      Wouldn't agree at all. There are far more stressful professions than farming.
      Over stocked and understaffed is a different issue

    Hi phill and Liz. Home from America going to your shop not sure when and would love to meet farmer Phil But know that is impossible we love Liz more anyway. Hopefully we get to the sunflower patch and I wouldn’t mind having a chat with father Phil as I think we are the same age only difference is I went to America 30 years ago. I’m from Cavan.     They say 3-4 weeks for silage after Hurler so you've got it right there - but you'd always have a bit of a concern when they say that you still have to be careful of using the dung that long after. These sprays are unavoidable on some land, but Jaysus they're horrible things

    Im not a farner but i used to do contracting im amazed how u and Liv and father Phill keep track on fields! Especially when u mentioned about d spray! 👍

    Great video. Another long day… great variety from early morning to last out of the customer’s yard with the shovel. Hope the Tullamore Show went well for you, thankfully the weather stayed dry. Keep up the good work.

    Please Don't sell your surplus forage and straw. Keep a buffer just in case we get a bad winter or a late spring.

    Spray the rushes with quarter rate alley in September ! It’s the cheapest and it really works.

      @@Johnnycambell then obviously you ain't no farmer. During harvest times, lucky to get 2-3 hrs sleep. Harvest can be grass and or grain. When it's time, it's always a race against weather.

    My half cousins husband beef n sheep farmer commited suicide by hanging he lost a mate that fell off stands in a workshop leaves family n farms

    Phil, at this time of the year could you bale same day as cutting? I did a few weeks ago and I’m hoping they will be fine, they sagged a bit but very little if any effluent

    If the spray effects the next crop after going through the cattle whats it doing to the meat and ourselved ateing it ?

      You won't be told anything on that subject,like many internal food and chemical issues,its not or won't be publicised in the interests of money. Of course the effects are atrocious like roundup burning off cereals and potatoes. Then people complain about cancer incidence and other health issues.

      Definitely agree has to be a link to cancer more common nowadays and what crops get sprayed off with roundup these days surely ,

      @@patrickkelly1055 roundup is proven beyond any doubt in cancer rates,high use more prostate etc. But with research restricted, agriculture éducation indoctrinated to chemical use,those who see and farmers who use these wont ever listen no matter what conséquence. Irelands green and healthy food image-its a joke when this is permitted

      ​@@oliver69cork46 yes the farmers are stuck on it now, both sprays and fertiliser and all the detergent in dairy. All goes back to the food some way. They can't get away from it, they think it's the bees knees until it kills them
