In my opinion, just making a game without broadcasts is difficult. Great job!
Without broadcasts is pretty easy due to variables. Next you could do without variables and might have to use costumes to check if costume num = x then (equivalent to the broadcast function if you make the costumes Identical. There's always a way around doing things the hard way in scratch.)

A very entertaining video! I am impressed by how you treat the game as if it would be something official, a game that isn't just made for a challenge. You put actual effort and a lot of work into the visuals and mechanics. Very admirable.
A lot of the time that I draw things, it takes me a long time for some reason. I'm pretty quick with coding but I can really get hung up on drawing even small props. I would honestly love to see an 8-12 minute video made by you on your workflow when drawing, so that people who have the same issue like me can get some tips on efficiency and other things. Especially tips about animating.

Game seems pretty cool but it sucks that it isn't mobile friendly, all it would need is a button to turn on and off the alarm that would make it work for mobile
one thing I just wanna say real quick a fnaf fan game doesn't have to be high quality to be a good fnaf fan game even on scratch now it might be a little harder to make a high quality fnaf fan game on scratch but it doesn't have to be high quality especually if thats the esthetic like Dayshift at freddy's now anyways ima watch this video

I did that challenge because I didn't understand how to add broadcasts. Its a buggy mess. Its called Ben's Nights and yeah. My 2nd and 3rd fangames are much better. And they do use broadcasts
Oh. And also. How do you get the effect where if your mouse pointer is to the left then it looks left?
Put a forever block. Insert a blue ”set x to” block. Insert the green block with the * in the middle. On the left space insert a blue mouse x and type a negative number in the right space.

If lists don't count as variables, it could be relatively easy to make a broadcasts system with them. Otherwise... oh my goodness.

Read the scratch community guidelines again. The warning screen should not be neccesary because it anything the warning screen mentions (jumpscares or gore or etc) is actually in the game your account can and will be deleted by scratch team because of scratches strict guidelines
I heard a wise man (my dad) once say, "as long as you don't get caught, it's not illegal" So I guess he should just try to stay under the radar
Really late reply but the guidelines are extremely inconsistent. Some users have gotten their games even if they did add a warning sign and toggle button but they also take down games who don’t have them. All of my FNAF games have that button and only one got taken so again, criminally inconsistent guidelines.

Hey! Not related but since no other scratch devs have answered my question I came to you,I made the cams system in my game but the hide cameras button does not show up. I hope this isn’t too annoying just having trouble and want to get my game done lol.
do you mean that the button for turning off the cameras disappear after you turn it on? That is probably a layering problem, try using the go to front block for the camera button.

I just add a shadowy overlay and then some white faded triangles, adding the ghost effect will also help

Volter, follow the instructions of reading the guidelines again. Instead of hearting your comment you could read the guidelines again from scratch to see how strict they are so you can save your account AND its email from being banned from scratch (it has alt account protection)

@@MaxwellCatAlphonk You have a good point. Last time I always thought that having a warning was essential along with the jumpscare setting. I've already read the guidelines but the problem is that they're rather vague. However, in my games there are only jumpscares which is automatically set to off when you start so I think I'll be fine.
