Beautiful phrasing, impressive sound. In my head I hear a grand piano, upright bass and a drummer softly using brushes. Thank you Chris for keeping the old songs relevant. The lush strings on the Billie Holiday/Ray Ellis Orchestra version is really outstanding.
@@ChrisWhitemanGuitar One question: I think I saw an Headstrong Lil king amp (that I also have) behind you. How does it compare to the Vintage47 in terms of tone, feel and responsiveness? The Vintage seems to be smaller and portable. Is it lighter?
Great arrangement Chris. Gotta get your arrangement. You make me want to pick up the guitar and figure out how the heck you get those beautiful voicings. The ending reminds me of Dexter Gordon’s version.
Really enjoyed that, Chris. Cant say there is anything I havent enjoyed that you've posted. Do you think the vintage P-90 guitars you have (125T, 125 and 175) have become your "sound"? As most of your posts of recent months have been with them and they sound great.
@@ChrisWhitemanGuitar proud to hear it soon.. All the best.. Just a question. What happened in your music carrear during this covid 19 pandemia? Are still working performing?
Lovely and inspiring, as always, Chris! You make everything look effortless and your tone is exquisite. Do you have any tips on how to get that lush tone playing fingerstyle? Perhaps, better addressed in a private lesson. And, you're convincing me to get off the fence and order the Vintage 47 amp you're playing through! Best, Bill
Hi Bill, What I have found is that a big part of my tone is from the fretting hand. Making a solid connection with the fretboard is critical to creating a clear rich sound. Hope that helps
@@ChrisWhitemanGuitar Thanks, Chris! I really appreciate your input. I will work on it using your approach and if I don’t make any progress I will contact you for a private lesson. Tone is so critical. If you can’t get it right nothing else matters no matter how perfectly you play otherwise. Thanks again, Bill

I think we should give that amp some credit too, sweet !
Yes, it is a great Amp!
Amazing! I am learning a bunch of your arrangements, currently working on Misty. Question, how do you keep your guitars properly humidified?
I use a room humidifier during the winter months. The rest of the year the humidity in my house is 5o% which is perfect foe guitars
HI there, vdery nice arrangement. Can you do an arrangement playing in the same key but an octave lower? Thank you.
tasty single line outro

Lol the guy that gave this a “thumbs down”?….shows more about his ignorance than any other result.
Ha!
Love these arrangements Chris , do you have a favourite guitar out of your collection?
Thank you. I love them all equally!
