i like oat groats, i 1st saw u cook them, even better than brown rice. I am down to 97 lbs lost, 3 left to go, to my 100 lb goal, 33 3/4 months tomorrow, 68 1/2 yrs old & feel 40 ish !! I just got this machine yesterday. I made some almond butter, it came out super creamy. However, I messed up and added maple syrup and it seized up. I was able to process more to smooth it out and it’s still soft this morning. Im looking forward to making all kinds of plant milks and other delicious things and keeping containers out of the landfill. I hope you make many more videos using this machine.
How much water did you soak the 1 cup of oat groats in ? And after two hours of soaking, you just dumped the whole thing into the machine? Or did you drain and/or rinse?
QUESTION: Which model do you have? The more expensive model (smoothie pack) includes a separate container for making nut butter. Is that the one or the regular Nutramilk Nut Processor? Thanks, Chef AJ!!!
This looks delicious It's really too bad that the Nutramilk coupon doesn't work outside the US. They should know that Chef AJ is international. I love that she does this series. Really inspirational woman.
The only reason I buy plant milk at the store rather than make my own is to get my calcium as I have osteoporosis. I DO eat several servings of greens (like broccoli, kale, cauliflower, spinach...) and a couple servings of beans daily,. but not sure it is enough without a plant based milk with 400mg calcium per serving. Thoughts? Home made plant milk has very little calcium.
Chef AJ, you should check out Azure Standard. I buy in bulk from them and they deliver. I get a 25lb bag of organic oat groats for $27. I also find lots of other dry beans and grains from them :)
Ok New subscriber, trying to get. my diet on track, I have digestive problems and can not eat gluten. And its getting where I can hardly eat anything with out a reaction. I just got green powder and was going to do that for about 2 weeks. Can You do a episode for shopping, food for gluten free eating. I have a lot of protein in my body that I need to get rid of and high cholestrol . Be Bless and Thanks.
