I just assume they had a relationship during their time at war, in moments of escape during a time of hell. It would have been incredibly risky and terrifying, but desperation and love drives people. There were no death scenes in this, (despite in both Band of Brothers and Atonement James dies) so there wasn't a tragic ending to this video. Perhaps the ending is them both coming to their wits ends with the war and their fear surrounding their relationship, they just want peace, and perhaps it is together, but not here.
The scenes of Michael come from Band of Brothers, which was a war tv series in 2001. The scenes of James come from a film he did called Atonement in 2007, but he was also in Band of Brothers too, and the majority of the scenes shown in this video are a collision of Michael and James' time in that series. They were in the same series, and I believe that is how they met in real life, but there were no scenes of them actually together from it, I believe. They never shared screentime.
I am a bit confused as to the plot. Are they fighting the same war? Are they enemies or comrades? Were they lovers before the war started and now they are fighting opposite sides?. Okay I am a lot confused.
