Thank you for taking the time to review your P5. One thing I have to say is that I really love the simplicity of it as it is. I like the idea of them offering all those bells n whistles but I would also like the option of a bare bones model. Seems like every car or motorcycle is so loaded down with features these days. Less is more sort of thing :) Something very refreshing about a new vehicle that's very basic but can get down to business as well as the P5 does...
@ $6,300.00 USD one does expect *MORE !* For this price, there should be *All the proper lighting accoutrements, including headlight with hi-low beam, turn signals, rear light with stop light, horn, full information integrated display, optional seat should also be included.*
I totally agree. The fact that you have to pay MORE MONEY for "upgraded" lights and then it doesn't even have a display of any kind just adds insult to our wallet's injury.
Honestly man, I agree to an extent it should have more features. But turn signals and such would be pointless on a machine not legal for road use. Headlight yes, seat yes. Other crap......well, for what?
Really a very well done review, in fact I watched it twice. Really held my attention. I hope you do more of this type of video with scooters and things like that. I'll check the link and read more about this, but maybe next time you could share more about the battery size as well as how hard it is to remove and replace, and charge times. Just a couple suggestions on an otherwise, very well done video. Keep up the great work.

Hi so I live in a hilly are and I have two 30 percent grades and the rest under 10 percent. I need a scooter that can make it up the hills and is under $800 USD. It needs to last me 3 years at least. And needs to hold at least 200lbs. Also can't be too big and it would be nice if it could fold but doesn't have to. Any recommendations?

I agree with you, Brent, the P5 is the most fun I've had on wheels. It charges in less than three hours and it puts the biggest, cheesiest grin on my face when I ride it. Jellied legs are worth it. Your suggestions were right on the money. More light for night riding is a good idea. Personally, I'd like to see a rack over the rear wheel for a small cooler or tackle box. I have the rain guard back there now. I could see it being modified with a couple of struts attached to the rear axle. Brad could laser cut the whole piece then bend the struts down like tabs. (You listening, Brad?) It's an American Billy Goat to be sure, man. This powerful beast of a machine goes anywhere, and it does it with style and speed. The Ultimate Carving Machine. Nice to see it get a worthy review. Ride safely, meow. Don't crack your coconut!
Do you know if the company offers mud guard customisation ? And a fitted handle at one end so it can be dragged like a trolley. Do shops allow you to bring the scooter with you inside the shop ?
@@jonmaze793 Depends on the shop. Most say no, so I lock it. It's not built for mud..., especially not with the belt drive. It will get stuck. Good news is, if you can walk out, you can carry it with you. I don't ride mine in the mud.
Howdy, I'm still here :) I just met Brent because he is doing great work on RUclips and we decided to work together to get more stuff covered. I may do a review here and there but have my hands full with electricbikereview.com/ (Brent may also post there sometimes) thanks for asking and caring!
You did a great job. I looked at all the comments and it kind of pisses me off how rude people can be. You can say the same thing with out being a asshole. Back to your review. The things you said were issues came across prior to even bringing them up. A credit to the time you put forth in preparation. Coining some comment someone said, I really am an old man of 62. I do like the Dualtron Thunder. But I like this better. Why, because it is simply a custom made tank of a vehicle. I would never go over 20, I would rarely need the front brake. See, we really old guys buy things like Mercedes-Benz AMG SL63’s, and never go over 75. Why, because we can. Thank you again, great review.
Hi. Is there anyone answering support at Works Electric? I have emailed them several times regarding the request for MSDS info, but no luck, ... OR can I ask please any Hollyburn P5 owners here who can help me get a copy of the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet). I need the copy for shipping to another country, thanks! Anyone, please HELP!
Great review. Thanks for that. I agree on the lighting and on-board computer. For $6300 these are not expensive add-ons. The only weakness I see in this ride is the power cord coming out of the side of the pole. Seems like a snag on a rock or low branch could end your day. This should be routed behind the pole or somehow be integrated into the framework entirely. Looks like a blast but the design is not yet fully polished. Also Kudos for building this in the U.S.
The headlights I use are the Bright as Day 5000 www.moonlightmountaingear.com/products/lamps/bright-as-day-5000.html. They're SUPER bright and have an incredible beam pattern. The only downside is they don't have a very good battery readout.
