Geez, everytime Macy says ''Gonna'' in the chorus, I get so mesmerized.
Why are people saying there's too much auto-tune? Do you even KNOW what auto-tune sounds like? Obviously not, because this cover is not auto-tuned much, if at ALL. I don't know why people insist that someone who is able to sing a song well MUST be using auto-tune. It's fully possible without it, people. Jeez. And take some time to learn what auto-tune actually sounds like, please.

Macy is definitely my favorite of Kurts new collaborations this year. Everything he has done with her, and even her own videos on her channel have been nothing but phenomenal. Her range and vocal control is unreal. Love you Macy!!!! The scenes filmed in LIC were amazing too. Great video Kurt.

Okay, let me be clear. I am HER BIGGEST FAN. Her voice is just amazing and she has that little something in the way she sings that you can hardly find on singers of today. She deffinately needs to be way much more famous and I swear that I'm gonna help as much as I can on that. Macy deserves to be the next big thing.
I think this was another amazing cover from Kurt and the Macy Kate Band.. You can see they're enjoy each second of the video, and that's really nice to see. I think Macy could sing a song that's a little bit slower, just to make her sound more special then it already is. Kurt and the band did a really good job with the music, 'cause it could be real hard to play an instrument.. Good job guys, and an awesome cover.

Great singer but Katy Perry still takes it for this one. She's just got that power you know? Still a great cover! Macy Kate sounds like Miley Cyrus when you don't watch the video and listen.
She reminds me of a mix between Christina Aguilera and Miley.

A cover isn't about outdoing the original artist. It's about coving a song you like or a song you want to spin your own interpretation on.

Fantastic singer. I especially love the way she manipulates her voice.
However, I have to admit I wasn't feeling it. It might be the chorus that was killing it for me. I do prefer Katy Perry's version just because it seems to have more power. Great singer, but I don't think this is her song. At least not in my opinion, which... what do I know? :P
Maybe Jar of Hearts? Or some other cover with a lighter tone.

Kurt, I thought this was a good enough job to hit the like button, but honestly, I thought Alex G's cover was better, not necessarily because the vocals were better, but because it covered a broader dynamic range with rise and fall throughout the song. Here it was all build, which isn't a bad thing, but my personal opinion is that the shifting of dynamics makes a song more interesting.
She's trying to sell her body more than her voice or the song!

She's wearing a LOT more than Katy Perry does in her videos, and actually, this has better dynamics than the original, but I still prefer Alex G's cover. I liked the arpeggio on the Roar, though. Best part of the song.
