I don't film my favorite lion extremely hurt because i need something from it, i film them because i care. I film them, because someone else will do the unthinkable, and whistle at them while they are asleep, to get that photo. Humanity is a strange thing when it comes to nature. People tend to only want to see the beauty, and i do too. But someone needs to show it as it is, in it's most brutal way possible, for others to understand and learn. Elizabeth, sadness unfortunately comes with this package. It's a story that almost every time ends up in heartbreak. Although father Lubeylubey is still alive, it's sad that a warrior, a once strong leader, is left alone. I'm hoping he gets some help soon. I really really do🙏🙏
Good lord what story! As you say. I was trying to figure it out, just watching the footage. Beautiful head on shots of expression there. The more dominant male had quite a mark on his right shoulder, tricky place to clean. Already following lead Lioness in position. I don't know the map of area, so just follow what you said about October's awful ending. These aren't Luby's sons are they? If one nursing injuries now, interesting to see what develops. As for the Avocas, I have mixed feelings. Happy they have survived their brothers, the ones I know from Sabi, yet sad about their loss still now. Coalition of brothers who made their name known. Clearly the Southerns are tough, healthy brothers. I hope their victim survives, but he was badly beaten, enough that they left him. I wonder if he gets to live out his life. It seems most either form a coalition to survive or disappear, not to be seen again. Such a life until they end 😢 The young male, I hope he finds a place, so hard either young or old to see them lose their lives. Wonder if he was the one sen on the D Damcam, contact calling? That one seemed to be not too bad, some battle scars, but moving well. To imagine, they are all around your house at night. That you see them so close over the river, is a treasure. He's moved areas, so don't often hear of him 😊 but he's dping so well as a single male, as is the S8/Imbalu male. Although hope to see the latter today, he has one young cub atm. Not easy for that little one to keep up with the older ones. Hope your day productive!! ☘️🫶🌟

I can't intervene in saving them, but i can try my best to bring their stories to life. And that's my only goal. And for people like yourself, to enjoy them, although they are sometimes heartbreaking. I believe father Lubeylubey is alone, seeing Stompie and Old S28 on the S25? That's far from him. They traveled some distance. And Stompie was even seen in that video, with 5 cubs around him, so he won't leave them to go back to Lubeylubey. Whic5is rather sad. One is missing though, the younger Hippo pools male. No idea where he is at. It is definitely possible that the young males are his sons. I know he's got many boys out here. If only they could find him somehow. The winter always brings change, almost immediately. It's strange how a season, can change an entire dynamic completely. I really appreciate your kind words Gina. I really do think so Smet. The thing is, he was gone for so long before this attack on him, that the others have seemed to move on. I mean, Stompie and Olds28 on the S25. That's far from their usual home. Just really strange. When i saw the video of male lions drinking opposite our house in the early morning, i was actually shocked to see it's Stompie and Old28. They are not close to him, and he most definitely can't travel that distance alone. It's all just a bit weird currently.

There was two hayenas with bloodied faces seen yesterday afternoon, around the same spot he was last seen. Hoping he had a meal, as i had a feeling yesterday already, that he will find food. These my brother, are the old Makhohlola coalition. Lubeylubey's coalition. But they are spread out so wide, it's almost impossible for them to re-unite. Stompie, the lion with the half tail, and old 28, the male with the beautiful dark mane and white beard, they were seen close to my house. Which is FAR from Lubeylubey. I'm rooting for him, he's strong. Albeit alone, he's strong. 🦁❤️

The thing is my dear friend, some people are made for the cities. And i fully respect that, i was there my entire life. Many of my family and friends are city bound, and will probably always be. It's a massive mind shift, because everything changes. From schools for my kids, to simple grocery shopping, it's far out from where we live. But in life, people like me needs to exist, for others to see stories of wildlife. You know, if that makes any sense at all😁. I need to tell their stories, because there's a handful of people who will take this risk. Although it seems easy, it's actually surprising hard. People criticize me daily for my work, but that's what i chose to do. I knew that was going to happen. I'm learning daily, new things about the dynamics of these lions, as i live amongst them. You het to know which lion it is that's roaring at nights, because of their territory. It's extremely exciting, but it a tough job. And i chose to interact with my audience, many don't ever read their comments at all, nor do they worry. But the more i learn, the more i can teach people about the lives of our lions. And you know Kristie, with people like you, it's easier. It makes sense to what i do and why i do it. You don't truly know just how much i appreciate you. ❤️❤️❤️

