I agree!! I've only seen them at night, but the music and show translate better when its dark. Then again I'll see them anytime I can! I am 50 years old and haven't been this excited about a band since I was 12 getting into KISS! To all past and present members of GHOST,,,,,,,,,THANK YOU! You guys ROCK!
i think you might be in the wrong music corner then if you are looking for bands that sound as good of not better than on the album, there is a fuckton of them,
I just realized how much different Tobias sings when he's in character as Papa and when he's in character as Cardinal,it's subtle differences but you can hear them
All of the Ghost players have been excellent. But I'm very pleased by what I see of this group. The drummer is nailing it and Papa is singing better than ever. Ghost is a little more aggressive now.
This makes me so nostalgic, a week after this show they came to my city where I got to see them and hear their music for the first time, without any background knowledge of their act at all Era III will always have a special place in my heart
A Memer tobias was not the visionary it was the nameless ghouls please reasearch and watch interview it is all explained there tobies wrote only the melody of the vocals. The ghouls wrote the lyrics and music.
Ken Darling You are so wrong man, it was tobias who wrote everything but the drums and keyboards. everything else was tobias. the ghouls were just paid musicians
sonnic1995 I second that exodus was turned down to almost nothing then kamelot was a shit load of mistakes with the sound but ghost and iron maiden were great i was lucky to get pit passes
MaidenNativeAmerica I went to this very concert to see Maiden, had heard of Ghost but never listened to them, and ended up totally digging their show :) theyre fun
Oh damn, that must have been miserable for the fans and bands alike. I've been to a show that was in the high 90s at night and I could barely stand after a while. Can't imagine what it must be like when it's hotter and for the performers.
I saw Maiden in PA in 2012 (and again this year) and it was about that too, somewhere around 103-110. Bruce wrung out his shirt and it looked like a water bottle lol. It's somewhere on YT, 6/29/12 was the date.
i saw them on this tour a few days ago and i absolutely loved them! one of the tightest and in sync live bands ive ever seen. cant wait to see them even more
Seen them live a few days later in St. Louis opening for Maiden. GREAT show and GREAT sound! New favorite band! (besides Maiden that is). Buying their CDs for sure!
I went into this last maiden show ( my third) expecting ghost to be kind of shitty and skipable, boy was i wrong, im diggin on it. Im glad maiden brought ghost out with them
Ghost and Iron Maiden in So.Cal.?! Yeah I'm jealous! Wish that tour was on its way to Portland,Oregon! Thanks to Real Concert King! Outstanding footage as usual. Looks like a helluva show!
Lizardgun1 I saw Ghost and Maiden here in Dallas last week. Maiden has been my alltime favorite band since the early 80s but I can honestly say that although I knew Ghost was the opening act, I preferred that it had been the other way around. As short as their set was, I enjoyed Ghost more. Maiden wasn't any LESS awesome than ever and I loved them (with the exception of Janick) just as much as ever.....its just that Ghost was ...."more". Here's to you getting a chance to seeing them sometime bro!
I had heard Ghost playing over the comms at the end of a Diamond Head show last fall at the Whiskey ( at least I think it was last Fall, might have been Jan. idk). Anyhow this show was the first time I had heard Square Hammer and I was completely blown away. Thanks for posting this!
If you're who I think I saw you were very close to where I was. And not to be a total lame. But I was so tempted to introduce myself and buy you a drink but I saw you with a group of people.
i was like 3rd-ish row in the pit at the bottom right (obviously you can't see me) and holy shit, it was such a trip being feet away from Papa Emeritus.
I'm just recently gotten into ghost and their seriously such a fuckin badass band they remind of that old school 70s shock rock type band but they can shred the 2 ghouls on guitar have some serious talent tobias forge is a really good front man as well if they come near my area I'd totally see them
Is that Megan Thomas on bass in this show? Man, these guys were on fire. I saw them in March this year and they were phenomenal, and 5 years earlier they were just as good...just different.
@@SteveOuimette The keyboard player here has left along with lead guitar. But the drummer and rhythm guitarist are still the same. They’ve added another 4 backing members.
@@Tyler_Pifer92 Very interesting. After seeing the reveal of the new members in that post-tour pic that circulated I'm starting to get an idea of all of the musicians. Saw them twice this year and they're a tight, tight band.
MrCapone1996 Must be some loser kids. This band is not mosh worthy. This band is stunning worth sitting and watch and enjoy the amazing performance type of band!
Ghost should never play before sundown.
Maiden should have waited lol
I'm 52 and right there with you, brother! Best band I've seen in a LONG time!
They must of been sweating up a storm wearing those costumes .
1620 AM RADIO RED HORSE RADIO It Was WAY more cooler when they got on so it probably wasnt as bad
One of the few groups in recent times that sound as good live as they do on album.
They sound better live...
i think you might be in the wrong music corner then if you are looking for bands that sound as good of not better than on the album, there is a fuckton of them,
Ditto
Steve McKnelly I would suggest a shine down show then. Quite amazing maybe even better then the album
Why is it that this exact comment is posted on every single live performance of every band/group/artist in existence?
I just realized how much different Tobias sings when he's in character as Papa and when he's in character as Cardinal,it's subtle differences but you can hear them
I love this bass player so much
I was wondering if I was gonna see this comment. Bassist are amazing and this one just loves doing what he does and it’s great to watch
@@just_another_2133 he is now their white guitar player.
@@stuarttayler2411 I'm happy he's been around since this show he's amazing

