Jazakallah khair brother . Honestly speaking exactly even without watching this video , previously I was almost following the same process and still on going Alhamdullilah
10,000 is amazing MashaAllah . Here in the states a lot of programs are 30k yearly minimum . My school was a private so it was close to 50k a year . I’m trying to go back but I want to do it the right way Inshaallah . Shukran for this video brother ☺️
Another tip would be for individuals to look into scholarships. Most top uni’s have scholarship programs and if you’re academically able, then you could potentially get money taken off from your debt. Do the max!
How do you do that.... I am getting forced to go to university, I want to take a gap year but my family have pressured me. I have no money , And no one will give me uni :(
Was thinking of ending my kids to Pakistan for university in Medicine or dentistry. Cheaper and much smaller costs which I can pay in cash instead of them paying 9K a year in student loan and living expenses which is even more. Would have to move to Pak. Seriously looking at it.
I am going to be biased as I worked for one of the best university in England for 5 years. And I employed about 80+ staff. Very few Asian kids wanted to work Unfortunately they just wanted to have fun and not work. There were some hard working kids too.and the ones approached me or came for the interview they were sure to get jobs.
Didnt watch the video yet, .... I think university is only needed for medicine, dentistry, law and engineering and a few others. Rest , why not do an apprenticeship or vocational qualification and get straight into work and do a further professional technical qualification at same time. save yourself £30k+ student debt. No point.
Assalamu Alaikum brother. I’ve a question, If I come from another country ,then I’ve to pay off my rent and also for my food then what I can do?I mean what an international student can do in this situation?
Unfortunately I’m already in my third year with my student loan racking up to £28k. Islamically, should I work at paying this off straight away or pay the minimum amount, knowing that it may be unlikely that I will need to pay it all off eventually?
Yes but I believe it depends on the university. University of Nottingham allows you to pay your fees in 3 installments (25% 25% and then 50% of the fee)
There is enough time to study. Honestly depending on what you are studying some full time courses don’t even have 5 days of lectures any more in universities which in my book isn’t full time
@@emadbarday5474 what about unis like Oxford and Cambridge where they highly recommend you don't work because of how much extra work you need to put im
Stupid question - if muslim students keep on working both before going to collage and while going to collage, when will they study? Getting into a good collage is not a cakewalk; it takes time, effort, and dedication. While non-muslim students are preparing for getting into good collages, our ulema want our kids to be working to earn their tutuion - this is just stupid and completely impractical approach that will ensure that our students always stay behind non-muslim students. Similarly, if Muslim students keep working through collage while other students are studying, won't Muslim students not lag behind non-muslim students? These are practical matters, but our ulema want to give advice that is impractical and detrimental to Muslim ummah as a whole. Why can't our ulema come up with simpler and practical solutions? Muslim ummah needs reform, and one one the big steps in this reform process is shunning of such mullah's who don't know what they are talking about.
I get where your coming from but as a Muslim, making a small sacrifice to be safe from such a big haraam is so worth it. I'm going to university too and took a gap year myself and earned at least 2 years worth if fee in one year. So if someone is ABSOLUTELY determined to stay on halal and makes the intention for it, its not ridiculous and can work out in the end inshallah and so the advise in this video is still somewhat reasonable.
Firstly there are many non Muslim students who don’t pay their loan yet still work so that point is invalid , secondly if your mindset was more determined to avoiding the haram you would know it is possible it’s just hard work which isn’t a bad thing. Lastly if your intention is pure you would be surprised with how Allah opens doors for you making it easier E.g. in studying or opening funds for you where you didn’t expect.
@@yasminouni7993 The point that I am making is independent of how many non-muslim students work while studying in collage. Not sure why you would bring it up? My point is very simple - it is not easy to get into "good collages", and it is practically impossible to get into these highly competitive collages if you are not giving your 100%. The chances of Muslim students getting a seat in these collages is very slim if they spend their time accumulating money to pay for tuition. Do note that while Muslim students will be working, non-Muslim students will be studying and preparing to get into these collages - thereby increasing their chances of getting admission. Same applies once you are in collage, it is a very competitive world. While Muslim students will be working for tuition, non-Muslims will be studying and getting ahead of our Muslim brethren. It is not a question of hard work, everyone works hard, irrespective of their religion. It is a problem of having only 24 hours in a day...one can either work for tuition or one can study; no one can do both at the same time. It is because of such silly advice from these mullah's that our community is so backward; you don't have to believe me just find out how many Muslim students got a seat in any ivy league collage last year (Yale, Harvard, MIT, Stanford...just take a pick).
@@saimak9974 one year tuition for Harvard MBA is $74K, same for Yale medicine is $64K, same for Wharton MBA is $84K. Please note that this is just tuition fees, other living expenses will go on top of the tuition. Pray tell me how can any Muslim student earn his/her tuition fees + living expenses by doing odd jobs? Or are you saying that Muslim students should not aim this high, they should just be satisfied by going to third rate cheaper collages? These worthless mullahs, who have no understanding of how the world works, would just say that "why aim this high? just learn a trade - become a plumber or a electrician. this is enough to spend your life; afterlife is waiting for you" This is the reason why we are backward, and unless we shun such mullahs we will never move forward.
