Thank you for watching! Yes, we definitely needed to bring the puppies inside since we just had that week-long winter storm down here in south Texas. All puppies are healthy and happy now and just a couple weeks away from going to their forever homes. 😁
Woohoo, I am in north Texas. I have a 11 month old Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd named Harlow. We got her at 10 weeks, so I never saw her this little. Thanks for the video. I have midwifed many pups over the years, very little bothers me. It’s all Gods creation.
Thank you for sharing this! Our pyrenees is pregnant, due in about 15 days , she already looks like she is going to pop. I really appreciate you guys taking time to make this and share bc I really wasn't sure what to expect , 🙏💗 🌞 I hope everything is going well on your farm
I have a Great Pyrenees named Moya she is 3 now she is an indoor dog I wouldn't be alive without her I love her like she my own daughter. I love your videos and wanted to thank you for your content.
I feel the same. Mine is actually my granddog and I just have her for a time, but she has gotten me through the very worst time of my life. I owe it all to God and our precious GP, Yui.
Good job momma ! Beautiful video. We lost 2 newborn calves during that snow/ice storm . 😢 Don’t care if we ever get snow in Louisiana again! That was a rough week!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful video. It really helped me think about puppies being born in the winter. I now will have a plan B. Love GLD's, especially Great Pyrenees!!
I appreciate your video thank you! My landlords are away and we are expecting their Great Pyrenees to go into labour. So it might just be my husband and I at the house when it happens. We have a small insulated chicken coop with a heat lamp in it. But now I'm wondering if that will be warm enough as we are in Canada and they are calling for -30 -40C at night this week....
Congratulations new puppies. I enjoy watching your show. I forwarded yours to my friend in Japan. Now Great Pyrenees are very popular in Japan. But only rich families can afford having them. They spend so much money for grooming and medical bills. It is quite different from life in US as working dog. Anyway I hope your family will be super happy! I live in LA CA , originally from Japan . My Pyrenees died last year because of borne cancer. I will have one soon near future. Have a wonderful day!
Thank you for watching! Loving your content as well. Our little homesteads are pretty similar! And yes, Millie and Mabel are both great country/farm names! 😄 We actually picked “M” names for all of our GP and farm animals. We are quickly running out of good “M” names though! Lol 😆
Have you all ever had puppies before? I sat next to our 3 different doggies with the MOMMY'S back next to my legs so when she rested she could put her head on my leg for comfort! Our 1 dog had 14 from 6pm to 3am on the breezeway! But, never take the puppies away from the Mommy! They clean them up! Don't you have a sheet for the Mommy & Babies? That looks like something in a barn?
How long did you keep them inside separate from the goats? Our Great Pyrenees is due the day before Thanksgiving and it’s her first time having a litter and my first time experience as well
We keep them inside, separate from the livestock until 6 weeks. And we ease their exposure to the goats and chickens for a week or two with supervised training times. One of our bucks is a bit of a jerk to little pups and will try to buck them lol
R.I.P to the Pup that passed away. I have a question though ... What’s the difference in “Homestead” & a “Farm”? I’m in TX too. But in the DFW area. You have a Beautiful Family. God Bless. - Randee
Thank you for watching Randee! From what I understand, a "farm" is generally focused on selling goods or livestock for profit, while a "homestead" is focused on growing produce and raising livestock in order to be self-sufficient. We do a little of both on our property, so we tend to interchange the two terms. 😁 God bless!
@@WillowRidgeAcres oh okay because this person is selling gp but only one out the litter has a dew claw so I don’t really know if they’re pure breed. But literally has the exact characteristics but only thing worrying me is the couple purple dots on tongue and dew claw missing.
If you have puppy’s the next time when their 7 or 6 weeks old you can put the mother back out because they can’t Eat their puppy food plus when their 4 days old or more you can also pick them up and put them on your chest or on your chest while you lay down And it gives them a bit more attention. also if they are in a group their just trying stay warm because their fur is not thick and sorry for one of the puppy Lost :( but don’t worry it’s in a better place you just need a heater to keep them warm you can also get a nice warm dog bed for them it helps A lot as well Also fun fact I’m a dog expert when it comes to Great Pyrenees lol

Our Bella just had 7 last night. 3 boys and 4 girls. She's a great Mama!
That's awesome! Do you guys plan to make any videos about the pups?
@@WillowRidgeAcres oh yes! Just uploaded the birthing video this morning 😁
Beautiful... The miracle of life. Good that you brought them inside the house.

I'm so sorry to hear that Sheila. Yes, as much fun it was to play in the snow, it also caused a bit of work and was a rough week here too.

Loved watching this. And how funny that you have a GP named Millie, and MABLE was the other name we were deciding between! 🤣🙌

Thank you for watching Sarah! These Great Pyrenees are livestock guardian dogs, so yes they are born in a barn and live outside with proper shelter. 😁
Suggestion: give them a heating pad, heating blanket, etc
Thank you. That is a great suggestion!

Soooo adorable!!!
They are like baby polar bears!
So cute!
Thank you! We are working on some new videos of them to post soon. Stay tuned! 👀

When does the dew claws start to grow in ?
They are actually born with their dew claws, they are just tiny when they are newborn. 🥰
@@WillowRidgeAcres oh okay because this person is selling gp but only one out the litter has a dew claw so I don’t really know if they’re pure breed. But literally has the exact characteristics but only thing worrying me is the couple purple dots on tongue and dew claw missing.
❤
why blood on the dog pls?
It's not blood, it's the afterbirth and placenta from each puppy.
If you have puppy’s the next time when their 7 or 6 weeks old you can put the mother back out because they can’t

Best advice for animal birth is STOP INTERFERING! Gods design is perfect. Allow it to unfold.
That’s right! We were just there for backup should things go bad. But mama Mabel did so good 😊 thanks for watching!
All puppies and kittens should be born inside even if it's outdoor dog
Thanks for watching Ruthann!
So how do you think feral and wildlife animals are born??? OUTSIDE
