Award winning British actress Letitia Wright was in our studio in 2018 just after the release of the hit blockbuster film Black Panther and shared how at one stage of her career she gave up her greatest passion for a temporary period of time, along with a role in a huge film, to solely pursue Christ.
In her incredibly passionate and inspirational words, she reminds us that obeying Jesus doesn't always make sense but will evidently lead to amazing things, after she came back to acting she landed a role in Black Panther.

When I first gave my life to Christ, something kept telling me to get rid of my secular clothes..Fashion nova, get rid of my makeup, (these things were idols in my life) etc.... I did not listen. And ever since them I have found myself backsliding more than anyone. I have to do that Asap
humility is the key; it's not so much that all make-up is bad, but if make-up is an idol to you than that will be one of the first things God asks you to give up. if you know it's an idol, then you need to give it up, or at least tone it down. I think God is okay with a modest amount of make-up, like some foundation, and lip gloss.
Please do that immediately.
The bible says we should not grieve the Holyspirit that sealed us for our redemption.
We have to be obedient to the voice of God because He is helping us not to backslide and keep us on track until the day He comes for us.

@@Gary828 God also asked me to give up makeup, wearing of pants, nail polish. That was for me. When John the Baptist dresses as he dressed and ate only locust and the other, that was for him. God didn't tell the whole world to do that.
Mines was little trinkets of idols in my place and on my keychains. Threw away three bags, I felt free. He hasn’t said anything about my clothing, I don’t wear much makeup. I just had lots of carved things I was really attached to.
Mine was my oldest daughter. I fought God for 3 years!!! It was definitely the Abraham and Isaac moment. I finally broke, or should I say God broke me! Lol! And I released her. And now He's doing a beautiful thing in her life and I can see her journey He has her on so clearly. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾❤

I'm not saying that because of the virus but because of the Word of God. If you feel an urging or feeling that there's more to this life and you are not saved, Jesus Christ is it, He's what you are missing, he's what you need. Call on the name of Jesus and repent. It happened to me years ago. I know the feeling. First he took me out the clubs, then he took me from Hollywood, then he moved me completely our of Los Angeles. What she is speaking is very real but it is moreso protecting you from the ills of Hollywood and it will get worse. Not a place for a righteous soul. She has been tested big, giving up all that for The Most High, she submit and he will take care of her not in this life but the one to follow too. Blessings

She obeyed God, which is the wisest thing to do. If Jesus says quit.... you quit :) its because He had to be first- he had to work that into her heart. Then he put her back, so now acting was in its proper place(second to him). He needs to be first because He's God. Now look at her. :)

This video is from a few years ago. She took a break from acting, she didn’t quit it for good. And just to fill you in: since she came back to acting she’s became a BAFTA winning household name. God saw her obedience and He rewarded her with more success than she could have ever hoped for or imagined.

Yea there are some horrible things that the public don't know. But we do know that producers in all parts of Hollywood need you to deny your faith in order to fulfill there plans. For ex, acting in sexual scenes, profanity, homosexuality, murder scenes, scenes of hate, and much more. Same goes for singing and rap. Watching them is being an accomplice to what they do, especially role playing which is like lying or exaggeration. I quit watching them altogether. Not easy, but by God's grace , that hunger fir entertainment is consumed by hungering to listen to edifying sermons.

Also, consider how Rehab was praised for tricking the guards to protect the spies in the book of Joshua. She was praised by God for what she did. When Jesus says take up your cross and follow him he meant it. Being truly converted is not what most think. You will be required to give up people, places, and things. He will speak and test you to see if and how you obey. It's called sanctification and the refiners fire begins to burn up the old man.
Idolatry is sneaky and as she said in the video acting is one of them. It's not religious thinking, its righteous thinking and God's children have the mind of Christ. To give up our idols to follow Christ first is way more important than getting worldly rewards and accolades. I pray she will continue to say yes to Jesus and no to the world. Her assignments can very well be within those agencies but the real test is what will she tolerate? Sin leads to hell, and warning those people of hell fire is the love of God. Sometimes God gives people fame and influence so that they can help bring people to Christ. Acting is not idolatry. It’s an art form. It can become an idol though, like anything else, if we put it before God. She states that in the video. God tested her by telling her to give up the biggest acting gig of her career. She put God first and was obedient and he blessed her even more in return. She shares her testimony with those that will listen.

The Bible reads, that, when you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart, you're sealed with the Holy Spirit from that moment, until the day of your redemption. It doesn't say... you're saved, until you sin at another time. Scripture: forgive us, as we forgive those, who trespass against us. And if we are to forgive sins against us up to 70 times 7 in a single day, then how merciful is a God, who forgives just as much as that? Prodigal son.... The Bible also states, that, if you go out, from among us, leaving behind salvation, then you weren't actually saved to begin with (paraphrased). Believing on Jesus Christ for your strength is enough. The thief on the cross, most likely had no good works. So works aren't accredited to salvation. Because, the Bible states, that, the righteousness of mankind is, but filthy rags. Besides, if a man says he doesn't lie, then that man is a liar. No one is sinless in this life. A righteous person falls seven times and gets up again.

Sometimes, like Elisha, we have to burn the bridges behind us to follow after the Lord. Shortly after I was born again in Christ back in June 2020, the Lord convicted me with this passage. I ended up throwing out and deleting nearly three decades of writing, research, illustrations, 3d models, and media material for a novel series that was representative of my life's work. A brainchild if there ever was one. Even so, the riches in Christ are so much greater than any treasure or the working of our hands/mind we can store away here on Earth.
Letitia's testimony is so powerful here. I hope others can realize that there is everything to gain in giving up those aspirations that appear shiny in the eyes of the flesh but are as dross and dung in the eyes of the spirit and faith.

Jesus would never direct his child to play in a spiritualist film that would lead people to pray to their dead ancestors. That goes against the Bible...the luke warm Christians will try to discredit your comment.
@@daniticasimmons Black Panther was released January 2018...this interview was done after the movie was released. She played in Black Panther after claiming she surrendered her life to Jesus. This is dangerous because she has a platform. Take a look at her testimony called Jesus Was My Last Hope Letitia Wrights Testimony. Black Panther led people away from Jesus...but she states God told her to accept a Hollywood movie role which goes against his Biblical teachings. God bless

Alot of black people were led to praying to their dead ancestors after the movie was released....praying to dead ancestors or people is demonic according to the Bible.
