When they said "the biggest entertainer" they were making reference to his hit "let me entertain you" also being his first song of the day. "Warney" is the nickname of Shane Warne, a famous sportsman (Cricket player) of Australia that died in March 2022 in Thailand. Also for scale refernce, the football field in AFL is huge compared to a NFL field, at about 170 yards long and 120 yards wide (varying from oval to oval). NFL fields are about 120 yards long and 50 yards wide Glad you loved the show as much as the live viewers did!
We Aussies all love your love of John Farnham and all of our songsters like Delta. The smile on your face hearing them brightens my day everytime I watch you. So much joy and we're so glad our style of music resonates with you!
Robbie brought Rock DJ out in 2000. His live concerts are a must for you to watch! Robbie was born to entertain. Worth watching him sing Angels and Feel live at Knebworth 👍🏻🤩🇺🇸🏴
Hearing the whole stadium sing "You're The Voice" gave me chills and a few tears. It's really something special and a message to John that we are all behind him. How much love does that man raise. And YES we need to do this when our heroes are alive.
John's wife sent his fan page a message to say that John was watching the tv when this happened. He was moved to tears with the performance and the love that came through....Great tribute from Robbie and the 100,000 crowd singing together for John. Delta looking and sounding amazing too
Robbie is an English superstar. He was a member of the boy band 'Take that' in the 90's. Has had a many hits over time as a single performer & composer. Has fantastic shows & after getting over alcoholism & drugs has become a wonderful family man & he is my namesake.
Awesome performance from Robbie Williams. He is a British singer and world famous. I was so pleased when he did the tributes to Shane Warne and John Farnham, and then brought Delta out to do Kylie’s (I think) part in the duet. Next weekend we have Jimmy Barnes (& Friends) in the NRL Grand Final in Sydney.
I love what you said about giving John his flowers while he's here!! You are so right. We often don't show appreciation to our favourite singers etc while they're here it's all the hearts and flowers after they have gone.
Thank you for your great channel. One thing you missed was actually hearing 100,000 footy fans singing You're the Voice and all of them knowing the words! Everyone sang their lungs out to show their love and appreciation of John Farnham. Usually at the Grand Final everyone is impatient for the game to start. This time however with the brilliant performance by Robbie Williams and the tribute to Warnie and showing the love to John made the whole event truly special.
Hearing the whole crowd ( over 100,000+) singing every line & lyric was amazing & the best part of the night (even if my team had won which they bloody didn't)
My partner of 27yrs passed away Oct 2019 and the first song played at his funeral was Let Me Entertain You. That was him in a nutshell. First time he heard that song he was hooked. May I add that I absolutely adore your channel, think you are an absolute sweetheart and when you ask questions, I automatically respond as if we were in the same room. Peace and love ❤
John Farnham was "deeply touched" by Robbie Williams' heartfelt tribute at the 2022 AFL Grand Final, his family says. The Australian legend - currently receiving treatment for mouth cancer - "thoroughly enjoyed" Williams' performance and "generous gesture" while he gleefully watched on from his hospital bed.
Watching your face go from enlightened to delighted and your enjoyment watching this was gold. The AFL is Australia’s biggest game and well worth watching some highlights. The first game of AFL was played in 1858, with many clubs now older than 150 years.
I was one of the 100,024 people at this match and Robbie was on fire!!!!! Robbie is British and Angels is definitely his song (please watch his version). And my team won!!! WOOHOO what a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That made me crack up laughing when he said that (I was lucky enough to be there) He's such a cheeky bugger. Love Robbie. It was such a nice tribute to John & Warnie
John’s family have released a statement to say that John watched the game from rehab and was deeply touched by Robbie Williams tribute to him. I think all Aussies were so touched and thrilled by this. 💕💕 It would be safe to say that almost every person in the stadium would know every word to Your The Voice.
Robbie Williams is a damn legend. Been filling stadiums since the 90’s as a member of Take That. He’s been in 🇦🇺 for months making a film about his life, with the producers of The Greatest Showman. I was one of the lucky few to get a ticket to Robbie’s show in Melbourne in May and had to rewind to the 90’s and pretend that we were back in the Take That days 😂😂😂 Robbie just announced a 25 years of hits tour - damn straight I’ll be doing both Melbourne shows, will be the 7th and 8th time I’ve seen him live! ❤️❤️❤️
Although his voice wasn't up to The Voice it was a highlight and appreciated by the locals as a tribute to Farnsey. It was also great that he did Angels for Warnie. You probably didn't notice but Farnsey's musical director Chong Lim was playing piano in the band.
