Purchased my 321 - a 145.012-67 - last Friday. The prize in my collection, and probably the one from the 1960s to me outclasses the 2019 one, because it was made back then, is a piece of history of the 1960s. The 1960s is my decade as a kid...
Love the speedy. Own two. If they release a standard speedy with the 321, I will have three of them. Great vid again mate. Yours are the best on YT at the moment. Keep up the good work.
From a conceptual and design standpoint this watch obviously has a lot going for it, as mentioned in the video. I question however Omega's decision to case it in platinum and price it north of EUR 50k. IMO, pricing a Speedmaster in the vicinity of a Patek Nautilus or a Royal Oak Jumbo does its legacy of an accessible, yet dependable tool-watch with awesome history a disservice ... regardless of how great the execution of this particular model might be.
Just beautiful. Yet some people today are now willing to pay 2-3x the retail cost for a steel Rolex when in all probability, you could just walk into an Omega AD and buy one of these. Mind boggling.
It will be on the range of 50K Euros. It really worth it! 💜🔥💜. This is for collectors. The 321 is perhaps the best ever chrono movement ever. Dial of Onix, hands of white gold.
Arguable. Philippe Dufour says that the greatest chrono movement ever is found in the Lange Datograph. And if you don't know who Dufour is, I can't help you ;)
Still got a 1939 Tissot column wheel chronograph with Lemania CH 27, a very early version of the future legendary Lemania 2310 - or 321 at Omega. Paid less than 1K for it. I am sure this 321 will cost a bit more !
I like the watch, but as horology is a rich man's game, this does not interest me that much as I'll never get my hands on it. I'm more interested in the stainless steel piece when it comes out. I'm into watch movements and there are so many versions of the speedmaster I've had analysis paralysis for years trying to figure out which model to save my pennies for. At this point I'll wait for the 321 in stainless and hope it won't be priced to the heavens. I like this watch, oddly I'd prefer it without the meteorite subdials. Beautiful watch, especially with the twisted lugs. Again waiting for the stainless steel version.
@1:32 Hate the back of the watch attention-seeking engraving with "WORN" on its own. If you spend for this watch, you will remember and say it too often for your freinds to hear! Nice vid, ID Guy
No thank you. If I wanted a full black dial, I'd get the normal moon watch. There needs to be something subtle but not too subtle that differentiates it if you are going to spend 50k. Look at how Apple adds a simple red dot on their apple watch to differentiate it from the previous gens.
@@tonyl7000 there are subtle differences the second hand is the same as the second hand on the 105.012 and then the omega logo is applied and not painted on. The subdials don't bother me as much as the seconds subdial on the 50th anniversary moon landing model in steel but I still think it would have been better to just do a reissue of the 105.012 like Breitling did with the navitimer 806, or like oris did with the 65 or seikos diver reissue. Keep things as simple as possible and they will never go out of style.
@@kevinduncan9686 Too subtle. If someone were to take a picture, it probably would go unnoticed but grey subdials can be recognized from 5-10 feet away.. Even Rolex designers say that a good design should be recognizable from across the room. It doesn't need to be bright and bold.. Just distinguishable. That's simply your personal preference, but from a design perspective, this is a better design then what you suggested.
@@tonyl7000 I get what your saying but it's interesting you bring up Rolex because their watches change at a snail's pace and they don't do special editions. You can tell the difference from pre ceramic models to their current lineup but before that there was little difference between a submariner from the 60s and one from the 2000s. Maybe from a design point of view they made the right decision but serious speedmaster collectors like speedmaster101 are going to agree with me. Revolution did a video with him if you don't know who I'm talking about. In the video he talks about how omega needs to keep the reissues simple like the ultraman. It should have just had a red hand like the original but they had to put something different in the subdial.

OMG... my new grail watch... utterly gorgeous.
Great video ID Guy. What a cool new Speedy. It’s nice to see that some companies listen to their customers.

Omega's back! I hope they continue to listen to their customers and keep the prices in check.
Fantastic informative review as usual. Love your channel.

Outstanding narration, very riveting to hear
Nice video! :-) That 321 movement looks amazing!
This is subtle and beautiful while paying homage to its roots.
I get to try one next week!
Suuuuuuccchhh a beautiful piece. Great video my man
Gotta be the ultimate Speedmaster 😍👍👍

A classic that blend modern fusion into it. I LOVE IT. 😍
Great video. It's worth pointing out that alle the pieces of the movement that used to be brass are now 18kt Moonshine Gold.
And what is the list price for this watch?

Yes. It is targeted at watch collectors.

Wow, this is beautiful!
One of the best chronograph pieces out there. I hope it’ll not be overpriced
Tom Khong
Yeah, platinum watches are never overpriced...
All things considered (Platinum, meteorite, historic meaning, 321 movement), is it worth $70k?
Wonder what’s happening with the cal. 3861
Great Video as usual unfortunately I’m quite certain it won’t be in my meagre budget☹️
One small step for Omega, one giant leap for Mankind.
Hi, any idea of price yet? This is the first I have heard of this. Thanks
Hot off the press IDG!! Nicely done
Love my dark side toe moon, this may just have to be my second…

In an article today .. expected price@ 60,000 swiss francs... just mere pocket change!
They should have had this available in July!

@Michael Dude agreed - better than 60k, but still expensive
Wish they would make one in a more obtainable metal version! $$$
No steel bracelet kills it for me.
Me too. First Omega I like but the bracelet. .
@1:32 Hate the back of the watch attention-seeking engraving with "WORN" on its own. If you spend for this watch, you will remember and say it too often for your freinds to hear!
Nice vid, ID Guy
They should have filled the two blanks with OMEGA and PROFESSIONAL, and moved WATCH next to WORN.
Good video, can you do video about Loreo shark series ? I know you like Parnis, Loreo is similar to that brand.
It would have been perfect if they left the subdials black. I'm glad I decided to get a 105.012-63 instead of waiting for this.

Great video, very nice watch, very ridiculous price ...
Nice video mate !
Are we ever going to see anything besides Omega and Rolex again? Seems you've fallen into a rut.
imagine making a video on watches you like
Got my notification from Omega today, if you want to see it what is your email?
Great vid.
Lovely watch.
But ridiculous. What price, £50k?
FFS!
Yea and a rolex at 2x list makes alot of sense
Wow, want this but I think it will be to expensive
Very, very nice, but its gonna be $40,000 unfortunately, so one for the hardcore only!
it's going to be more than that, at least in Switzerland
Actrually 56.800 Euro
Bellissimo
The 321 is OK. It would be much better with a free sprung balance on full balance bridge with shock absorber. But it's OK.
One would be lucky as to own one! But don't count on it! Wishful thinking.....
Omega sucks soo bad ...no body will buy this watch.. wwe wanted this watch at 3.5 k euro on chrono not 50 k ... sadly its Rolex Rolex Rolex
I like 863 more, looks prettier
