Made it back to SD 2 weeks ago from Texas for a little pheasant hunting at your neighbor Paul’s. Saw y’all building this fence that day. Wanted to stop and say hello but looked like Brian had you hard at work. Couple trips to Wermers Lounge for a walleye plate and the trip was a success.

I bet there was a point this summer when you didn't think you would be able to get extra cattle to feed this winter. It was amazing how the land provided with such minimal water. Praise God!

Sorry it took a day to watch, It's been busy with an stat MRI today and rush surgery tomorrow for Quadriceps surgery tomorrow morning. I will be reliving your past videos of pain.

Would love to hear about where your cattle go after leaving the feedlot. Living out west there are talks of ranchers forming there own co-op packing facilities, trying to get fair prices back in the producers hands.

Just googled the song of the day video when they played in Russia in '91. The sea of people seems as if every citizen of Russia attended it and I was actually surprised to see the helicopter flying over the crowd. Don’t remember if I commented this on the last video where you moved cattle down the road so I’ll comment again. We used to do that occasionally when we had to move cattle down the road and it was close enough and/or too many cattle to move by trailer, 3-4 trailers depending on the day, and we did it all on horseback. Miss those days but I’m not mad we shut down our feedlot after a real bad drought.

yep - one of the things I learned while working a dairy farm one summer ... never walk behind or stand behind a coughing cow. If their O-ring goes while you're back there, well ... it ain't pretty.

Good to see you getting the fence jobs done while it's nice out. Went to Sioux Falls today to see my orthopedic doctor and the cattle yards were filled up with calves even yards that have been empty the last couple years were even filled up all the way up to Sioux Falls and back. I think your dad is going to fill the cattle yards up so you have something to do this winter so he can go back on vacation. Hope the Sonne family has a great Thanksgiving day and lots of family time. Wouldn't be nice if the weather stayed like this and your calves put lots of weight on before you sell them. Seems like there's always fences to fix or build.

The Sonne team builds a really good fence. You two have a system down pat that is for sure. You have the right equipment and great team work. Nice fence if you ask me. The only thing I question is the two vise crips to hold the pin fit the wire roll. If it works then don’t question it, will I be quiet about that-ha!!! Oh well.
My compliments to Cole and Brian on the excellent herdsmen they are. They take super care care of their herd and make sure they are healthy. Appreciate your care of your herd. It shows.

Fencing never ends lol. I used to cut and put wood post for my braces but they rot out quick. I started putting metal pipe between them last a lifetime
