The VHS tapes have been found thanks to my friend JDMWeeb! I will be posting one of these a day which will go on for about two weeks. Posting this for archival purposes as I'm very passionate about preserving anything from the San Francisco Rush series. The rest of the tapes are viewable on Archive.org. archive.org/de...
Be sure to check these coin guides as well.

    Description from archive.org.
Originally hosted on RUclips, these VHS tape recordings are various points of San Francisco Rush and San Francisco Rush 2049's development, recorded by Stephen Riesenberger, game designer for both titles. Also included is some footage of Hot Rod Rebels, an unfinished sequel to Rush 2049.

We need this version (arcade version) of Rush 2049 on modern consoles with all the cars and paint jobs along with all the tracks from the Tournament/Special Editions

That would be amazing but I wouldn't leave it up for devs nowadays to get it right. Mame emulation is almost perfect so if you haven't tried it already then do so if your pc can handle it. I personally use a gamecube controller and it play fine with it.

@@Stevie2049 I prefer playing on a controller. But if I were to play this on MAME, what do I need to do to program the controller to do the basic controls such as steering, acceleration, brake, reversing, upshifting/downshifting, etc?

      Paddle 1 Analog = Joy 1 axis
Paddle 1 Analog Inc = None
Paddle 1 Analog Inc = None
That's for steering. Use the escape key to unbind inputs.
Pedal 1 is fo acceleration and Pedal 2 is for Break. Only map the analog and not the Inc and Dec just like the Paddle.
I put abort and the 3 view buttons on the Dpad, music and reverse on the face buttons and the gearbox on the other stick. This should work for any controller that mame detects. If you use gamecube adapter w/ controller like me then you need to run the GCNadapter program before you boot up mame.

They actually planned to do that for Midway Arcade Treasures 3 but at some point they just emulated the Dreamcast version.

2:42 i really wanted to know what at the end of that hole
57:05 about that unaccesible coin, i saw a answer of a former dev via facebook and he told that´s just an easter egg and that is indicated due the fact that the coin turns very slowly

Stevie Who records tracking into the capture? :P
Generally, that's supposed to be done before attempting to record the tape. :P

Midway published the home port with the help from their in-house dev team, but atari did all of the work for the Arcade ver.
