    everybody has done things they are not proud of and I think lot of the allegations against him are money motivated but you cant take his comedy and what he did for comedy away from him no matter what he will always be in the top 10 of the best comedians ever

    • @angelabluebird609

      Carousing, yes, being vicious, no. His comedy, his work for children, from Fat Albert, Little Bill and
      generosity to education and the arts. Mr. and Mrs. Cosby are known for these endeavors for the benefit
      of all. This is his legacy.
      Groupies and hangers on are always a large crowd. Those with wealth or fame are often targets. One woman, with a male accomplice, went to prison for trying to extort $ from Mr. Cosby in a similar manner as more recent allegations...
      I've been listening to and watching Mr. Cosby since I was about 7 years old. I believe in him and
      am thankful to and for him always.

      I AGREE! I NEVER BELIEVED THEM! IT WAS ALL ABOUT MONEY AND TAKING DOWN A LEGEND! IN THE 1950'S ROBERT YOUNG AKA JIM ANDERSON WAS AMERICA'S DAD, IN THE EIGHTIES IT WAS BILL COSBY AKA CLIFF HUXTABLE. IN THE 1960'S IT WAS HUGH BEAUMONT AKA WARD CLEAVER

      I believe that his troubles began shortly after he stated that Blacks (he uses that term) have to stop being victims and rise above it (prove yourself). It was soon after that when people were calling him an "Uncle Tom" and then started hitting him with the rape allegations. Yes, he was a victim of both that and greed (80 year old man going blind is an easy "target"). I'm sure he didn't do it; Camille supported, and still supports him!

      @John DeNicols: Well..., he was convicted. Wives do tend to support the guilty d/t "love". But .., despite it all... Cosby's comic genius will last forever in the universe no matter what folks think of him. Thank you comments John!! :)

      ***** I know bro. I was just saying that's where I think Cosby inspired Pryor the most. You can tell he was fond of his comedy. He doesn't rip him off, he just has that intrinsic trait.

    • @tw69hands2
      @tw69hands2 9 лет назад +2

      True. Paul Mooney, Richard Pryor's writer, said in an interview that Richard admitted to him that he had always wanted to cross over the Bill Cosby had done. Paul had to convince Richard to just 'be himself' and rely on his own creativity, sincerity, and humor to stand on their own.

    • @tw69hands2
      @tw69hands2 8 лет назад +1

      dante daniel Lane: Paul Mooney said for years Richard always wanted to do what Bill did. Richard had done similar stuff when he was on Merve Griffin's Show in the 60s, but Richard's professional pride wouldn't allow him to keep that up, being a comedy relief. Bill could be himself without necessarily going through what Richard did. The interview is on RUclips right now.

    • @jimwalsh8706
      @jimwalsh8706 7 лет назад

      +Dante daniel Lane of course Richard prior can't do what Mr Crosby has done first off Mr pryor (may he rest in peace) isn't going through the court and allegations and secondly has dead.
