    Excellent video mate! I'll have these replaced later today so your video helped me to see exactly what the mechanic should do in order not to ruin my car!

    Brilliant video mate! Although I recommend getting an old Calpol syringe for the cutting fluid and applying it when needed, reduces loss 😁

    If you have the control arm removed just replace the whole thing.

      @@BenotzJoenew control arm and ball joints includes new bushings, 4 bolts in and out easier than messing with drilling out rivets and everything will be new in one shot.

      @@DaveL188 after drilling out the rivets, I concur that this is actually the way. Just get out your wallet and save yourself a ton of work.

    Now i m doing this job myself and the parts provided have some M8 bolts! Isn t wrong to have 10 mil holes &8mm bolts?

    • @OEMDeniedPerformance
      @OEMDeniedPerformance  2 года назад +1

      Yeah dont fit those mate. Bolts should be M10s. If you fit M8s into a 10mm hole you will have free play till bolts are fully tightened but because of the free play you wont have the same both sides so alignment specs wont then be correct when the alignment is done

      @@OEMDeniedPerformance Thanks for your replay! Ordered some bolts and now I'm confident they will fit as they should! Thanks!

    Interesting but I have not needed to remove the arm just grind the top lugs off and the rest falls out. Fit new unit done in under half the time.

      Normal practise to drill rivets out rather than grind the heads off because if you grind... the arm will then rust where you have ground.

      What bolts did you use?the ones provided with the ball joint or bought new ones?

    What toque is it for the bolts for the ball joint mate ???

    • @OEMDeniedPerformance

      Ford dont actually list one as they dont list ball joints to buy on their own sorry.

    Why not replace the whole control arm lol, you already have it off

    • @OEMDeniedPerformance
      @OEMDeniedPerformance  2 месяца назад

      Most replace the ball joints whilst installing poly bushes or an anti lift kit. Waste to buy a new arm then pull new bushes out of it. A ball joint is also only $88. 1 Genuine Ford arm over $800
