As always, great information. Thank you, Jennifer. We arrived from in the Philippines (NAIA) yesterday 12/19/ 2022 after a stay in Japan. I did the etravel 3 days prior to our flight. We had ZERO problems going through immigration & customs. I believe the whole process only took about 20 minutes from the time we fell in line to the time we exited to greet family. LOL! It took us longer to leave the airport parking lot!!
All this is really good news. Its amazing that with a new administration comes new ideas and improvements. There's going to be a few bumps along the way but anything is better than how it was from the last two years. Am looking forward to my upcoming trip early next year. I'd love to thank you personally for all the help you have given me and everyone else but in case I never see you a big THANK YOU and have a happy holiday 😀👍
Thank you very much for that information. My Filipina wife, and myself are planning on going to the Philippines, from L.A.X. in April, to visit her (big) family in Oriental, Mindoro. And that information helps us out a lot. My wife listens to you a lot to get any updates. Thanks again.
My house is so far away from the nearest immigration office that it takes at least 2 days with hotel costs to renew my visa. So if I can do it online, wow, that is a great improvement.
The problem in the Philippines ang bagal ng prosesso ,when i apply for visa waiver in US via internet on their link ,its easy and faster ,well if they pushing the immigration things it’s help because we don’t need to travel to nearest Philippines embassy .😊anyway thanks for update Jen,its help a lot
Jenn would force everyone to get quadruple jabbed and be on a constant hot line to Pfizer asking what else they would like to see put into place to ensure that the Philippines remains closed to all but the "jabbed".
Online Visa Extensions will be the best thing ever 👍 Todays procedure is annoying - depending where you stay - longer travel, higher costs, long wait for renewal (let passport in BI) 🙈
Great to see these changes. What I would also like to see is Filipinos being able to leave their own country without being subjected to controlling immigration officers who don’t want anyone to travel/leave because of some illogical law. I don’t know any other democratic country which does this. It is perfectly legal to travel somewhere like Dubai or Singapore on a visit/tourist visa and to look for work on this same visa.
Creating expectations is easy. Past practices have not been inspiring nor encouraging. And as a foreigner, the new Sim law and its potential effects on my ability to manage my stay in the Philippines makes me reevaluate my decision to retire here. However, Jennifer, seeing people like you who challenge the status quo is encouraging. Thank you so much!
Hi Jennifer, just an observation so that your viewers don't get confused, the picture you posted as Bureau of Immigration Commissioner in your video wasn't Norman Tansingco, he is actually Jose Crispin Remulla who is our current Department of Justice Secretary. Excellent information and updates, always up to date.
Fantastic news. My nearest BI office is almost a three hour drive away. Be great to sit at my kitchen table and do my extension. Hopefully and just pay with Gcash.

I arrived last December 9 from Vancouver via PAL, but all foreign passport holders were still asked to fill up the paper copy of the arrival form. This seems to be very redundant on the end of the travellers considering all the immigration information plus your health declaration are already entered on our E-Arrival.
@ders888 only had to fill in the customs declaration form I arrived Dec 16th and scanned my etravel QR didn't even need to prove I had been fully vacinated they accepted what I put on etravel info

Foreigners can own condominium units but not land (or house & lot). The law is there so that foreigners (with dollats, euros, pounds, etc = greater purchasing power) cannot buy all/ most available land and outprice the locals. Similar rules exist in the rest of Asia.

Hello kababayans, i don't know if it's just me or there are other balikbayans who had problem with Japan airlines. I booked a 6 six weeks vacation on their website with no issue. However, when i reached Vancouver for my connecting flight i was called to approach the front desk 30 minutes before boarding time and was told by JAL staff that since i am now a Canadian citizen, i am only allowed to stay in the Philippines for 30 days and since my vacation was 6 weeks they will not allow me to board the plane unless i show my Philippine passport, birth certificate or any Philippine ID and since I didn't bring any of them at that time i was told that they will not allow me to board the plane unless they change the date of my return to 30 days or less. Left with no other option at the moment i agreed to change my return date. While inside the plane i found a scanned copy of my birth certificate, presented it to their staff in my lay over in Japan but it's no use, they insist i should have showed it in Vancouver coz they are different location. I told them it was a very short notice and didn't get a chance to find it since it's almost boarding time when they asked me for the documents. I begged to get back my original return flight but to no avail. I ended up buying a one-way return flight from another airline (that costs a lot) so that i can spend more time with my family. Very frustrating experience with this airline. A piece of advice to our kababayans AVOID JAPAN AIRLINES! Unacceptable and worst customer service! Save yourself from a stressful vacation.
Wow! Alot of Visa companies will have to find other ways to expand their business in the Phils due to this new online visa extension system for tourist visa's
Thank you Jennifer for this good update. Can you make also an episode about the diferent permanent visas for foreners? Regards from Jack out the Netherlands
If you're 50 or above, you can apply for a retirement visa (SRRV). See pra gov ph for details. If you have 75k usd to invest, you can apply for the investor visa (SIRV). If you're married to a Filipina, you can stay in PH on a spouse visa (13A) and be a permanent resident.

