As a Californian who has mostly swam in chlorinated pools, I had a similar knee-jerk reaction when I first saw your koala video. Very cool to learn it's a fresh water pool (first saw in the koala video description). In any case, it was an amazing video. Good luck with your future endeavors.

I hope you’ll keep them up - watching your kindness towards that sweet little fella really lifted my spirits. 🙂 It’s delightful to hear you speak! I’m just curious: are you Scottish? or is yours an Australian accent I’m not familiar with, maybe specific to Adelaide?
(I have an accent no one can place, having grown up with a U.S. parent and a Latin American one in South America, surrounded by British and Dutch ex-pats and many Commonwealth citizens - I called it my Universal Expat dialect, and it’s tempered now that I’ve lived in the American Midwest for a while, but people here used to constantly ask me where I was from, or else accuse me of affecting some random accent!)

It makes sense that a human or non-human animal who occasionally drinks a small amount of lightly chlorinated water will not be harmed.

That's what I was looking for more videos, I liked her and was hoping to watch more but now it saddens me to hear that Lilly gave up especially over audio I mean she shouldn't gave up at all but of all things audio just record on your phone. Can't say I'm overly concerned re chlorinated water. Michael Jamison's older tiger, Enzo loves it. Given the choice of food or a freshly re-chlorinated pool, Enzo goes for the pool - despite the risk of his pal Diego eating his food!

I do worry about him someday falling into your pool (or someone else's pool), as it may likely happen when no on is there to witness it to immediately render aid. I sure hope that never happens; I'm not too sure how adept koalas are at swimming or at getting themselves out of pools should they ever fall into them. 😟
Hi Lilly I have seen loads of comments saying your terrible bush fires were the result of arson and many more that they were natural and so wild because of the immense heat making everything tinderbox dry, I am in England, which is true please? We have bats in my area that will drink pool water. I remember buying my first home in 1997 and during a bat migration they would drive bomb into the backyard pool to get a drink. Bats are considered pests in my area. It's not uncommon for pest control companies here to get calls for attic bat infestations.
That was probably the most clean and healthy water it has ever drank. If you hurt that koala at all it would just be his feelings for having to go back into the woods and drink that nasty stuff lol

I was wondering about the chlorine at first but after a few seconds you can tell plain as day that koala is in good hands.
Plus I think the likelihood of an incompetent person having a koala is extremely low....I hope?

How old are you?
I'll come clean, scuse the pun, but I don't think you should encourage Mr Koala to drink out if the pool. Maybe he would be better off with natural untreated water like from a stream or a lake. Which may or not be better taking into consideration the pollution levels of such natural beauties is horrendous nowadays. Perhaps then your pool water is okay. Have you tried to drink it, yourself because you are big and he is very small and as he prefers to stick to gum trees maybe, his exquisitely .....exclusive diet might mean he has a delicate digestion system, I don't know. I mean like will it affect his natural good bacteria or anything? I'm just worried incase it is actually bleach, chlorine. Bleach..? I am sure you know what you are doing though.

I hope the koala is alive. That´s all I have to say.
As was ALREADY stated by someone else, and clearly IGNORED...... The Koala drank from your pool. IF the pool had NOT YET had the treating chemicals added to it then the animal drank no more than basic tap water which goes along with your claim.
But.... you are VERY VERY UNCLEAR as to whether or not this is what happened.
AND considering you stated that you were "cleaning the pool" it's not unlikely that the pool has been treated.
If so.... NO the animal shouldn't have drank the pool water.
So....
Simple question which you can choose to answer honestly or not.
And before you answer please understand two things......
Being an animal lover, activist, vegan, etc DOES NOT make you infallible towards animals.
AND......
My next question after you answer would be..... Where is the Koala and have you videoed him lately?
QUESTION: Was your pool already treated (shocked) w/ the needed chemicals prior to the Koala drinking?