All of the Ghost players have been excellent. But I'm very pleased by what I see of this group. The drummer is nailing it and Papa is singing better than ever. Ghost is a little more aggressive now.
Gary Weisel now they are more... Dancy lately.
@@xshadowscreamx yeah current ghost seems more like a musical theater act but their music still kicks ass
My favorite New band...And I'm 60
Iron Maiden made a wise pick last year. These guys blew my mind.
5:28-5:29...epic shot. Rock n roll is so awesome.
This makes me so nostalgic, a week after this show they came to my city where I got to see them and hear their music for the first time, without any background knowledge of their act at all
Era III will always have a special place in my heart
this band has a lot more energy than previous band members.
A Memer tobias was not the visionary it was the nameless ghouls please reasearch and watch interview it is all explained there tobies wrote only the melody of the vocals. The ghouls wrote the lyrics and music.
Sorry wrong commebt thread:p
when the new members joined, the cult thing with Ghost was completely removed because of how "rockstar" /energetic they moved around on stage
Ken Darling You are so wrong man, it was tobias who wrote everything but the drums and keyboards. everything else was tobias. the ghouls were just paid musicians
no, plain and simple my friend
A shame it was during the day, that stage is meant to be lit at night. Cool performance, however.
at least they got an almost perfect sound... previous bands (Exodus and kamelot) had a lot of sound problems... ghost was amazing!
sonnic1995 I second that exodus was turned down to almost nothing then kamelot was a shit load of mistakes with the sound but ghost and iron maiden were great i was lucky to get pit passes
There was quite an effect in the T-Mobile arena on July 3. ;)
ManekiNeko1972 i almost went to that show what happened there
pretty much the same thing but the fact it was indoors gave us the dark ambiance that you wanted.
These guys were amazing! I was surprised how good these guys played. Would definitely buy their albums!
MaidenNativeAmerica I went to this very concert to see Maiden, had heard of Ghost but never listened to them, and ended up totally digging their show :) theyre fun
MaidenNativeAmerica They did great that day, I say they did second best that day, there was also a lot of audio problems for Exodus and Kamelot :/
I was at this show Maiden BLEW..Exudos stole the show and Kamelot put 20.000 people to sleep.
Eric Nyenhuis exedous was ok...
Eric Nyenhuis Kamelot Had WAY Too many technical problems and just didnt perform that well. while exodus had 2 or 3 circle pits going
Why do I keep getting excited for this group every time I hear them. Ahh Papa Emeritus iii my beloved dark angel
This song gives me the chills sometimes listening to it
The pope looks great for his age.
He's 36
ivaneitor
Went right over your head
He’s 3 months younger than papa II
They're so good live, it's awesome. They all have an amazing stage presence
The energy from the new ghouls really shows showmanship! I love it!
Saw the show last in SLC UT....105dg outside. My heart goes out the band wearing these costumes. Great show.

These 2 songs back to back did it for me!! Hooked on Ghost!
Square Hammer starts at 2:19

Awesome! Love that intro too, from the Eyes Wide Shut soundtrack 😁
I see a lot of people praising the drummer,(there's no doubt he's great), but.....the. bassist is KILLIN' IT!! AWESOME JOB!!

I was there watching from the pit 😄🤘🏼
All of these ghouls are goated 🐐, not sure if they’re all still in the band, but their energy was unmatched.
Ghosts bassist has to be one of my favorites ever it would be awesome.e to James with him
That intro is worth the wait !
Great band and show!!
Great post. I saw them at the Oakland show on 7/5 without having had heard them before. Loved it.
I really enjoy this tune! \m/

Amazing absolutely amazing. Was there in the pit
came for the ghost stayed for the maiden
The drummer must sold his soul to the devil and received in return strength, during the video I feared he would break up the drum set :D
Similar to Dave Grohl in style....
Got a lesson from that guy a while back. amazing human being and superb musician. Im so happy he is now in my favorite band.
Their previous drummer was the same, in the Year Zero @ Argentina he smashes them as well. I hope it hangs around, reminds me Igor Cavalera.
Half-Beard there’s a very good reason why his style looks like Dave Grohl 😉
Moe Syzlak You mean Dave Ghoul!! 👻😏
Just saw them in SLC Utah!!! Holy shit they are amazing!! ROCK ON!
Saw them couple of weeks ago, with Maiden of course. Both kicked ass.
this show was amazing.
Great show, as long as you were far from the lawn fire!
I think I saw you there. Were you wearing a black skirt and top with boots?
Indeedily

I'm just happy I live down the street and I can hear every performance from Glen Helen and I was happy ghost was on during the day hahah
I saw them live a few months back and i was blown away by the drummer. He is a fuckin monster behind the kit.

Glam Rock at its finest! A lot of melody with a TON of punch, kicking maximum ass! KISS mixed with Alice Cooper.

I was surprised to see a pit at the lawn for Ghost
MrCapone1996 I think those guys would have moshed to Barry Manilow🤣
