I also added a 1968 Evy 9.5 to keep the boat period correct, as it also is a 1968. I'm excited to read your comments. Best wishes to you and all your viewers from Brisbane Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️

    Strange thing I just picked up a 1990 UFI 20hp LS ..Want to bore out intake to 25hp size.Missing the head of all things and a few other issues.Hoping it’s a runner.Have a head.Last UFI motor I got was destroyed by a screw coming loose on UFI and gouging flywheel and ripping things up.Wonder if I should pull flywheeland check it🤔.

    Nice video on what's under the fly wheel. I did find a solas amita 2211-108-10 14 spline 10.8" 10 pitch for my 1989 25hp evinrude. It will be in my hand tomorrow. Currently 10.3 x12 pitch turns at 4500 rpm. My 15.5 trim at hole 2 shows no cavitation but at hole 3 it starts at hole your lucky to hit 14 mph with a ton of cavitation. Mph Currently is 21.3 shows my garmin 7vs @ 4500 rpm. I'm looking for more top speed for getting off the water when lighting strikes. My boat is stick steer with just me in it 650 lbs total weight, ad my brother inlay 800lbs with 6 gallons of gasoline.

    Another question. When i remove the 91johnson entire stator armature plate down to bare powerhead block, and set this on the 92 powerhead bare block is there any certain way i need to set the piston to TDC or just line it up the same way as removed from 91. I cant go by the 91 #1 piston due to it has come aprt from the crank so it doesnt move. I thought i would set the bad to the #2 piston TDC and do the same for the 92 when interchanging the ign system plate to the 92 or does it even matter just line up the keyway to flywheel from 91. the 92 replacement has no flywheel with it or ign parts to it. Thanks

      Hey. so no flywheel to compare. did you check the schematics on both cranks & all- Just put it together the way it's supposed to go- you've got nothing to lose at this point- curious to know how it goes!

      @@THISOLDOUTBOARD1 Purchased a bare powerhead 1 year newer as mentioned before part# s for most are the same except for stator plate, and flywheel but bare blocks cylinder and crankcase have same numbers. We have a 1991 40 hp johnson, Power head went bad # 1 piston came apart. I have a 1992 evinrude 40 hp powerhead with the j suffix. the 91 has a spark advance plate for the rod to connect to, the 92 does NOT have a spark advance plate. Can i just remove the entire assembly from the 91 powerhead with spark plate and install it on the 92 without any mods or trouble ? Sure hope you can help!

    • @THISOLDOUTBOARD1
      @THISOLDOUTBOARD1 2 месяца назад

      I would think so- anytime I want to swap parts I usually go to marineengine.com and compare both models schematics- just to see what I'm up against. the suffix usually means they changed something- could be just one part- or anything- I would think that two bare bones powerheads only a year apart should be pretty close to identical- so do some homework- get er done!

      @@krd4834 did u check the schematics? my guess is they're the same, wouldn't doubt they're probably the same part number- flip both flywheels over and see where if the key slots line up the same with the magnets- I just did all this with an 89 25hp powerhead and 96 30hp ignition.