You know the lions seem to get to moving when the weather changes no doubt. I know one thing it is always something going on. The lions have such unpredictable lives. You never know what you may see. I'm curious about the Seven Stars is what I called them but they are the 7 Satara males?? Have you heard anything at all on them and wonder where they are? I have not seen anything on them either. I Wonder about a lot of them trying to keep up with them is not so easy. As soon as you think you know what is going on something else takes lead. I hope all of them stay safe and strong. I have had a lot of heartbreak with watching these beautiful boys and girls. I know you as well as others out there know what I'm talking about. That's one reason I try to keep up with them. It's becoming harder and harder to find out much on the ones I used to watch, most have past away or to never be seen again. Thank you for your dedication And hard work that you do!! You know my friend, as a person who's out there with them, i cannot physically get to all the lions myself. It's extremely hard to keep track of what's happening daily. I'm with them, and it's almost impossible. So i understand you sentiment completely my friend. Wish i had more eyes, and one more me😁. Would make it so much easier to bring their stories. Sundays, I usually takes the day, to spend with the kids ect, but while I'm doing that, they don't srop moving. They roam around. And that's why i appreciate people like you on my journey, and to share it with you. Their stories are as complex as you can imagine, and to know everything that's going on is nearly impossible. Is it possible that the Southern Avocas have disturbed the whole territory when they responded back at what the Nkulus did? Could Southern Avocas take over all of this territory or is it too much area?
Different territory - S. Avoca's are much farther south and are only a pair. They are formidable for sure but there will be upcoming coalitions to challenge them.
Luckily Holger, these lions in my video right here, are far from that territory. I'm saying Luckily, because those boys would cause major problems here in the far south. They are extremely strong.
I'm thinking the same as you. Very very possible. The sad thing is, I've only seen them once unfortunately. So it's hard for me to say yes, definitely them. But the possibility, 90%.

You know the lions seem to get to moving when the weather changes no doubt. I know one thing it is always something going on. The lions have such unpredictable lives. You never know what you may see. I'm curious about the Seven Stars is what I called them but they are the 7 Satara males?? Have you heard anything at all on them and wonder where they are? I have not seen anything on them either. I Wonder about a lot of them trying to keep up with them is not so easy. As soon as you think you know what is going on something else takes lead. I hope all of them stay safe and strong. I have had a lot of heartbreak with watching these beautiful boys and girls. I know you as well as others out there know what I'm talking about. That's one reason I try to keep up with them. It's becoming harder and harder to find out much on the ones I used to watch, most have past away or to never be seen again. Thank you for your dedication And hard work that you do!! You know my friend, as a person who's out there with them, i cannot physically get to all the lions myself. It's extremely hard to keep track of what's happening daily. I'm with them, and it's almost impossible. So i understand you sentiment completely my friend. Wish i had more eyes, and one more me😁. Would make it so much easier to bring their stories. Sundays, I usually takes the day, to spend with the kids ect, but while I'm doing that, they don't srop moving. They roam around. And that's why i appreciate people like you on my journey, and to share it with you. Their stories are as complex as you can imagine, and to know everything that's going on is nearly impossible. So I'm with you my friend, 100%.i really appreciate you, more than you think. You've been on my journey from the very beginning, when i was with no knowledge whatsoever. Is it possible that the Southern Avocas have disturbed the whole territory when they responded back at what the Nkulus did? Could Southern Avocas take over all of this territory or is it too much area?
Different territory - S. Avoca's are much farther south and are only a pair. They are formidable for sure but there will be upcoming coalitions to challenge them.
Luckily Holger, these lions in my video right here, are far from that territory. I'm saying Luckily, because those boys would cause major problems here in the far south. They are extremely strong.

Who has fallen
They definitely split up my friend. Stompie and Old S28 male, are here, close to my home. They are FAR from Lubeylubey currently. They've been here for some time now. Don't know of they left him, but it seems like they did. Still no sign of Lubeylubey as yet. Hoping he had something to eat.
