LED ZEPPELIN members went to court over plagiarism of the SPIRIT song "TAURUS" from the "SPIRIT" (1968 ) album . The case was eventually dismissed . LED ZEPPELIN had toured with SPIRIT and the song was heard by LED ZEPPELIN at a concert by SPIRIT . The main reason that the song was never made into a single was the fact that the song was over eight minutes long and would have to be edited in order to fit onto a "45" . The group objected to this and said that if the fans wanted the song , they would have to buy the album . Early 1970's FM stations began to play AOR ( ALBUM ORIENTED ROCK ) and this song was a favorite !
The Osmonds and the Jackson 5 back in the 70s they had their own cartoons, The Osmonds and their own ZIP Code, and who can forget the pressure they put on different production members to become Mormon, and feared they lose their jobs if they didn’t submit! Interestingly enough, when the movie the hangover was being filmed in Las Vegas, you can see Donny and Marie on the marquee in the background! And who can forget Donny and Marie’s variety show back in 76,77, classmates would put on skits of Donny and Marie from the show! In the early 70s, we were stationed overseas in England, very few American things showed on TV, back then, Star Trek, Kung Fu,Hannibal Heyes, and Kid Curry, and when we left in 74, the Waltons, MASH started playing late at night, that was it!

I was 13 or around 12 when all these songs wear playing on the radio and I really hated all of them.. I always thought "GOD IS THERE ANY GOOD SHIT OUT THERE WORTH LISTENING TO" then came LED ZEPPELIN and BLACK SABBATH and PINK FLOYD and DAVID BOWIE and ALICE COOPER that really saved the music world.. think God