Thanks, Jennifer. We depart the U.S. on 9 Jan but etravel won't let me complete the form today (6 Jan). I must complete it tomorrow (7 Jan). Our arrival date at CRK (11 Jan) is blacked out so I guess the 72 hours is based on arrival date. ??
Umuwe ako nun October for 10 days only, linis ng airport, ganda na yun system may wifi pa, tas wala ng exit fee at travel tax pa. Tas wala na din masyadong hassle sa airport at Di na magulo. Hi Jennifer who is the man in the photos you've been showing in your presentation? I couldn't help but notice he is the Department of Justice secretary instead of the bureau of immigration commissioner.
Sa mga uuwi ngayong December and January. Be prepared for long lines when you arrive in pinas. Our flight was dec.9. Our flight from Hawaii to Philippines was delayed for 5hrs. Before landing in the Philippines the flight crew still hands out forms to fill out, that you already answered online for etravel. After getting off the plane, you get your qr codes ready. But the airport isn't organized at all. There's no clear sign or direction for passengers to see, where they should line up for there qr code to be scanned. You'll only see the signs for senior citizens/ pwd and regular persons line when you get to the person scanning the qr codes. So it's very confusing experience and frustrating as well. After that you proceed to immigration line. But again u organized there's no clear line up front where you can fall in line. Like if you have a family that carries both U.S and Philippine passport holder. Like your kids have foreign passport but you as a parent have Philippine passport. There's no sign that says you all must line up to the foreign passport holders. Not the Philippine passport holder line. 🙄 so it's confusing. We basically had to go all the way back to the line. Mind you we are not the only ones that arrive in pinas. Some arrived from Korea, China, Dubai. So the line was long. And it felt like we were in a game. Because we were going in circles. They didn't want us to be in a straight line. By the time we got to the immigration officer it was 45mins after we arrived from Hawaii. So if you guys can apply dual citizenship, do it! Because Philippine passport holders just had to scan they're passport at the machines . And they were done. ::::NOTE: THE PAPERS WE FILLED OUT IN THE PLANE BEFORE WE LANDED WERE NOT EVEN NEEDED. ALL YOU HAVE TO BE PREPARED FOR IS THE LONG QUEUES/LINES.
@laniesider no you don't need covd test since your fully vaccinated. You just need to complete E-travel online. At the end you'll get a qr code. Once you do, screen shot it. And she it. That's the most important thing you'll need beside your passport.
Someone just posted a video saying that tourists will need to show an onward plane ticket to leave the Philippines EVERY TIME they apply for a visa extension? Any information about that?
Very informative, Jennifer -- thank you and Maligayang Pasko! If you're in NYC, Joe's Home of Soup Dumplings in Midtown Manhattan, a short walk from the Rockefeller Center, has amazing soup dumplings!! Happy travels and God Bless! 🥰
Hi, Jennifer! Pwede po bang mag bigay ka ng example sa vlog mo how to fill out the etravel card for foreign passport holder. Like you did before for one health pass. Thank you!
Im a dual citizen. we are traveling to the philippines tomorrow actually. im glad i came across your site. I was wondering i have a US passport and Philippine passport. I know i have to complete etravel online which passport do i register US or PHIL passport? When i booked my air ticket i used my US Passport. Suggestions? THANK YOU in advance.
This is good news for me as a tourist but bad news for many small businesses that will now be redundant. I hope the Gov has something in place to help all these people.
Jen, E Travel is an app that can track you where you are. What are they doing with this information? No place to hide anymore. What if you don't have a phone? Can you still travel in PI?
When I departed from Japan last November the immigration check is electronic, only one immigration officer counter for those who cannot get through the electronic departure procedure.
@@anigerh.3154 I agree. This testing within 24 hours of my flight is stressful. I'm healthy and take vitamins. We don't need this scam test, the same as the inventor of the test said, is not designed to tell you that you're sick.

