philippines pesos. I am going this next time under thirty days, due to the plane schedule (round trip). I am hoping on my follow on round trip to take 60 days, so that is why I am asking. Definitely going to ask some questions this next time. Thanks 👍😊

HI Rod ( just say hi helps his algorithm out )
Good day Rob.
Thank you both for sharing this video, it’s very helpful.
Hi Rod. Nice video !!
Immigration officers speak the language.
Keep your extensions in check to avoid fines and issues.
They even hand out SRRV flyers for those interested.

Rod thank you for all these information hoping you're feeling better now Btw how do you file your income tax in the Phils as a US citizen?
I use online tax software TAXACT and also process PH tax but make too little to be liable for any.
Get well soon

Hi Rod, how's the shoulder? I'm having trouble getting a straight answer on how much a renewal for a 13a ACR-I Card is.
Wait so I'm confused. Can you obtain a visa after arriving to the Philippines?
most countries get a visa on arrival for 30 days.