Wow, I missed Robbie's AFL performance and was doing a catch up. Some how I ended up getting linked to this RUclips video. Yep happy to admit I'm technically challenged but how glad I did. This man has just made me smile so much & warmed my heart. Just goes to show there can be great unity across cultures through music & respect for celebration & art. So enjoyed watching this lovely, smiley man.
I am new here and LOVE your passion - and good taste and I LOVE our John Farnham...sending healing vibes. But MATE!! Aussie rules players are TOUGH and it is actually FOOTBALL. We don't 'suit up'!! This pre match is INCREDIBLE.Thank you for loving us!! Peace light love from That 'other' singer Melbourne Australia!!xo
Awsome performance, Robbie isn't my fav style of music but there is no question that this was a show and a half hahaha, he really knows how to get the crowd involved and having a good time. Great energy Edit: rip Shane Warne you fucking legend
Robbie is a jokester, so when he said "stop following me", he was kidding around. Singing Angels was his tribute to Shane Warne a top class cricketer (known in countries who know cricket)who passed away this year😥. Love the tribute to our John. John and his family put out a statement saying thank you, and how impressed they were with Robbie tributing John so wonderfully 😀 🥰. Sorry to anyone who has already said the above, and me sounding like a parrot 🦜😊. Brilliant pre match entertainment 👏👏👏
Warnie was a legend, his kids were in the section that was dedicated to him too if I heard right, great tribute to him, and his tribute to John Farnham was brilliant...
First met and saw Robbie when he was playing a promo gig in Mansfield (U.K) with Take That in 1992 to a crowd of maybe 100 people. Now he plays stadiums of 100,000. He’s a born entertainer, seen him live many times and he never disappoints. He knows how to work a crowd. Loved this pre-game performance and his tribute to Shane and John was a lovely touch.
Shane Warne is one of Australia's greatest cricket legends. He died unexpectedly early this year, aged around 50. Was well loved by the cricketing community around the world.
Robbie Williams is British he was in the British boy band Take That before he left in late 90’s for success solo career. There’s an handful of British artists like Australia artists that didn’t quite crack the American market Robbie Williams is one of those artists, even that lives in America . I heard that he likes it like that mostly everyone in the US doesn’t know who he is . UK , Europe and Australia he is massive . The song Kids what he sang on this stage with Delta Goodrem the original version he sung it with Kylie Minogue in year 2000 but obviously Kylie was unavailable out of country in Europe recording an new album . Kylie did a kick ass version of Kids with Bono from U2 . John Farnham watched from hospital bed had has praised Robbie Williams for thoughtful tribute .
Robbie Williams is an awesome entertainer. He can work massive crowds unlike some singers that only work well in clubs and small venues. His concert in Knebworth had 375,000. You should react to " Kids" (which you saw him do snipet of with delta) who he did track with Kylie Minogue. He also is a very good Jazz singer. Ps- yes he can dance if you see his shows from the 90s and music videos 😊
I was lucky enough to see Robbie Williams in Concert in Adelaide about 13 yrs ago still to this day one of the best concerts EVER! He is the ultimate entertainer, this audio wasn't great but still gotta love Robbie ❤️ 💕 ♥️
Official crowd size on the day 100,024 which is current stadium capacity. Capacity has previously been higher before renovations. 1970 grand final crowd size was 121,696
Farnsey and Delta are among a handful who will still stay pitch perfect while doing this sort of entertainment. Robbie is definitely an entertainer though.
Shane Warne was one of Australia’s and the world’s best spin bowlers in the game of cricket who passed away earlier this year of a heart attack. The three people who sat above the Shane Warne Stand were his three kids.
I love your Aussie tributes… As a proud Aussie it’s so touching to see an American appreciate our great country and talent, thank you. Australia is the most underrated country in the world, we have everything here. I’ve driven half around Australia on my own and I can tell it’s an awesome country.
Robbie is great! He did a great job too! He knows how to entertain the crowd. The AFL Grand Final one of the great sports occasions there is...100,000 plus
Robbie Williams is English and lives in America, but has been really popular in Australia for 25 years. He's 48 now. I saw him in 2003 when he was in his late 20s and he was amazing, a true showman.
This was such a fun performance by Robbie who is notoriously a great entertainer! He sounded fantastic given he was singing live (at least I don’t think there was anything prerecorded in his set). It’s so hard in a huge stadium that big and in the open air when so many things can go wrong in such a short performance. PLUS it also shows how hard You’re the voice is to sing! Robbie did a great job but John absolutely kills it everytime and no one can come close to his version - so happy to know he’s on the road to recovery and healing ❤️🩹 Next weekend I believe Jimmy Barnes (along with some other acts) will be performing at the Rugby League Grand Final in Sydney, so let’s hope Jimmys vocals are in top shape for that! Can’t wait to see him! I hope you get a chance to react to that too!!