Will extended tourist visa holders be able to register a Sim Card for more than 30 days. Many of us tourists need the same phone number for our gcash and bank account.
Hello Ms. Jen I become naturalized in US. I am traveling with my foreign spouse and our children together with my mom that has a permanent resident card and we are about to stay in the Philippines for 36 days. I know you mentioned about one year balik bayan priviledged so meaning me and my husband with my children don’t need a visa??? Or extension?? Also my mom that is has a permanent residents card and still have Philippine passport she don’t need visa as well?? Your response is much appreciated Ms. Jenny
Your mom doesn't need a visa. As for you (former Filipino) - you won't need a visa if you can show your old PH passport or PSA birth certificate. You'll be given 1 year balikbayan privilege. For your spouse & children, bring marriage certificate or birth certificate to prove relationship to you.
Jennifer. I have many questions regarding the SIM registration. I am reading it is only good for 30 days for Foreigners. Then you can extend another 30 days. How about people who have had the same SIM for years and use it for GCASH Banking. GRAB. Why can't they just make it simple ??? Your Address in PI ID and Photo. They want Passport# Passport Pic ACR# and Card pic. Sure if you are just traveling once for 30 days tourisr to PI but most os us are frequent visitors and extenders Condo owners We can only register for 30 days then another 30 days.?? How about people in the US that have PI bank accounts and have a OTP sent to their PI SIM. They will then deactivate your SIM after 180 days?? There has to be a better format for Foreigners who spend more time in PI. Please get more facts. Thanks!

Was this approved by Myk's Philippines journey channel? Because he claims to be the only authority on Philippines culture. (Sarcasm)
Lol
Well I’m wondering where he gets his expertise from, considering he films so much from that blue-wallled studio…
@@ianjustin4389 he spends 2 months per year in the Philippines. Mostly in Angeles city hanging in bars. Talking to bar girls and hookers. But because his father is Filipino he thinks he is the only expert in Filipino culture. So him claims.
Happy new year Jennifer, see you more in 2023
Very good news I come February 6th and brought a dummy ticket
This will really help us thank you ms Jennifer 🙏
Wow, that is a good news, E-gate, we are not already left behind by other countries.
Hi Jennifer, just to great you & your family a Merry Christmas and A Prosperous New Year. God bless❤
Greet or great???.
Umuwe ako nun October for 10 days only, linis ng airport, ganda na yun system may wifi pa, tas wala ng exit fee at travel tax pa.
Tas wala na din masyadong hassle sa airport at Di na magulo. Friendly staffs pa from security to customs 🛃 I’m glad na unti unti umaayus ang system ng airport pinas ✊🙏🇵🇭🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Online visa extension sounds really great 👍
When it gonna start.?
Thank you so much Jen for updates
Is it going to start by February 2023? Have you recieved any updates about it?
Thanks Jen! As always you’ve been a great help for us all “Fil-Am.” 😍🙏
Thank you Jennifer Happy Christmas 🎄

