not all dragsters are top fuel some people bracket race with them because they are light these means you don't need as much horse power as a full body car that also means its easier on the wallet
Sorry I've driven Super Comp dragsters for 17 years and have run off the throttle stop 7.70 @ 177 mph. No way was that dragster running full out off the stop. Even on the stop running 8.90 he should have beat that sled. 129mph on that sled would maybe put you in the 9sec range. Totally fake video
Help me out, here, dragster drivers. I'm wondering what affect the cold temperatures had on the stickiness of the pavement and the slicks. Plus, did the driver burn in his slicks? Traction may have been a considerable factor here. The snowmobile had a lot more rubber on the ground. The dragster may have had to baby the throttle to maintain traction.

I also doubt that sled got going any more than 120, after re-gearing and everything you can't expect the speedometer reading he got to even be in the ballpark of what it was really doing.
@sergeantblackman There are many different classes of dragsters. Yes, a top fuel dragster can hit a top speed of 300mph. But this was most certainly not on of those.

the owner of the car said during his interview that it was a 7 sec. car, then hauck says that he has a race with a 10 sec car. yeah the car clearly didn't have to try to hard it was capable of being 3 secs faster
Im guessing most of you have never ridden a 4 stroke yamaha. They maybe heavier then 4 strokes, but they have a lot of torque and this is a drag race not a crosscountry race so the weight isnt that big of a deal.
The dragster was clearly throttle stopped, I know that track is up in the altitude but the dragster was clearly throttle stopped. He said it usually goes 168 mph, that should be atleast low 8's may be high 7's. Gil
