he could have played a recruit and be done. yes he would take some extra damage but thats worth it. next turn the mini bot would be dead to recruit + weapon. yes kripp would have a way to deal with it using his bluegill, but thats a risk you take versus waisting a equality.
Kripp explained it: he could have played a recruit and hit with the weapon... The chance that it could get out of control is pretty unlikely, therefore it was a bad play. As Kripp is playing a paladin, he doesn't have a hero power to remove easily the recruit to go face again with the bot.
Tad Vanoostrum Exactly, + Kripp was playing a Paladin and the next turn he would have 3 mana so the only way he could deal with it was a charge minion or muster for battle which is really unlikelly
lkjkhfggd What? I like to put Gelbin for lolz, but when I decide to play him I basically surrender the game, as this card usually finds a way to screw me up.
kripp was going to miss lethal, that's why he kept joking about it afterwards. if the priest hadn't surrendered kripp probably would've traded minions rather than win.
uh. but then the mage chooses to not play the two drop. and the dumbass trades a coin AND a card for the opponent hero powering once. lol. the value is real.
yes, it allows you both to skip a turn while not getting any value out of it and following up with heropower while kripp gets ahead in draws. AND wastes the freaking coin. Awesome! Honestly, I can't even think of any worse turn 1 play
Cole444Train You know what was REALLY stupid? Pinging that little ship. He could've played the Unstable Portal instead. That would make 90% of that paladin's 2-drops terrible.
Kripp: Look at these newbs. Missplays himself on the very first clip. The right play would have been: Unstable portal. Pass. Let him play another minion. Kill sheep for extra value next turn.
This is not necessarily better unless you get a "1-drop" from unstable portal. If you ping the sheep in turn 3, your opponent get to play a 3-drop on his turn, but you get nothing on the board. On the other hand you can always play a 3/2 plus portal on turn 3, and the 3/2 can deal with a whole lot of 3-drops that the opponent may play. Not to mention the opponent won't be dumb enough to play a 3/2 on his turn 2. Probably he will play a 2/3 or summon a guy. So basically you don't get extra value compared to pinging on turn 2.
5:03 Wasn't it fail that the mage didn't summon the taunt first so that the juggler doesn't enrage the worgen? I mean 25% chance not to enrage it. Kripparrian had lethal, the mage didn't know but still he missplayed.
Explanation for the 2 = 3 clip. It wasn't as simple as that. As you can see, it was a 5/5 and he consecrated before using the Seal of light so he already did 2 damage before doing the 2 damage with his face making it deal 4 damage. Now combined with the 2 damage dealt from consecrate that's 6 damage so he actually had 1 damage extra. That's why it survived with 1 health.
I notice kripp mentions a lot of poker terms, like the nut low, and outs. Do you play poker kripp? If so please post tutorials on how to gain maximum equity.
Fireblasting explosive sheep with unstable portal in hand was arguably even worse play than what the opponent did. He could still ping it next turn also killing whatever else was on the board
6:30, his play was good, pyroplast is not a card that everyone agrees on beeing good, to often it's just a dead card, it does nothing for the rest of your deck, also it's an epic so it's rare, the guy went for the "greedy" play that would have been better in 9 out of 10 cases, which was drawing him an extra card
***** well you dont play around pyroblast specificly but you overall play around direct damage when you play against a mage. Double fireball, fireball frost bolt ping, fireball charge(ping), all that could kill him beside the pyroblast. maybe unlikely because the opponen might have used it fo board controle. but being behind on the board like that you might save the fireball on your hand for the only possible situation that could make you win. So cardadvantage/board controle does not justify this play.
I personally think the guy at 6:10 didn't misplay. And it certainly wasn't a misplay strictly. I would take his line of play in that situation every time.
Especially since pyro was not the only way that he loses, what if kripp goes flamestrike, runner, runner? Flamestrike is more likely than pyroblast in arena. Insurance against flamestrike is more cards.

2:11 play wasn't bad tbh. Sometimes this little guy scales out of control. Especially if you don't have another answer.
I agree, there weren't much misplay there
he could have played a recruit and be done. yes he would take some extra damage but thats worth it. next turn the mini bot would be dead to recruit + weapon. yes kripp would have a way to deal with it using his bluegill, but thats a risk you take versus waisting a equality.
Tad Vanoostrum What about if kripp had a taunt and the opponent lacked consecration? Or a kings to follow the taunt? Don't ignore those circumstances.
Kripp explained it: he could have played a recruit and hit with the weapon... The chance that it could get out of control is pretty unlikely, therefore it was a bad play. As Kripp is playing a paladin, he doesn't have a hero power to remove easily the recruit to go face again with the bot.

I knew it could chicken itself, because I put gelbin in like every deck - where he belongs
Too true, brother, in early Closed Beta days golden Gelbin was very common.
I also put Gelbin in all my decks, at least until I started wanting to win games.
lkjkhfggd What? I like to put Gelbin for lolz, but when I decide to play him I basically surrender the game, as this card usually finds a way to screw me up.
first play already killed me : turn 1 coin + explosive sheep. Great video
I like how at 8:47 he just goes right back to eating
This video actually makes me feel better about my skill in arena.

7:20. "mass dispell+illuminator on priest = decent deck" is what kripp says.
Was expecting Kripp plays (fails)... guess that a myth huh ? xD
7:15 I was like : cool, he healed himself... where was the misplay ?
And then I was like : OOOOooooooohhh !
that last one was really good
2:55 what was the fail? kripp had the lethal on board :D?
The priest had 12 damage on the board but didn't realise he could kill Kripp (he had 8 health)
oh thanks! i guess i didnt see that
Jake Parker but it was kripps turn
yes, my thought exactly!
kripp was going to miss lethal, that's why he kept joking about it afterwards. if the priest hadn't surrendered kripp probably would've traded minions rather than win.
The first one prevents you from playing a two drops.
Mario Pham that would only make sense if he had a great 2 drop follow up, which he did not have, judging by the way he played a dude.
uh. but then the mage chooses to not play the two drop. and the dumbass trades a coin AND a card for the opponent hero powering once. lol. the value is real.
well kinda OK but stupid :P

What was the missplay at 3:00? Kripp had lethal.
The fail was on Krip. He was taking his time contemplating his next move while the whole time he had lethal and didn't notice.
The mech mage one killed me..
Last one wasn't arena, but was still hilarious :)

he could fall behind when the enemy plays a 3health minion on turn 3. nothing wrong with heroepower on turn 2
Turn 2 Unstable portal turn 3 wiping board by killing sheep + playing 1-4 drop from portal clearly better play
Arena fail compilation is best video =D

That play at 6:20 was quite ok. He want to draw a card.
Yeh man, he got to draw a card and then die. That's quite okay, indeed, cuz drawing cards is more important than winning. :)
ye but, he didnt play around pyroblast, which in turn, lost him the game.
5:50 not a mistake, he wanted to draw a card....
Not a "mistake", just a dumb play
1:34 did Kripp forget to attack face with frostwolf and tiger?
if the enemy hero is damaged, the healing well has a chance to heal it, so it's not a guaranteed minion kill
He wanted to kill auchenai. Light well only heal damaged units
has anyone told you that you sound like john malkovich

6:02 alright that was just down right stupid, why would you heal him and then attack with him... :S
To draw a card because cleric on bosrd?
slevnnn He could've healed his character, thus saving him the loss of that round.

I know, but he asked why he healed the minion before attacking with it, so I answered why i thought he did it. :P

+Jan Rodriguez Yep. The only thing I'd call a missplay is not trading in the shield.