Yes, kailangan may exit or return ticket cya which leaves on or before the end of his 9A visa.
By the way we have not been reimbursed for our damaged luggage we have next to zero results from claim department
Hi Jennifer who is the man in the photos you've been showing in your presentation? I couldn't help but notice he is the Department of Justice secretary instead of the bureau of immigration commissioner.
Bureau of Immigration is under the Dept of Justice.
@@kitty_s23456 thanks
Who leads the bureau of immigration anyways? I know it's not the Department of Justice secretary
@@kamaljamil1246 the BI commissioner now is Norman G. Tansingco. BI is an ofc under DOJ.
@@kitty_s23456 Thanks for clarifying
What all they need in philippines airport when it comes covid restrictions?
Do they still need Covid test if your fully vaccinated?
@laniesider no you don't need covd test since your fully vaccinated. You just need to complete E-travel online. At the end you'll get a qr code. Once you do, screen shot it. And she it. That's the most important thing you'll need beside your passport.
etravel.gov.ph
Someone just posted a video saying that tourists will need to show an onward plane ticket to leave the Philippines EVERY TIME they apply for a visa extension? Any information about that?
Thank you as always for all your time and effort. Merry Christmas
Very informative, Jennifer -- thank you and Maligayang Pasko! If you're in NYC, Joe's Home of Soup Dumplings in Midtown Manhattan, a short walk from the Rockefeller Center, has amazing soup dumplings!! Happy travels and God Bless! 🥰
Have a great Christmas and happy New year
Hi, Jennifer! Pwede po bang mag bigay ka ng example sa vlog mo how to fill out the etravel card for foreign passport holder. Like you did before for one health pass. Thank you!
Thank you ma'am Jennifer for the information. Take care🤗...God bless❤🙏
Bless us all in the Philippines.
To register in e-travel, use the passport that you bought your ticket with. Present both passports upon arrival in PH.
This is good news for me as a tourist but bad news for many small businesses that will now be redundant. I hope the Gov has something in place to help all these people.
Thank you miss jen for the update
Jen, E Travel is an app that can track you where you are. What are they doing with this information? No place to hide anymore. What if you don't have a phone? Can you still travel in PI?
When I departed from Japan last November the immigration check is electronic, only one immigration officer counter for those who cannot get through the electronic departure procedure.
Thats good to hear miss jen, thank you for the new update .
When will the negative testing be over ? please let us all know when this will happen ?
Thats true! They should eradicate testing ughh
@@anigerh.3154 I agree. This testing within 24 hours of my flight is stressful. I'm healthy and take vitamins. We don't need this scam test, the same as the inventor of the test said, is not designed to tell you that you're sick.
@@risentherdday I dont know if other countries still requires this scam testing for unvaccinated. It only creates false positives and the assymptomatic is soo funny but some still believes in it!
@@risentherdday Correct! It's all CV19 been a scam!
Who cares get vaccinated.
Will extended tourist visa holders be able to register a Sim Card for more than 30 days. Many of us tourists need the same phone number for our gcash and bank account.
Hi Jennifer, the website don’t have the 2023 calendar yet kaya useless na magregister dahil hindi ka maka go through.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ thanks for updating us maam jenefer...
Wouldn't it be great if corporations like banks and utilities joined the developed world?
Thank you so so much!!
Jennifer.
I have many questions regarding the SIM registration.
I am reading it is only good for 30 days for Foreigners.
Then you can extend another 30 days.
How about people who have had the same SIM for years and use it for GCASH
Banking.
GRAB.
Why can't they just make it simple ???
Your Address in PI
ID and Photo.
They want Passport#
Passport Pic
ACR# and Card pic.
Sure if you are just traveling once for 30 days tourisr to PI but most os us are frequent visitors and extenders
Condo owners
We can only register for 30 days then another 30 days.??
How about people in the US that have PI bank accounts and have a OTP sent to their PI SIM.
They will then deactivate your SIM after 180 days??
There has to be a better format for Foreigners who spend more time in PI.
Please get more facts.
Thanks!
great news& info. , i hope all transactions can be done online with the extentions & payments, thats what I´m accustomed to now here in western europe. One of the reasons why I dont visit the Philippines often the inconvenience. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the update Jennifer
This is an improvement I hope they just remove it completely . In Korea they just check your temperature and fill out health declaration.
Thank you for sharing information.
Ho sissy, we have a flight coming January 2023,what requirements sissy Philippines to USA,Singapore airlines po...I'm dual my son is US citizen...maraming salamat sa always update, God bless

Hi, kung Kuwait national ang asawa mo, pwede cya pumasok ng Pinas ng walang visa. He will be given 30 days visa on arrival. Kailangan may exit ticket cya which leaves in 30 days or less. Tsaka fill out nya yung e-travel & get/ save the QR code. Kung unvax cya, need ng test before his flight.
Wow! Online tourist visa extensions would be awesome!!!
Not true, I had fill the Arrival form last week , when I came back from Bali. I had to go back find a pen and fill one out, I would ask for one on the plane
True, I arrived over a week ago and still needed to fill the arrival card.
