Holy shit, the first youtube video i watched! Time flies😂
how you sure this was yours first.. I don't even remember my first
Had civic hatch 2002 year made, it was my first car, and i love it. So dynamic, comfortable, pretty and compact.
My father owned one of these for 18 years... Never broke down a single time and engine would always start effortlessly on a single key turn. Even on the day iit was sold, not a single problem with it, still in 100% working order. It was an epitome of reliability.
EM1 Civic (the last year of the 96-2000 model) was the best car Honda ever made. Extremely reliable, amazing fuel economy and if you can get your hands on an Si, theyre pretty fun sporty like cars.
Marty: doc all the good stuff is made in japan
doc brown: unbelievable
my Rover 416 comes with d16 engine! holy shit!
Because its made by Honda
Ikr I never knew lol
Yes for a while rover was made by honda. Its the same as opel making vauxhall
It's not the same as the badge engineering between GM's European brands (Opel, Vauxhall). Rover and Honda were in a partnership to mutually benefit and learn from each other in the '80s and '90s. Rovers weren't manufactured by Honda. The 200 and 400 lines were built on platforms co-developed between the two companies. The Japanese sister cars being the Ballade, Concerto and Domani.
You could have a Rover 1.4/1.6, a Honda 1.6 or Peugeot diesel engine 200/400.
RoobehTunes rover is to honda what vauxhall is to opel simples
I still have the same car 96 vti recently swapped it's Engine with D17 ...Awesome Car
I had one and it was incredibly fun to drive. Worked well till the day the rust claimed it. I still have the ignition key on my keyring as memento.
Such good cars, such ruined by ricers
What's so nice about this car is how practical it is.
I was scrolling through comments to try remember where show I saw that guy from , then i saw the cross and realised its one of Actor's from Vicar of Dibley 🙂
The power of dreams

I love what you do for me.
@EnricoAwsome YE BOI
@@hairglowingkyle4572 VTEC KICKS BUT SHINGO IS IN THE 5 DOOR CIVIC
Earth dreams*
Is no one gonna talk about how smoothly it rode away? Car makers today have to add a literal fake sound
Just bought a 97 ex coupe. completely stock. best car ever.
I just sold one of those early this year. Automatic, but a 90s Honda in good shape so great anyway. VTEC, sway bar, shorter gearing, and a moonroof were nice bonuses (thank you EX trim). Still miss it. Enjoy it buddy
@@nthgth thanks will do. This will be by 10th Honda Civic. Been building them for years. This one will stay stock.
This civic with 1.8 VTEC is just phenomenal
How did you know?
RUclips from no where but he still know I love civic
I still drive my 97 Honda Civic manual everything car. AC is toast, but just roll down the window.
Walmart has AC units on sale, and you can get a big power inverter at Harbor Freight. You don't _really_ need that back window, do you?
Except it also comes across like they're trying to say they're built from recycled cars.
Ah yes. The Civic MB. The classiest version of the 6th generation that we never got in the US. Trying to import an MB dash for my EJ
Sounds interesting, I dont like the idea of LHD. But nonetheless, wouldn't it be cool to convert an entire accord to a rover?
@@numberpirate There were LHD MB's sold in other parts of Europe. As well as the Civic MC's. Although the Rover was RHD due to being exclusive to the UK, the dashboard is shared across the line for European models.
I was planning on importing the dashboard since it should be a direct swap and bolt right up, and it's far classier than the US and Japanese counterparts.
@@numberpirate LHD>RHD
Its 25 years old now. You can import the whole car
@@scootersonlyrepair6773 Very true. But I really love the EJ coupe. I just wish it had the nice interior the Rover 400 had, and I wouldn't want to import an entire car just to gut it. Importing an Aerodeck though... might just be worth it since Orthia's are rare.
So you're telling me CGI was better in 1996 than what Marvel can afford now?
They built these cars well.
They literally don't make cars this good anymore
He's basically saying "go fast, test how it does in a crash."
"built to last"... that's what made these cars good. Now they sell you a car with subscription services and wait when you will buy another one in two years. Sustainability? I doubt
If only the safety part were true. 90's Hondas are about as safe as an aluminum soda can.
Best machinery in the world, I love Honda, never had any thing else, years and years of trouble free, and my ❤️ affair all started with a Honda 50 when I was 16, now it’s nearly time to hand in my licence but hell ! I had a blast ❤️
the tool for banger racing 👌
Those damn engines were solid
I saw a prefect stock civic ex today. I am jealous
I love 90s cars so much, the look so much better then any modern blob
Sad thing is i still can't afford this to buy even in 2021.
It's like dream come true for me.
By the way i am an engineer
cause you are from india
Can't believe it was on 1996
They never make ads like this anymore
Amazing production for 1996
The last time a civic was worth getting...
if your refering to compared from then to now yes i agree they now are going to their HYBRID ELECTRIC BS if any of them older ones are good cars to have
Nah, the last good Civic was the FK/FN (2005-2011)
Back in the day when company adverts were factual about their products.
0:34 Thank you Honda to give us the most coolest thing car guys ever got!
The VTEC
very impressive that the fella managed to speak backwards for the whole advert
V-TEC NEVER DIES YO
I owned the '96 EK9 civic. Without a doubt still the best car I've ever owned. Bulletproof
TENET be looking different from here
Best comment I've seen on this video
This is so simple yet so awesome and honest !
What a weird looking civic
It's pretty much a UK Rover car with Vtec in it. Honda bought Rover and started making crossbreed Civics in their plants
oh
Jeremy Hill Are you American or do you live in America?
its basically a rebadged honda domani.
Some Domani's are awd and have a rear end of a 2000 north american accord. A mini version.
車を元戻すというのわ1番いいことです!!
I have this car and it reccomends me this. U must watching me RUclips.
Man the ad was on next level
What a great commercial
The early 90's civics are indestructible, at a previous job we had a 1990 civic that was chopped up and turned into a pickup truck. it worked every day for 20 years without an oil change and the only thing that ever broke while I wad there was a fuel pump relay.
0:34 vtec
gotta 95 civic and love it
Well, most of these still run perfect.
In case your wondering lots of these are still running today.
Can we all agree that Honda makes the best car commercials?
as a japanese car fan, one might easily think I might be biased, but in my opinion old french car commercials were the most creative of all. 90s french car ads had humour and meaning
That`s a really memorable commercial, they don't make em like they used to!
isnt this a domani?
*So this is how Honda made Civics*
Who uncrushed the civic