They have both pre and half time entertainment. I've seen Robbie live in arenas and he's amazing! Highly entertaining and engaging. He's very popular in Australia. He has a pretty good voice. But it's always hard to judge that fairly in these outdoor stadiums, as they are notorious for having sound issues. I remember Darren Hayes sang at Mardi gras this year, his voice is flawless but he had sound issues which affected some of it too. I don't follow any football but it was the Sydney Swans Vs the Geelong Cats. I love that he dedicated songs to Shane Warne(who passed away in recent times) and John Farnham. I would have liked Delta sing You're the Voice with him. The song they sang together is "kids" which he originally recorded with Kylie Minogue.
Robbie is from the UK but is very much loved in Australia! This performance was truly phenomenal and one of the best we’ve had at our AFL grand finals for sure!
Delta and Robbie were fire! No, he's not the biggest entertainer in Australia ... (we all know who that is!) but it was a worthy way to intro Let me Entertain you". Robbie is one of those performers who always makes it a party! The AFL Grand Final is attended by 100,000+ people. Then there's the viewing audience which goes all over the world. Yes! Definitley about having a good time and getting the crowd pumped for the big game. The MCG (arena where they played) is an awesome stadium! The game was between Geelong (J'long - Cats) and Sydney (Swans). Geelong won and the game itself was a bit of a blowout. Tina was a the rugby final. It doesn't compare ... unless you're a rugby supporter! 🤣The tribute to John was amazing, especially with the clip shown on the big screen! Get well Farnsy!
Thank you for reacting to this!!!! He was amazing!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Robbie is the biggest entertainer alive in my opinion. You have to check him up and do more reactions to his songs/performances ❤❤❤
100,024 is the exact official seating capacity. It was a perfect sell out. Normally even on grand final day the attendance is like 100,017 or something. There’s often just a random couple of no-shows, but it was a truly full house
John sent out a message saying he watched this (he always watches the grand final) from his hospital bed and was really touched that they did this tribute! John is so humble (I know that first hand as he was completely stoked I left my 2 day old baby in the maternity ward to have lunch with him 1995) Any and All accolades really fill him with warmth, happiness, and love! 💖 Sadly I'm not convinced Robbie has the ability to do John's Songs justice! He is a 48yo English performer, big in the 1990s ... and in my books forgettable in comparison to John. But it does show you just how strong and brilliant John's ability to sing/perform is! (And how good Delta is too! - she is our next Olivia Newton John 💖) I LOVE that we are giving John his flowers while he is here too!!!! (what a wonderful way to express that!) John won't watch the recorded concerts unless it's to listen for improvements. He refuses to read any of the Biographies written about him, and will not allow any Bio-picks to be made while he's alive! Yes he is THAT humble! 💖 Thank you for your reactions and for starting the trend for all the other reaction people to cotton onto John! We will get his music and his message of "Positivity and Hope" to flood the world yet! CHOOKAS! 💖 NB: The MCG seats 100,000 and is usually sold out for our Grand Final. (The "Sound Relief" concert had over 82,000 people standing on the oval) Shane Warne [1969-March 2022] was a magnificent International Cricket Player but a bloody plonker!
Loved watching your reactions to Robbie, especially when you realised he’d written Angels! He’s def the best songwriter and performer in the world for me! Hence why my husband and I created a podcast about his music 🤩 Robbie Williams Rewind 👍
Robbie loves Australia, I saw him last August in Munich. There were 100,000 people there! At 48 he is a master of his craft. Not easy to fill up huge venues, but Robbie has loyal fans. I’m one of them.
Everytime I hear you sing @ThatSingerReactions I wonder why you aren't playing on our radio stations right now. Your voice better than most you review tbh x 🥰😘
I'm a long time Robbie fan, well since he went solo and it's really interesting to see your lack of reaction to his megahits. I guess that really is why he ended up moving to the US to be not recognised at every turn. I've seen his stadium shows here in Australia and he's a great entertainer. You should check out his song writing credits as well.
😂🕊️Thanks for this enjoyable entertaining program. Yes us Aussies know how to share the good times😁👍👏👏👏. Glad you enjoyed it too🥰. Welcome down under 😘 Watch the footy grand final Another treat😁👍 Cheers🙏🇦🇺
100,024 people attended this year, Nic. Funny part is that 100.024 is the actual official capacity, not sure how that works but it was the largest AFL crowd in 50 years.
