    Honestly it could be more

It can but considering the game is 8 years old it isn't bad.

I'd like to see the pets be able to attack or gather resources, and different abilities for different types of fauna.

What I've always wanted was true co-op. Start a shared save with other players, share progress, storage, and freighter. Would have to be so one player has the save on their computer and then other players could choose to go into co-op mode and join that player's game.

NMS does indeed need more, it is not quite perfected yet. While there are a lot of different mechanics to hook players, there are a few that need more depth.
Ultimately, HG will have to make a choice at which they say the game is finally finished. I just hope it will be a few more years and some compelling updates until then.

Need more planet types, flora and fauna. Different biomes on one planet

I feel like once they nail this in Light No Fire (if not already) they will try and implement it in No man’s sky. It might not be as fleshed out as LNF but still impressive to some degree.

The game needs a complete remake from top to bottom to tie all the loose features together, and the whole thing needs more depth in every aspect. The game still feels very much like an early access title compared to a finished game. Funnily enough the game felt more complete at release; a more focused experience when it desperately didn't try to be something for everyone.

This game definitely swept me up. It really needs head tracking support, HOTAS support, ship strafing, and a decouple mode. Graphically, it's pretty darn good now, but planets from space look like plastic as well as the ground surfaces. Remedy these things, and it would be breathtaking.

Still needs asteroids where you can land. The planets getting increasingly more bizarre the closer to the galaxy center. More variation in the sense that plants and other element shapes are slightly randomized. It also needs real sun orbits and proper accounting on how far a planet is from its star plus gas giants (even if they are just for decoration). It needs procedural dungeons to raid.

I hadn't played since release but came back to check out the latest expedition and I'm impressed with how far the game has come. Of course, there's always room for improvement but they could've just said "fuck it lol" and left us stuck with nothing.

Feature for n switch that were eluded too still missing not to mention not being able to start a new save still broken so I cannot play expeditions as a new save. It's been broken since omega despite zen desk tickets...

What, how much quicksilver do you have !? Jeez...

It's the one game I keep playing. Good review. The settlement interaction could be expanded and the oceans...which we know is coming with Worlds part 2. I agree with others that more flora / fauna variation would also be good.

What are you talking about? No, NMS 2024 has not been perfected. Far from it. Lol 😂

Its a brilliant game, always things to do. With regards to the combat i wish they would introduce a new species, or make human npc's to fight against.

Do something more with your pets. Buying the quicksilver for the armor for pets but hardly does anything fun or productive with it. Make your pet herd the wild animals so you can round em up or able to make a farm and do something with the fs not just 8 second jet pack boost or hazard protection. Food and pets and more NPc for base building it’s cool but empty

Not perfect, But for me it has all the right ingredients,as @AZBINION said more variety in things wouldn't hurt, but for me not perfect but perfect enough for me, as your video describes so many things to choose to do or not do.
