A restoration project for the winter: fix the bars on that rake!
Great video Phil, that was a long day of silage. I like your set up with ice cream and all the different things that you and Liv have going very clean and net you all do well.
Work and stress doesn’t get any harder than in farming, thank god some can do it or we would all starve, thank you Phil and family.
Wouldn't agree at all. There are far more stressful professions than farming.
Over stocked and understaffed is a different issue

Cattle are looking great guys 👏👏
Hi phill and Liz. Home from America going to your shop not sure when and would love to meet farmer Phil But know that is impossible we love Liz more anyway. Hopefully we get to the sunflower patch and I wouldn’t mind having a chat with father Phil as I think we are the same age only difference is I went to America 30 years ago. I’m from Cavan. Not far from Wilton’s
They say 3-4 weeks for silage after Hurler so you've got it right there - but you'd always have a bit of a concern when they say that you still have to be careful of using the dung that long after. These sprays are unavoidable on some land, but Jaysus they're horrible things
Happy to see you back postin videos again mate!
I can’t believe the amount of rain you’ve been getting since May Phil, cattle looking good , thinking you could do with a day off👍🍻
Im not a farner but i used to do contracting im amazed how u and Liv and father Phill keep track on fields! Especially when u mentioned about d spray! 👍
Great video. Another long day… great variety from early morning to last out of the customer’s yard with the shovel. Hope the Tullamore Show went well for you, thankfully the weather stayed dry. Keep up the good work.
Please Don't sell your surplus forage and straw. Keep a buffer just in case we get a bad winter or a late spring.
Love to hear about what your doing.
Brilliant video phill we’ve just finished our silaging on Friday then it rained all day when we sheeted it
Best of luck with everything on the farm there now & thanks for all the videos 👍👍
"Rowling the be-Jeasus outta it" that's your next t-shirt there with a picture of the Vanneri on the pit!
No rest for the weary Phil, you'll get plenty of rest when the winter shows its nasty face
Nothing like a 7am icecream
Oh man Phil you need to buy an ice cream van I can see you and Father Phil driving around longford in the evening selling cones I would be no good I would eat as much as I sold😂
Some job on the pit there phil
Looking good fer sure .
Great video Phil. Busy busy. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼👍🏼
Spray the rushes with quarter rate alley in September ! It’s the cheapest and it really works.
Quarter rate wat ???
Hi farmer Phil that was a great job with the sliage video today great job 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Good video lads, another long shift
Respectfully, Farmer Phil, you need more sleep. You don't look well.
This is the life of a farmer, one rarely ever gets enough sleep/rest.
I would agree .. he looks beyond his years
@@Ham68229a farmer doesn’t do them hours it’s the contracting that’s the mad hours totally agree that he needs sleep the poor crature badly needs it
@@Johnnycambell then obviously you ain't no farmer. During harvest times, lucky to get 2-3 hrs sleep. Harvest can be grass and or grain. When it's time, it's always a race against weather.
It's easy be a busy fool
is it not forefront t that affect root crops.
it will ..........but there are others also I bet
Francis got the engine into the JCB Phillip it’s going well.

Your fencein is woefully you need fence your fields it takes touch time out of your day hunting cattle
What breed is the black rooster ?

Restore a car next massive audience for cars out there
If the spray effects the next crop after going through the cattle whats it doing to the meat and ourselved ateing it ?
You won't be told anything on that subject, like many internal food and chemical issues, its not or won't be publicised in the interests of money. Of course the effects are atrocious like roundup burning off cereals and potatoes. Then people complain about cancer incidence and other health issues.
@@oliver69cork46
Definitely agree has to be a link to cancer more common nowadays and what crops get sprayed off with roundup these days surely ,
@@patrickkelly1055 roundup is proven beyond any doubt in cancer rates, high use more prostate etc. But with research restricted, agriculture éducation indoctrinated to chemical use, those who see and farmers who use these wont ever listen no matter what conséquence. Irelands green and healthy food image-its a joke when this is permitted
@@oliver69cork46 yes the farmers are stuck on it now, both sprays and fertiliser and all the detergent in dairy. All goes back to the food some way. They can't get away from it, they think it's the bees knees until it kills them
