Appreciate your videos once again. I decided to paint my trim too. I had issues getting the door panel off and loosened a screw that I wasn’t supposed to. I managed to get it off by taking the outside lever off. But now the mechanism is all messed up because I removed one of the inner screws with the lock nuts. Now I can’t figure how to get it back the correct way. Maybe I can find a diagram or something. It is pretty complicated for what it is.

Man! Your videos are great! I am missing a couple pieces that I would not have known about. Those little vent thingies attached to the bench piece are completely missing on my Cherokee. There was just a couple of screws and small broken pieces of plastic. Now I'm just trying to find them. Not so good at it though. Any ideas of what they could be called or where to look for them? Hitting a lot of dead ends.. Maybe I'll talk to my A&P about what to do there..
*Also did you glue the rug directly to the wood using the Airtex cement (without the soundproofing)?

Yes I glued directly to the wood on that seat bench. Don’t know how critical those vent covers are. They are more for air exiting than entering from the look of it. They vent the cabin to under the bench where you’ll probably notice a large vent hole in the bottom of the fuselage. If you can’t find them, I would just let the carpet overhang the side cutouts in the bench where the vent covers go. That way no one sees the holes, but air can still flow out.

Hey Bob - any hints on how you got the 4 eyeball air vents out from the headliner? If there a cap to be pried off? If so, then mine are incredibly stubborn! Mine are brittle and I'll be replacing them. See time 8:24 in this video.

The vents have a metal ring/cover. They snap on over the underlying structure that is screwed into the vent holes. Just used a small screwdriver or plastic trim pry bar to gently pry one edge up and kind of work around the edge until it just pops off.
