Rob, Im one of the biggest Thin Lizzy fans there are. I want you to know I thoroughly enjoyed watchin this video. I could definitely hear ya playin behind them. Have a great day and thanx again for keepin Lizzy rockin.
well done and clear, greetings from istanbul - the home of zildjiyan use it - and another great thank you for choosing such a great band like thin lizzy !!
Nice playing. I learned to play in the late 70s and as this was the music of the time I was drumming along to all the Lizzy albums in those days, especially the live version of sha la la. I remember well trying to master this one, brilliant work by Mr Downey, he was a very underrated drummer.
Tremendo Rob, exclente! , esta canción salio de moda cuando yo tenia quizá tu edad y me encanta ver que después de 30 años muchachos como tu aprecian la buena música, la sigan escuchando y la toquen, gracias por esta interpretación y que descanse en paz Phil.......
They're triplet rolls. Basically patterns of right-left flams followed by a kick, in a tight sequence. You can play one triplet or you can string them together the way Brian does in this song. Listen to the beginning of 'Makes No Difference' by Pat Travers on his live album for a kickass example.
