Technically overlocking stiches are different but they have the same purpose but the difference is that it doesn't cut the fabring like surging. Its usually done when people don't have a surger and do that with their sewing machine.
Please please PLEASE DO PATTERN TUTORIALS!!!! You just gave me my first pants epiphany i didnt understand the crotch shape of the pants in a pattern but you just explained it to me so quickly through drawing that id actually be able to free pattern and sew if you taught me 😂🥹
warning the zipper thing yea its a sht product if it breaks but you still broke it, so in most places you will still have to pay for it its a good test for quality, one a company making zippers should do at the end of the production process but if you do it in a store it can get you into a lot of trouble check local laws before taking internet advice
I cant say i care that much about fashion, but i just love people nerding out, regardless of subject.
8:00 The English name for that machine is a serger, and I believe the stitch is called an overlock stitch.
i kinda miss michi being like this. she looks really cool when explaining things that she knows best. i love her for this.

Fake pocket most annoying products all time
Very interesting information actually
Thank you for feeding my fashion obsession! Now this got me checking the stitching on my pricier pieces
I have shorts that I thought had "fake" pockets, but no, they were just sewn shut
that finishing thing is called a serge stitch! it's made with a specialized serging machine that cuts off the extra
2:26 "is this utah" in chat is crazy
Always cool to listen to ppl talk about their specialties
Love to hear a fellow fashion enthusiast speak their truth!!
I'm so glad to listen to michi's expertise. I wonder if she ever uses bias tape for hemming
I wear womens pants because for some reason they are the only ones that fit me. (Skinny and tall male)
Yeah I have to order pants online since stores never have my long skinny ass size

I feel like I'm the only person who buys a jacket one size smaller coz it hides my sunken chest better.
"here's what to look for when you buy clothes"
Glad to know, shame I have to buy everything online. Nothing in stores ever fits me
4xl jackets are tight on me.....
Michi talking about fashion sounds so smart... I don't like it.
It's her field...sometime knowledge girl attractive 😊
@zhuljojo oh yeah, it was a joke. But its quite the surprise to see her talking about stuff without saying she is a girlfailure or something
Probably because she IS smart when it comes to it.
I know the post is a joke, but fashion is unironically the only thing Michi isn't a failure at, lmao
@AUM_-po9sc not True. She is also very good At self deprecation
