@@joewehner9837great tune! Always makes me think of Happy Gilmore! Haha...so I listened thru and interestingly the bassist intersperses the rhythm from ex. 4 👆 every once in a while and it sounds really hip
Ugh. We played Everybody Wants To Rule The World recently and it feels so good! Pretty simple but persistent bass part, however, the magic is in the note length 🤩 Get that right and you’re groovin’!
@@stephenboutwell1012 yeah man it's my "desert island" song. Incredible groove, great vocal melody. And the accents on the hi hat (see the last playing example in the lesson 👆) for me make the song. Any gig playing that tune is a good gig! And yeah...note length is as important as where the note starts!
Great lesson, plus it looks like you are having fun. I realized that I only practice in 4/4, so I will add it to my practice routine. I really like the backing track, do you have a link?
Favorite triple meter tunes? Two of my favs are Everybody Wants To Rule The World, and Alice In Wonderland (the Bill Evans version)
If I remember correctly, Tuesday's Gone is 6/8