Robbie Williams is a very successful English singer who has had a lot of hits. A showman and a bit of a naughty boy although he settled down once he got married and had children. He lives with his family in LA these days. I love that he paid tribute to John Farnham. Thanks for your interest.
Robbie is English he started out with Take That boy band back in 90s he was the wild boy of the band…he was huge when he went out on he’s own he puts on a great show he been quite for a while as he got married and having kids he’s about to release a new album and tour Australia next year in the new year his has some great songs especially Angels.. Let Me Entertain you,, he his 48 🥰🧐🇦🇺
I don’t think the US really has an equivalent of a Shane Warne. Cricket is a national sport, and he was an absolute icon of our national team. He was every bit as larger than life than a Michael Jordan, but he was on everyone’s team, not just the Bulls. His untimely death came out of nowhere, and it’s a mark of how widely regarded he was internationally that all international teams marked moments of silence and wore black mourning armbands in his honour. Great to see Chong Lim out there on keys for You’re the Voice too. Second time this performance has made me cry in three days
Fabulous entertainment. The amazing band w/ John Farnham music Producer/Director Chong Lim you know it’s going to be fabulous. And the backup singers (Chong Lim’s partner in the centre) are top shelf too…big vocals!
Shane Warne was an Australian Cricketer. Regarded as one of the world's best. Shane died suddenly of a heart attack earlier this year. Robbie was friends with Shane.
When it eventually is John’s time - there will be a true national mourning in Australia. We got a public holiday for the Queens passing but we are going to need a whole week for John. Public holiday every year in memoriam. When it eventually happens - 20 years from now. 🙏🏻
Melbourne is the sporting capital of Australia. The Melbourne Cricket Ground MCG holds over 100,000 spectators. Robbie Williams brought the house down and great to see Delta sing Kylie Minogue’s part in KIDS. I love that you like John Farnham, The Voice as it’s like Australia’s second national anthem.
Rob is an amazing entertainer and he’s had some fantastic hits over the years. He’s a huge international star and very popular in Australia. I just loved his tributes to Shane Warne and John Farnham and the way the whole crowd sang along, so moving. Great to see John’s musical director Chong Lim there too. Great energy and lots of fun.💕
Robbie Williams is British. He was only in Australia for the AFL Grand Final entertainment. They usually get a big name over here for the event each year.
2022. Robbie had been out in Australia as a judge on The Voice, Australia. He performed at the Australian Football League grand final and the ground holds 110,000 people. It was sold out on the day.
When they said "the biggest entertainer" they were making reference to his hit "let me entertain you" also being his first song of the day.

ha finally someone recognizes Robbie's "boy band" past
I think the nicest touch was having Chong Lim on stage. Chong is John's music director on and he definitely did the Farnham Band proud.
Chongy was the musical director for the AFL GF which is why he was on stage but yes also John’s MD
@@cherylslade8108 Didn't realize he was the MD for the GF. Makes sense now. But always great to see him doing he's thing.
Absolutely @Jade 😊
@@cherylslade8108 Robbie says in this video it's John's entire band performing with him
Also at Carols by Candlelight he is amazing. I broke down even more during the tribute when I saw him ❤

Love to see Delta singing "Kids". Of course the female part was originally sung by another Australian pop superstar in Kylie Minogue.
Robbie you absolutely nailed it……So glad you took us Aussies on. Such class from the UK.
Fun fact/Aussie connection: The Kids are Alright was originally a duet between Robbie and Kylie Minogue.
I'm grateful for the effort you put into your videos.
Thank you for reacting to this!!!! He was amazing!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Robbie is the biggest entertainer alive in my opinion. You have to check him up and do more reactions to his songs/performances ❤❤❤
"It's the obligatory new song, we'll get through it together" then after that song "back to the hits" *fuck it* XD
Glad you reacted to this
The footy's back home at the Mighty G. Just love how Robbie made this all about Australia 👏👏👏
I’ve seen Robbie twice and he was epic. His concert at Knebworth is as on par with Queen at liveaid!!
Robbie is amazing! Love him forever
There were 100,024 people in the stadium. Pretty much full capacity.
100,024 is the exact official seating capacity. It was a perfect sell out. Normally even on grand final day the attendance is like 100,017 or something. There’s often just a random couple of no-shows, but it was a truly full house
Was at this and it was brilliant
100,000 + people. Largest crowd since 1986. Best pre game entertainment ever.
Sadly I'm not convinced Robbie has the ability to do John's Songs justice! He is a 48yo English performer, big in the 1990s ... and in my books forgettable in comparison to John.
But it does show you just how strong and brilliant John's ability to sing/perform is!
(And how good Delta is too! - she is our next Olivia Newton John 💖)
I LOVE that we are giving John his flowers while he is here too!!!! (what a wonderful way to express that!) John won't watch the recorded concerts unless it's to listen for improvements. He refuses to read any of the Biographies written about him, and will not allow any Bio-picks to be made while he's alive! Yes he is THAT humble! 💖
Thank you for your reactions and for starting the trend for all the other reaction people to cotton onto John! We will get his music and his message of "Positivity and Hope" to flood the world yet! CHOOKAS! 💖
NB:
The MCG seats 100,000 and is usually sold out for our Grand Final.
(The "Sound Relief" concert had over 82,000 people standing on the oval)
Shane Warne [1969-March 2022] was a magnificent International Cricket Player but a bloody plonker!
Loved watching your reactions to Robbie, especially when you realised he’d written Angels! He’s def the best songwriter and performer in the world for me! Hence why my husband and I created a podcast about his music 🤩 Robbie Williams Rewind 👍
Not sure if you noticed they played video of John singing on the screen during You’re the Voice. Very touching.
You need to listen to Robbie singing Angels at Knebworth in 2003 you will love ❤️ it 👍🏻😁🏴
Robbie Williams is a brilliant entertainer. He also has a lot of respect for other artists and their talents.
MCG capacity is around 105,000 years ago there was 120,000 people at a grand final before the ground capacity was reduced
100,000 fans. Geelong v Sydney. Geelong won. Millions watching on TV. From Australia.
Robbie loves Australia, I saw him last August in Munich. There were 100,000 people there! At 48 he is a master of his craft. Not easy to fill up huge venues, but Robbie has loyal fans. I’m one of them.
Love that realisation of who sung angel's... it was the song that we chose to be played at my kids father's funeral. Xxxx
Best AFL entertainment in years
Everytime I hear you sing @ThatSingerReactions I wonder why you aren't playing on our radio stations right now.
He was great! That is all! Glad he dedicated his performances to two legends!😔🙏
😂🕊️Thanks for this enjoyable entertaining program.
Yes us Aussies know how to share the good times😁👍👏👏👏.
Glad you enjoyed it too🥰.
Welcome down under 😘
Watch the footy grand final
Another treat😁👍
Cheers🙏🇦🇺
100,024 people attended this year, Nic. Funny part is that 100.024 is the actual official capacity, not sure how that works but it was the largest AFL crowd in 50 years.
Best sport in the world. If you think nfl is hard you need to watch afl
Then rugby league, before nfl.
Robbie Williams is a very successful English singer who has had a lot of hits. A showman and a bit of a naughty boy although he settled down once he got married and had children. He lives with his family in LA these days. I love that he paid tribute to John Farnham. Thanks for your interest.
The background vocal that cuts through the end of the last song 'Kids' is Michael Paynter. His vocal range is just phenomenal!!
That is the MCG, it holds over 100,000 people, when Robbie sang "the voice" in tribute to John Farnham the whole crowd sang with him
Robbie is English he started out with Take That boy band back in 90s he was the wild boy of the band…he was huge when he went out on he’s own he puts on a great show he been quite for a while as he got married and having kids he’s about to release a new album and tour Australia next year in the new year his has some great songs especially Angels.. Let Me Entertain you,, he his 48 🥰🧐🇦🇺
Commenting as I watch- Robbie is a British singer and here in Australia at the moment on a PR tour for his concerts next year
So glad Robbies got a 3rd act with his Netflix special. Worth a watch.
Second time this performance has made me cry in three days
hahahahah you a funny man, love your reactions Nick
Fabulous entertainment.
The amazing band w/ John Farnham music Producer/Director Chong Lim you know it’s going to be fabulous.
And the backup singers (Chong Lim’s partner in the centre) are top shelf too…big vocals!
So pleased that you got to see this.
Shane Warne was an Australian Cricketer. Regarded as one of the world's best. Shane died suddenly of a heart attack earlier this year. Robbie was friends with Shane.
you are just a ray of sunshine ♥️
The AFL Grand Final was held at the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) and it holds just over 100k people
Does not matter how old or young you are. Everyone knows this song and will sing along. That's how much John has impacted Australia!
Robbie singing for Farnsey awesome love it 🇦🇺💫
2022. Robbie had been out in Australia as a judge on The Voice, Australia. He performed at the Australian Football League grand final and the ground holds 110,000 people. It was sold out on the day.
